Building The Perfect Harem With My Heavenly Desire System

Chapter 83: Plotting A Poisonous Plan

Chapter 83

By the time the glass doors of Empire Real Estate shut behind them, Julian’s pride had completely shattered, beyond repair. So much so that even the ride back to his personal villa felt really suffocating.

Not a single peep was heard throughout the entire ride.

Julian just sat still in the back seat with one hand still clutching his sore throat, and a pale face slowly darkening with humiliation. Just thinking about what had happened earlier made his chest burn with rage.

Right this moment, he wanted to punch something, he wanted to scream to get this awful feeling away. And what made everything even worse was that the person responsible for it was a peasant he had seen as nothing more than trash!

The moment the car finally pulled into the private underground garage of his residence, he didn’t wait for the driver to open the door, like he would normally do. Instead he just kicked the door open and stormed out.

By the time Julian pushed the door to his villa, and entered inside, he finally exploded.

"THAT FUCKING BASTARD!!!"

He grabbed the nearest crystal vase beside the door and hurled it across the room. It shattered violently against the wall with a loud crash, causing broken fragments to scatter across the polished marble floor.

His chest rose up and fell down rapidly, as he paced back and forth like a caged beast.

"How dare he..." Julian muttered, his voice trembling with rage. "How dare a nobody put his filthy hands on me... On me?!"

Behind him, the old butler stepped in quietly, and quickly closed the door carefully, while the bodyguard followed behind more slowly with his injured shoulders now wrapped right with his jacket, to act as a makeshift bandage.

"Young Master Julian. Perhaps it would be really nice to let this matter rest for now. After all, the gentleman clearly chose to spare you. That in itself suggests that...."

"Spare me?!" Julian spun around so fast that his shoes squeaked against the floor. "SPARE ME?!!! That bastard humiliated me in public! In front of those lowly staff! And you’re telling me to let it go?!"

The butler didn’t flinch from Julian’s outburst, instead he just continued cautiously.

"I am merely suggesting that provoking someone capable of such... Strength, especially after they showed restraint, may not be the most prudent course of action."

Julian let out a harsh laughter while running his hand through his slick chestnut hair.

"Prudent? You want prudent?" He pointed sharply toward the butler. "I want him dead. I don’t care how, and I don’t care how much it is going to cost. Just call someone. A mercenary, assassin, I don’t give a damn. Just make sure that bastard disappears forever!"

The butler hesitated.

"Sir, I must advise against..."

"I SAID FUCKING CALL THEM!!!"

Julian’s chest heaved as he glared at the stunned old man. His patience was now completely gone.

"OR DO I NEED TO REMIND YOU WHO YOU WORK FOR?!!!"

The old man’s lips pressed into a thin line before he finally responded.

"... Very well, Young Master. I will go and call one of our hired killers."

He reached into his coat pocket slowly, pulling out his phone. And just before he could even bring it out, a voice suddenly called out.

"Don’t."

Both men turned, surprised by the unexpected firmness of the voice. The bodyguard stood near the entrance with a pale expression on his face, and his injured arm hanging stiffly in his makeshift bandage.

Julian frowned.

"Why did you say stop, stone?"

The bodyguard exhaled slowly.

"I said don’t because mercenaries and hired killers won’t be able to do anything to someone like him."

Julian blinked before letting out a scoff.

"Tsk. What the hell are you talking about? Or is it that the pain in your hand is finally affecting that tiny brain of yours?"

The bodyguard stepped forward, ignoring the dull pain in his badly broken arm.

"And are you telling me that you didn’t notice anything strange today?"

"Notice what, stone? Stop speaking all these bullshit riddles and tell me."

"Ok, do you remember the temperature when we were still in Empire Real Estate. That the moment he got annoyed with you... The room’s temperature suddenly dropped down. And don’t tell me that it was just the air conditioning. It was too sudden and unnatural."

Julian’s brows furrowed.

"And the way he moved," the bodyguard continued. "That wasn’t just any kind of speed a human could attain through something like training. I’ve seen elite soldiers, and I’ve trained with them. But none of them has ever moved with that level of speed."

His jaws suddenly tightened as he recalled what happened.

"I didn’t even see him move properly. One moment he was standing there with his hands in his pocket... And the next, he had you in the air."

"And then there’s the strength he showed, earlier," the bodyguard added. "You’re not exactly light yourself, Young Master. But he lifted you up with only one hand, despite his slender build. And he still had enough power to send me flying into the walls like I weighed nothing."

There was a thick heavy silence after he finished speaking. The butler had even began lowering his phone back into his pocket, while Julian stared at him with a more serious gaze.

"So what are you saying?"

The bodyguard met his gaze directly and said firmly.

"All I’m saying is that... He is most likely an Awakened."

Julian frowned.

"An what?"

"An Awakened," the bodyguard repeated. "Humans who have already surpassed the very limit of human biology. They are people who wield abilities that go far beyond anything you’d ever consider possible. And they are people who no one in this room can afford to offend."

Julian looked at him before bursting out into laughter. He laughed so hard that he began to clutch his stomach to calm himself down.

