Chapter 159 - 158: Fairy Juice

Small nations like the Leiyin Republic, caught between the two superpowers of the Qianyuan Republic and the Brentania Republic, found survival incredibly difficult.

If the Dark Night Church’s Evil God incident were to implicate the Leiyin Republic’s royal family, the entire royal family could be wiped out. The Leiyin Republic would also cease to exist as an independent nation.

The Leiyin Republic was in no position to resist an investigation by Celestial Sword. If Celestial Sword were to make a judgment unfavorable to the Leiyin royal family, the nation would very likely be erased by the Qianyuan Republic.

Cao Zhen said flatly, "I’ll consider it."

Cao Zhen had been ambushed by Ah Fei Fei in the Leiyin Republic and nearly killed. Even though Su Hamu III had arranged for his rescue, he felt no goodwill toward the king. However, he was extremely shrewd and knew he was within Su Hamu III’s sphere of influence, so he held his tongue.

"Mr. Shu Feng, I am deeply grateful to you for exposing the true face of the Dark Night Church. Otherwise, who knows how many innocent people would have become sacrifices in their attempt to resurrect their Evil God. This is the Baronial Order of Merit. From this day forward, you are an honorary Baron of our Leiyin Republic."

Su Hamu III smiled gently and clapped his hands lightly.

A handsome attendant approached Shu Feng, holding a box, and presented it to him.

Liu Yang and Zhong Ming looked at Shu Feng, a flash of envy in their eyes.

Within the Qianyuan Republic, while the social hierarchy of the Lower Class, Noble Families, and Clans was incredibly strict, on the surface, everyone was equal and there was no aristocracy.

The Brentania Republic, however, had a system of nobility, with six ranks of aristocrats: duke, marquis, earl, viscount, baron, and knight. The nobility ruled over the commoners from high above, controlling vast resources.

The Jiasen Republic, on the other hand, was a nation of immigrants that had completely abolished its aristocracy. Compared to the Qianyuan and Brentania Republics, it was far more open and free.

Of course, while the Jiasen Republic seemed free and equal, it was actually controlled by enormous multinational conglomerates. Several of these behemoth corporations were family-run. From a certain perspective, they were no different from the Noble Families and Clans of the Qianyuan Republic—just the same wine in a new bottle.

The Leiyin Republic had only royalty and commoners, but it also offered the title of honorary noble. Upon receiving this title, a person was granted a series of privileges within the Leiyin Republic, such as priority medical care, access to all VIP passages, a 20% reduction in personal income tax, and more.

Only those who had made tremendous contributions to the Leiyin Republic were eligible for such a title. The kingdom often went an entire year without bestowing a single honorary decoration.

Shu Feng accepted the Baronial Order of Merit and said, "Thank you, Your Majesty!"

Su Hamu III smiled faintly and clapped his hands. A procession of beautiful maids approached, each carrying a silver cup for the guests.

Each silver cup was topped with a silver lid. As the maids lifted them, a pale green light bloomed from within each cup.

A tantalizingly fruity aroma filled the air.

"It smells amazing! What is this?"

Shu Feng took a whiff of the enticing aroma, and the Spiritual Power within him stirred, circulating a little faster.

Cao Zhen’s expression shifted. "This cup... could it be the legendary Fairy Juice? The kind brewed by the fairies of the Gulondo World?"

The fairies of the Gulondo World were beautiful, humanoid Extraordinary Creatures that lived in forests brimming with Spiritual Qi. They were merely the size of a person’s palm and had a pair of transparent wings on their backs.

The juice brewed by these fairies was one of the most delicious nectars in existence, a luxury item even more High Level than Seven-Colored Honey.

The small cup of Fairy Juice before Shu Feng and his party was worth tens of millions, and it was the kind of treasure you couldn’t buy even if you had the money.

Besides its exquisite taste, Fairy Juice was also known to rejuvenate the body, enhance one’s appearance, and prolong life. The single cup before each member of Shu Feng’s party could extend their lifespan by ten days.

"My ancestor once traveled through the Gulondo World and aided a group of fairies," the king explained. "They gifted him a jar of Fairy Juice. I have kept it all this time, unable to bring myself to drink it."

"You have all been through a terrible ordeal. When the Celestial Sword investigation team arrives, I humbly ask that you put in a good word for us."

Su Hamu III’s gaze fell upon Zhao Zixing, a flicker of hope in his eyes.

Among the group of five from the Qianyuan Republic, Cao Zhen was the strongest, but Zhao Zixing possessed the most distinguished status. If she were to speak up, even the members of Celestial Sword would have to show her some deference.

Zhao Zixing lowered her head slightly, remaining silent. ’As a direct descendant of the Zhao Family, it’s true I have some influence with Celestial Sword. But this situation in the Leiyin Republic involves an Evil God. The Spiritualist organizations of Blue Star’s three great superpowers will all be mobilized. How could I possibly ask for favors on Su Hamu III’s behalf in a matter of this magnitude?’

Su Hamu III’s gaze dimmed, but he maintained a gentle smile. "Come, everyone. Please, enjoy the taste of the Fairy Juice."

"This is truly delicious!" Liu Yang exclaimed excitedly after a small sip, his eyes lighting up.

"It truly lives up to its reputation! Fairy Juice really is worthy of being a tribute to the Divine Spirits!"

Shu Feng took a sip. As soon as the Fairy Juice touched his tongue, a wonderfully complex and layered fruity fragrance exploded in his mouth.

The delicious flavors of five distinct fruits—Asian pear, apple, lychee, dragon fruit, and candied date—danced on his tongue, none of them clashing. This was the magic of Fairy Juice: it fused five flavors, yet instead of mixing, they emerged one after another in perfect layers. This exquisite nectar could only be brewed using the fairies’ own Extraordinary Power, making it impossible to mass-produce.

As the Fairy Juice settled in Shu Feng’s stomach, a warmth spread through his body, dispelling his fatigue. A feeling of profound comfort washed over him, and his Spirit surged with vigor, as if a Flame was burning inside him.

In many parts of the Gulondo World, Fairy Juice was also used as a potent virility tonic. After drinking it, even a sixty-year-old man would become as fierce as a tiger.

Shu Feng activated the Great Sun Spiritual Power from his Sun and Moon Scripture, immediately refining the fiery heat in his body and converting it into exceptionally pure Spiritual Power.

"Truly delicious!"

"It is indeed a worthy tribute for the Divine Spirits!"

Cao Zhen and the others also drained their cups of Fairy Juice in a single gulp, singing its praises.

"And now, please enjoy the next course! I assure you, it will not disappoint."

Su Hamu III smiled mysteriously and clapped his hands lightly.

A tall, curvaceous, brown-haired female attendant strode in, holding a Gold tray.

Everyone’s eyes were fixed on the Gold tray, their faces full of anticipation. If the Fairy Juice was so exquisite, the next dish was bound to be even more delicious and rare.
