Remarriage Failed Again Today

Chapter 213: Her Wedding

Annabelle Linton opened the door.

The door opened to reveal a handsome, charming face. His lips were curved into a slight smile. With one hand tucked in his pocket, he casually took off his sunglasses with the other, revealing a radiant, handsome face.

The moment their eyes met, Annabelle Linton froze, thoroughly startled. "Aa-Aaron Wyatt?!"

"Hi." Aaron Wyatt immediately smiled at her and gently patted her head. "Annabelle, I came to see you."

Annabelle Linton gave a dry laugh.

"If I remember correctly, a reunion in a foreign country is supposed to bring people to tears. So what’s with the look on your face, like you’ve just seen a ghost?" Aaron Wyatt’s lips quirked.

Annabelle Linton finally snapped out of her shock and led him into the room. "What are you doing here?"

Aaron Wyatt sat on the sofa and said gently, "For one, I’m a best man. For two, I came to see you. Speaking of which, that wasn’t very cool of you, only calling me right before your flight."

Annabelle Linton handed him a drink. "It was all very sudden. A last-minute business trip."

"Oh... is that so?" Aaron Wyatt was clearly unconvinced.

’Can a three-month trip really be a last-minute decision?’

"It was." Annabelle Linton awkwardly brushed her hair back and quickly changed the subject. "By the way, why are you a best man?"

"Tiana Taylor and the others invited me. They mentioned you’d be here, so of course, I came. But..." Aaron Wyatt’s eyes scanned her from head to toe. "You look really beautiful today, Annabelle."

Annabelle Linton gave a faint smile, then glanced at her watch and said, "Thank you, but I think we should get going."

Aaron Wyatt gave a gentle smile and left with Annabelle Linton.

The wedding was being held at a seaside villa, which was quite a distance away.

Annabelle Linton rented a car, and it took them three hours to get there.

As soon as she got out of the car, the fresh scent of the sea breeze washed over her, and Annabelle Linton narrowed her eyes in comfort.

She casually stretched her arms. As the sea breeze blew, the hem of her dress swayed gently, giving her an ethereal aura.

Standing behind her, Aaron Wyatt was completely mesmerized.

’Annabelle is so beautiful.’

Annabelle Linton and Aaron Wyatt walked into the villa together. The wedding was about to begin.

So, they separated to attend to their respective duties.

Annabelle Linton stood beside the bride, watching the blissful woman in her white wedding dress, and found herself in a daze.

Her thoughts couldn’t help but drift back to her own wedding day.

That day, she had worn a high-low wedding dress, gazing at her reflection in the mirror with a heart full of hope and anticipation.

Friends and relatives knew she was marrying Leona Grant, and they came up one by one to curry favor with her.

They showered her with all sorts of compliments, and she smiled shyly.

But the three o’clock ceremony was dragged out until six, and there was still no sign of Leona Grant.

Although the wedding guests didn’t leave—out of respect for the Grant and Linton Families—she was forced to endure all manner of mockery, ridicule, and gloating.

She was a woman, too—a girl with romantic dreams. For the wedding she had fantasized about for so long, she truly didn’t feel a single ounce of happiness.

She’d lost count of how many times she’d cried, how many times she’d anxiously waited by the window for him to appear. Just as she was about to lose all hope, he finally arrived.

But he hadn’t even changed his clothes; he was still in an old suit, his expression impossibly cold.

Many people came up to offer toasts, but he ignored them completely.

The emcee had arranged so many parts for the ceremony, but he refused to participate in a single one. He just said coldly, "Where are the rings?"

Then, the rings were brought out. He roughly shoved the ring onto her finger and then left.

She had waited a lifetime—the wedding she had waited a lifetime for—and he didn’t even stay for five minutes...

At that moment, her heart truly ached.