"Awakened? Yeah right. What bullshit are you talking about... Superpowers. Haha. Next thing you’ll tell me is that you can fly and shoot lasers from your eyes."

"I don’t lie. You should know that I served in the army. And I bet with you on my life that I’ve seen an Awakened. Before that, I would have laughed and called the person a fraud. But I once saw a damn awakened with my very own eyes. And guess what? It was my commanding officer... He was one of them.

Julian’s laughter slowly died down.

"I once saw him take on over a hundred enemy soldiers alone," the bodyguard continued with a solemn gaze. "Gunfire, explosives... None of it could stop him. I saw him activate some kind of blue forcefield around him and wreak havoc among the enemy soldiers. I then saw him crush one of the enemies head with a single punch."

He paused, before continuing.

"That kind of power is not mere fiction, Young Master. It does exist. People like you just don’t see it because people like that operate far above normal society, or some choose to live a normal life."

Julian’s expression first shifted to doubt, then irritation before finally accepting it with a half hearted approach.

"So you’re telling me that people with special abilities like those in movies really exist?"

"Yes."

"And you expect me to believe that?"

"Think about it, Young Master. Why do top families like the Kade’s, and underworld figures like Nyx and Marcus seem so powerful? Do you really believe that they maintain their power in this city with money alone?"

The old butler even interjected.

"Young Master. I can attest to the fact that he is telling the truth. Me and your father have once heard about these powerful individuals, for a while your father even sought to buy one as his personal bodyguard. But it’s a pity that they are very expensive. And think of this. Why would Nyx choose someone like that young man to be her boyfriend? Aside from his face, there is nothing particularly special about him... You know what I think? I think that she made him her boyfriend because he is an Awakened."

Julian went quiet.

"So if he is one of these... Awakened," Julian said slowly. "Then what? Do I just let him go? Especially after what he did to me?"

The bodyguard didn’t answer. Because they both already knew that Julian wouldn’t swallow the jab to his pride.

A few seconds passed. Then the butler cleared his throat softly.

"If I may, Young Master..."

Julian glanced at him impatiently.

"What now?"

The old man adjusted his cuffs calmly and spoke.

"If direct confrontation is not possible, then perhaps an indirect form of action would be more suitable."

"Go on."

A faint calculating smile touched the butler’s lips.

"Since we all know that this gentleman has already drawn the attention of Master Renzo."

Julian’s eyes flickered.

"...Yeah?"

"Then why not simply inform him?"

Julian frowned slightly.

"What the hell are you talking about old man?"

The butler’s voice remained calm.

"Call Master Renzo, and tell him that you encountered the man who embarrassed him at the gala, today. Tell him that, as a loyal friend and ally, you attempted to teach the boy a lesson for the disrespect shown at the gala. But then, relay some fake insult that the gentleman threw back. Tell Master Renzo that the man called him a weakling. Tell him that the man said he doesn’t take a loser like Kade seriously, and most importantly..."

Arthur paused, a small, wicked smile playing on his lips.

"Tell him that the man boasted about Miss Nyx. Tell Master Renzo that the man said, what a failure like Renzo couldn’t achieve with Nyx in years, I’ve already done in a single night. After all, you should remember that after Master Renzo stormed off that night, he calmed down and considered the possibility that Nyx was just using the man as a shield. So if you tell him that the gentleman had actually slept with the woman he had set his eyes on..."

A slow, ugly grin crept up Julian’s lips.

"He’ll lose his mind. The guy is practically obsessed with Nyx, so if he thinks that, that man has actually touched her, he’ll go ballistic."

"Exactly," the butler nodded. "At first he’ll likely send his usual thugs or a hired killer out of sheer rage. And when they fail, which they will if Stone’s assessment of Mr Walker is correct. Renzo will be forced to acknowledge that he is dealing with something more than a simple nuisance. He will realize that Mr Walker is an Awakened. And because the Kade family cannot be seen as weak, he’ll be forced to deploy one of their own Awakened to eliminate the threat."

Julian let out a sharp laugh, with his hand going to his aching throat.

"I love it. I don’t have to lift a single finger. All I just need to do is sit back and watch the Kade monsters tear that bastard apart and then I can walk all over his corpse and spit on it. Arthur, you’re a genius."

"I merely seek to serve the family interest, sir," Arthur replied with a low bow.

Julian immediately grabbed his phone from the coffee table and hurriedly dialed Renzo’s private number. He looked over at stone who was being helped to a chair by a maid who had just entered the room.

"You hear that stone? I’m going to let the big dogs handle the freak. We’ll see how fast he moves when a real Kade Awakened is breathing down his neck."

Stone didn’t reply. He just watched Julian with a look of profound weariness. For a minute he wondered if Julian was making the biggest mistake of his life by poking the hornet’s nest one more time.

But Renzo was already speaking into the phone with a voice dripping with fake concern and exaggerated outrage.

"Renzo? Hey man, it’s Julian. Look I have something to tell you... and you’re not going to like it. I ran into that prick Walker today. Yeah, the one from the gala. I tried to back him down for you but the things he said about you... And about Nyx...man, I can’t even repeat them without getting angry..."
