She crawled closer and hugged Tianming's thigh, tears still flowing. It was a rather moving sight to see someone like her fall to depths like that.
"You'd even kill your own father?" Tianming's voice sounded like loud booms in her ear.
"I will!" she answered without thinking.
"Are you that afraid of death?"
"Of course! I'm utterly terrified of death, so much so that it's laughable! Everyone only has one life! Who knows if reincarnation is real? Even if it is, would I be able to reincarnate into heights like these again in the next life? If I become just another speck of dust in the mortal world, I might as well not live! I'm really fortunate in this life, so I don't want to waste it by dying. I'll do anything to survive!"
Tianming lost it and laughed, "Looks like the valley lord didn't teach his children what having a spine looks like."
