"My daughter!" cried a red-haired man right as they left the ship. It was Wudi, and he was running and bawling at the same time, his beard fluttering in the wind. Qingyu was terrified at the prospect of the hug.
"Stop!" She held her arms outstretched to stop Wudi from bear-hugging her. "You're drinking and not showering again! What’ve you been doing all this time?!"
"Missing you, my daughter!" Wudi exclaimed. He burped and took a large swig of wine. "Your brother here brought me some fine stuff from the imperial capital! Do you want a taste?"
Qingyu was speechless.
"My precious granddaughter!" An old woman appeared right after.
"Grandma!" Now her, Qingyu happily welcomed. Tianming had wanted to witness this sight for far too long. His family was finally reunited! They had been separated for far too long, all the way from the Grand-Orient Sect to the Flameyellow Imperial Star. It was a long, long overdue reunion.
"Come to think of it, where's that Feng brat?" Wudi asked, feigning ignorance toward his 'son-in-law.' The fact that he had asked, though, betrayed his worry for him.
"It's a long story," Tianming said.
"Then simplify it for me," Wudi said.
