VRMMO: World's First Glyphborne

Chapter 160: Illusionist vs Delusionist

LusciousLox fell to the ground, landing right on her butt, before shifting herself into a more dramatic and ’helpless’ position, like a princess that was being rescued by her Prince. She was loving every moment of her Prince fighting for her honour and defending her.

She was practically gnawing her lip in half with how much she was biting it, all whilst staring at the Prince of Stars with starving eyes.

With every swing of his sword she could imagine his rippling muscles moving. Every time his face scrunched up in effort, she could image that face looming over her as it performed other strenuous activities.

She shuddered with twisted delight at those images, closing her eyes to bask in them for a moment, before opening them again to fill her mind palace with more delightful images. However a pair of thick legs wrapped in robes blocked her vision of her beloved.

"Hey Moron! You are in the way! Move out of the way before I- AAAAHHHH!" Her feral barking immediately turned to horrified screams as she moved her eyes up and landed on the face of the individual towering over her.

The red skinned demon leered down at her, letting out a few snorts of irritation that caused steam to curl from his nose.

"You broke the rules." Fla’mbae said in a low, rumbling tone. "Do you know what happens to repeat rule breakers?"

The demon held his hands either side of him, as his palms erupted into crackling flames. Lox could feel the heat of the flames tickling her skin, their presence bringing back the horrible memories of being burned alive, and losing all of her progress.

She had already been reduced down so many stat levels, she couldn’t take it again!

"No.... No please! You can’t do this to me! Not again! I didn’t do anything wrong!" She cried, tears streaming down her cheeks. She quickly scrambled backwards as the demon slowly approached her.

She fired her own spells at him, trying to hit him in the face with anything. Fire exploded where he stood, completely engulfing him as she hit him with a barrage of as many fireballs as she could muster.

But even after five fireballs in a row, and her magic seriously dwindling to the point that she was about to pass out, Fla’mbae passed through the flames like they weren’t even there, as he continued on his approach.

"Using my own element against me? Not a smart girl, are you?" He muttered with disgust, causing LusciousLox to let out another horrified cry before turning, scrambling to her feet and running as fast as she could.

She sobbed and wept to herself, pleading as she ran, but even as fast as she moved the demon simply appeared in her path like a phantom.

She screamed again, turning and running the other direction, only for him to appear in her path again. Still slowly walking towards her with that hellish fire crackling in his hands.

Over and over the pattern repeated. No matter where she ran, he would always teleport in front of her, trapping her like a rat until she had no choice to collapse to the ground once again, her face a mess.

There were no crocodile tears here, nor were they the practiced and attractive crying made to make men feel pity on her.

No, these were true tears. Her face completely beet red and scrunched up as she balled her eyes out, streams of snot dripping from her nose and even inflating into bubbles occasionally, as she wept like a toddler.

She was so caught up in her little moment of terror, weeping to herself as she was curled up on the middle of a battlefield, that she hardly noticed the scrying skull floating nearby. It’s ruby eyes gleaming as it recorded every single moment, including the snot bubbles.

Vestra clicked her tongue and shook her head as she watched the result of her work,

"Ew... Now that is definitely not attractive. I can’t believe I got her to this point with such a simple illusion. Really though, I am proud of myself. That little detail of the flames heat was truly brilliant." She muttered to herself, followed by a menacing chuckle.

She glanced towards Belladonna, giving her a subtle thumbs up before turning back to her work of art. If she said that she did this exclusively because she messed with Belladonna, as well as her new muscular friend, then that would be a lie.

Honestly, Vestra had known about LusciousLox for years, and hated her for just as long. No one was that pretty and adorable without forcing it. She deserved to be brought down a peg... or ten.

Cackling wickedly to herself, she watched the replay of the video on her scrying skull as LusciousLox continued to cry, even when the illusion of Fla’mbae was gone.

"Now... The real question is, Do I save this for a special occasion, or do I post it now? Hm... Decisions decisions."

***

Belladonna chuckled as she saw the state that her ’nemesis’ had been left in, and the mischievous expression on Vestra’s face as she stared at the secretive details of her Scrying Skull. There was not a doubt in her mind that Lox deserved what had happened to her, in fact she thought that life was going a bit easy on her.

Maybe a bit of humiliation was exactly what she needed.

However, while Vestra’s departure from the fight wasn’t noticed too much, as her illusions were useless on the dragon and much more useful for torturing stuck up girls, the absence of Revenant and his undead minion were noticed.

Especially by her.

That rotting meat shield had been great, but now she was down two tanks while Lilith was recovering from the fall and the fireball. All that left them was Saige, who was focusing on Lilith, and Figg, who was terribly suited for this fight.

"It’s too tough on the outside, we will never get through!" She heard someone else say. Just one of the random players that had also been attracted by the prospect of the loot.

"This is hopeless! We might as well just give up and let the guilds take it. They are the ones that are gonna get it in the end anyways. What’s the point in dying over this bullet sponge?"

"Wait! That’s it!" His friend said, clearly having a genius idea, "It’s too tough on the outside. So we just need to hit it from the inside!

If we jump into its mouth and don’t get chewed up, then we can start killing it from within. It’s brilliant!" The player exclaimed excitedly.

In fact, he was so confident in his idea that he immediately drew his sword and charged straight towards the Dragon, screaming the warcry of personal strength as he did so.

"LEEERROOOY! JEEEEEEENNNKKIIII-"

Crunch!

The player leapt into the Dragons open mouth, and was immediately crushed by its teeth as it eagerly chewed him up, not even letting him finish his war cry.

The idiotic players friend let out a loud groan, slapping his hand against his face, while Belladonna chuckled at the side. She shook her head, following his friends thoughts that he was, indeed, a complete and utter moron.

But after a second she paused and considered his words again. Maybe... He wasn’t completely stupid.
