[VRMMO] Dead One

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEY BROKE THROUGH?!" – shouted furious king as he threw his chalice at the knight.

"HOW?!"

"WHY?!"

"THERE SHOULD BE NO POSSIBLE WAY!"

"DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH MONEY AND TIME WE HAD PUT IN CREATING THAT LINE OF THE DEFENCE?!"

"YOU PROMISED ME THAT THIS WALL WOULD LAST FOR YEARS!"

"BUT NOW YOU ARE TELLING ME THAT THEY DESTORYED IT IN LESS THAN A MONTH?!"

"Sir! It's not my fault!" – said the knight.

"The enemy managed to attack our supply lines vurnable points and destroyed them!"

"Not only that, but the reinforcements we had requested had not come to deal with the undeads and help out in restoration of the supply line!"

"Without supplies, no matter how powerful- "

"ENOUGH!" – shouted the king.

"YOU LEFT YOUR POST ALONGSIDE OTHER SOLDIER! BETRAYING THE ENTIRE KINGDOM!"

"GUARDS! ARREST THE TRAITOR AND THROW HIM INTO PRISON!"

The knight tired lashing out but he was immediately surrounded by castle guards, beating up the man as he resisted, before then finally tying him up and taking him out of the throne room.

"Tch."

"Useless bastard." – said the obese king.

"HEY! What about the holy alliance?! Where are the reinforcements?!"

"T-they said that they are coming…. But… It will take time." – said the vassal.

"TELL THEM TO HURRY THE FUCK UP!"

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU STILL HERE?!" – shouted furious king as the vassal just stayed in place nervously.

"Sir…. I've just received a report…. The Garog empire army are heading directly towards the capital city.

"?!"

"WHAT?! HOW?! EVEN IF THEY BROKE THROUGH OUR DEFENCES, IT SHOULDN'T BE POSSIBLE FOR THEM TO GET HERE SO FAST?!" – shouted nervous and panicking king.

"W-we don't know!" – said the vassal.

"According to the reports, most of the fallen soldiers were turned into undeads….. And the weapons that were provided to us by dwarves were destroyed by the empress of the Garog empire, Blueberry."

"None of the defenses we have set up are even slowing them down… At this rate they will reach the capital city."

"!?"

"WHY THE HELL ARE YOU ONLY TELLING ME THIS NOW?!"

"I-I only just now received the report!" – said the nervous vassal.

(SHIT! They broke through everything?! How?!) – thought the panicking king.

After breaking through the main line of the defense, the Garog empire advance could no longer be stopped by any other form of defense, sabotage or settlement.

Everything that stood in the army way was getting completely annihilated and they were not slowing down at all.

Normally their charge would had been stopped ages ago by the alliance, but because of the recent attack on the holy kingdom, a lot of the alliance forces were moved to the holy kingdom, leaving the Maq kingdom on their own.

However, even though the Garog empire broke though the massive defensive wall set up by the Maq kingdom, they shouldn't have easy time conquering the kingdom, right?

The answer is no.

The Maq king ordered MOST of the kingdom forces to be placed on the defensive line.

This made it hard for Garog empire to break through without suffering some loses….. But their strategy had big problem.

Their heavy reliance on the supply lines.

And once that supply line was cut, it was easy for the Garog empire to just demolish the entire "wall" and not only that but easily hunt down any of the Maq kingdom soldiers.

This was the problem.

Maq kingdom was lacking soldiers.

And to make matters worse, they were now lacking control as the higher ups of the kingdom, including the king were panicking while also not knowing what to do.

This led to the Garog empire just "walking" through the Maq kingdom without being stopped or bothered at all.

And finally, the Garog empire army had reached the capital city of the Maq kingdom.

"Huh…" – Blueberry flew high in the air and gazed at the city walls while using special gear set.

(The defenses of this city are pretty…. Average if I'm being honest.)

(But I do spot a lot of soldiers everywhere.)

Blueberry noticed the main gate opening…. And from them an group of three knights on the horse appeared, ridding towards the Garog empire main army while also having an white flag.

The three knights nervously continue approaching the Garog empire army, before then suddenly noticing an large shadow right above them.

From the skies, Blueberry landed right in front of three knights, startling them and their horse.

"Explain. Now." - said Blueberry.

"W-we…. The king of Maq kingdom wishes to surrender." – said one of the knights.

"In exchange for the kingdom safety, the king of Maq kingdom will not only surrender, but also offer kingdom alleges to the Garog empire, joining your alliance."

Blueberry stared down at the knights in silence, causing them to get nervous.

"No." – said Blueberry.

"I do not accept your surrender." – said Blueberry before then spreading her wings and taking into the air instantly, leaving behind the knights before then flying like a jet towards the city and getting instantly on top of the castle walls.

After getting right above the wall and putting all soldiers on the high alert, Blueberry opened up her inventory and took out a speaker.

"LISTEN UP MEN AND WOMAN OF MAQ KINGDOM!"

"I'M EMPRESS BLUEBERRY PHOBOS!"

"WIFE OF THE EMPEROR CLOWNFROG PHOBOS!"

"AND I'M ALSO THE ONE LEADING THIS ARMY!"

"THE KING OF THE MAQ KINGDOM OFFERED US A SURRENDER! HE WISHES TO SURRENDER AND JOIN OUR SIDE!"

And like that the Garog empire launched an siege on the capital city.

However, it could not be really called siege at all.

The defenses of the capital city had crumbled from the get go.

Not only that, but a huge amount of soldiers surrendered or deserted, resulting in the remaining soldiers that were left to get easily slaughtered.

In the end, the capital city off the Maq kingdom was too easily and too fast conquered…. As for the king and his loyalist?

They ran away before the battle even started.

King Maq and his loyalist decided to abandon their kingdom and run away... But they couldn't

Shri beast tracked down the king and his loyalist, killing some of the loyalist and imprisoning the rest alongside the king of Maq.

One of the kingdoms that was part of the holy alliance had been conquered by the Garog empire, resulting in the first major event that had happened ever since the start of the war.

With the kingdom of Maq getting conquered, there were few consequences and reactions.

1 – King of Maq kingdom had been captured and publicly executed for his crimes alongside the loyalist, resulting in Maq kingdom officially losing all members of the royal family and people in power. To add even more problem, their lose was "way too fast" and "too early", resulting in even bigger impact and spread of fear.

2 – The members of the "holy alliance" were affected in multiple ways by the conquest. One of the main factors were fear spreading among the soldiers while other was about doubt. This would obviously result in long term effect that would hinder all the members of the alliance.

3 – The Garog empire territory has expanded in worst possible way for the alliance.

The kingdom of Maq was located right next to the kingdom of Kor.

Now that the kingdom of the Maq had been conquered, the Garog empire had obtained their territory, resulting in them gain an second direction where the attacks could come from.

Obvious this was extremely dangerous for the kingdom of Kor since now they needed to defend themselves from two different sides at the same time.

And if the kingdom of Kor were to fall, the holy kingdom would be forced to not only fend itself, but it would be also attacked from 3 different directions.

The odds started raising against the holy alliance.
