Chapter 506 - 507 – Forgotten Story – Staff.
"…."
"?"
"Oh, you changed the scenery?" – asked ClownFrog as he saw that the entire around him changed to the forest.
"Yeb. Its an recreation. For the story telling purposes." – said sloth.
"Anyway, SHHH!"
"And let me start already, okay?"
"Yea, yea. I get it. I will keep my mouth shut." – ClownFrog.
"Good." – said sloth.
"And now, lets the story begin."
Long time ago, before the time you now know was here, there was different time. An time so ancient and so unknown that isn't known properly.
This is the story from that unknown time.
An story that is tied to the being from the so called "Forgotten World".
However, before I say their story, I will need to tell the story of their parents.
You may or may not heard their name, so I shall tell what people know about him.
Long ago there was an boy.
An simple boy, an nobody and yet somebody who would be the one worth enough to pull the swords from the legends.
An sword that is known Caliburn.
And the boy would be later become an hero and an king who led the knights, becoming the strongest knight and the king, earning himself an title of the "King of the knights".
However, this story isn't focused mainly about him.
No.
Its about the man who led the king, helped him, protected him, teached him, served him and was his friend.
The child of an incubus and an human woman.
The man who is called the "Kingmaker" for his story and achievements.
The mage known as Merlin.
And the Forgotten Being we will be talking about is somebody related to them. Their offspring.
An daughter of the Merlin.
Erza.
An simple name. An common name.
But non the less, an name that belonged to the daughter of the mage Merlin.
This is her story.
And this is the "truth" that was hidden alongside her Forgotten History.
….
This story itself did not beginned with Arthur nor his first sword.
Nay.
It happened ages ago.
As you may know or had heard, Merlin wasn't an pure human, an hybrid.
An half demon – Half human.
But in reality this wasn't the truth.
Nay.
He was an being that originally was half demon and half spirit.
An creation of the love between an demon and an spirit.
Merlin as an hybrid between the spirit and demon had extremely high affinity with the magic, with also brough fourth curiosity.
He experimented, tried different things, he did different things and he created different things.
His power was… Overwhelming to say the least.
Honestly, he could be said to be an god with his power.
However, this bored him.
He just didn't understood.
He didn't enjoyed it at all.
He no lingered seen magic as "toy".
The same goes to the beings he knowns as spirits and demons.
He did no lingered seen purpose in their existence to the point he just abandoned them.
"No reason."
"No fucking reason."
He said as he stared at the sky.
He left his home, his tree, all in order to see if this world was even worth living in.
He wondered around, leaving what he once called home.
He left the spirits.
He left the demons.
Ignored their existence.
He met different beings of a different natures…. Some were gods while some were beings of pure power… But that bored him.
Their existence in his eyes was…. "WITHOUT MEANING AND REASON".
He didn't care….. But he though that maybe he don't need to look somewhere high or mid grounds, but instead he should look down.
And so, he did.
He found the beings knowns as humans.
He found them ugly.
He found them petty.
He found them pathetic.
….
But he also found them beautiful.
But he also found them compassionate.
But he also found them brave.
…
He did not understand them, but he was interested in them.
"What is going on?"
"They are weak, but also strong?"
"They are ugly, but also beautiful?"
"This doesn't…. This doesn't work this way…. Or does it?"
He did not understood at all what was happening.
These beings are same as spirits, demons and gods. They don't have meaning and reason.
However, they instead craft their reason and meaning.
But the beings such as spirits, demons and gods can also be ugly and beautiful, strong but weak as well as cowardly and brave at the same time.
However, humans? They are just…Unknown.
That it. They are unknown.
He found their existence romantic.
And so, he observed them for the years.
He observed them, saw their falls and rises through their ends.
The villains.
The heroes.
The champions of the people.
The traitors to the human race.
He saw them all and he found them all romantic.
However, truth to be told he was childish.
He lowed heroes.
He lowed seeing them adventuring.
He lowed to see them suffer, only for them defeat their adversaries and rise up once again.
He lowed their spirits.
He lowed their achievements.
He just loved them like an child.
Obsession.
He became obsessed about them.
He fallen in love in them if not worshiped them…. It could be said that it was an drug for him, something that make him feel "alive".
He told him self that this is what he was looking for. This is what he wanted to witness!
An tale of a hero!
He loved them beyond believe! He loved heroes to the point he could no longer live without reading or seeing their tales.
He felt completed….. Or so he though….
He wanted to see more.
More epic stories.
More legends born by their deeds.
More achievements that they had reached.
However, this also caused him question.
"Why?"
"Why did you died so soon?!"
"Why did you betrayed the world and turned into villain and won?!"
"Why did you let the evil defeat you?!"
"Why did you abandoned your duty?!"
"Why did you became an coward?!"
"Why did you decided to end your own life?!"
He started seeing that many of the "tales" he though that were perfect were in reality not.
He began seeing faults and errors here and there…. And those confused him.
"Are those heroes? No! They are not!"
"No! This isn't it! They are heroes! They are truly heroes!"
"…."
"But…. They are…. Faulty…."
Perfection.
He started question himself what is the "hero" and what is their "story".
They were not perfect.
They never were.
But they were heroes, but not perfect ones.
….
But what if he was looking wrong?
What if there is something called "Perfect Hero"?! Perfect story of theirs?!
Heroes.
No matter how many he saw, he was no longer fully satisfied.
No matter how heroic they were or how noble they were, it wasn't enough.
He always found them "wrong".
No. Its better to said that he always saw them as "imperfect".
After watching heroes through the ages, he wanted to see more.
He wanted to see epic tales! He wanted to see them grow beyond anything else he saw before!
He wanted them to suffer! He wanted them to succeed!
He wanted to witness an perfect story that befits the hero and he wanted to see the perfect ending befitting their story.
However, no matter how much he waited, how much he observed, the hero of his dreams was never to be. He even saw some heroes becoming gods if not beings that can rival the gods, but even so, it wasn't the thing he wanted to see.
He was never satisfied.
What he wanted to see was an perfect hero. The hero from his dreams.
….
But even so, he had not found it even after searching and looking everywhere.
He could not find his perfect hero anywhere.
And so, he started getting boring once again…. The boringness that was straight up killing him from inside… He was growing dead inside, wishing to die…. But even so he wanted to see it.
He wanted to see the perfect hero tale.
Boringness overwhelmed him and so he ventured among the humans once again, pretending to be one while searching for the hero he wishes to see, but once again and the next day he did not saw anything.
Again, and again, again and again. He wandered around.
He wanted to die.
He thought that if there is no such thing as perfect hero, then why does he exist anymore?
If there is no "TRUE" hero, then why does he wonder and seek?
….
But then he saw something. Something common and something that should be interesting.
An mother giving birth to an child.
At first it didn't bothered Merlin at all, but as he continue watching, his world twisted and question began filling his head.
"…. Birth?"
It hit him.
What if he doesn't need to wait for an hero to appear.
Nay.
He may instead give birth to the being that would be an hero.
However, who would be the parents?
He saw gods, angels, demons, gods and all sort of beings mating with the humans, creating an hybrid who then became an hero.
However, above everything else, "Human" part is necessary.
But who would be the perfect one? The being that would use their "Human" side and nature to become the perfect hero?
Before he did nothing and instead watched the heroes and never helped, he was nothing more than spectator.
But what if he could be an spectator AND the mentor?
Somebody that would teach the hero while also watching them from the sidelines and enjoying the show?
But there was an problem. He wasn't human.
Half demon half spirit. This was what he was….. But he did not gave up.
No.
He used both of his sides to create something…. And destroy something.
He destroyed himself.
He destroyed his own existence, splitting it while also causing mutation and growth.
He killed humans, countless humans, stealing their identity, nature and humanity, all of it for two things. Two mutations.
The two mutations happened alongside the separation of his demonic and spirit sides.
And finally, the destruction and birth of two beings was born.
Two forms, one male and one female, each one containing respective sides but also something else.
Human.
They were not pure demons or pure spirits, nay. They were hybrids.
An being that is pure half demon and pure half human.
An being that is pure half spirit and being pure half human.
Those two beings were once Merlin but were no longer him.
The first one was being that would be the male part, the father. The half demon half human.
He would inherited the name of the original, of the being the two once were.
Merlin.
And the second would be the new name.
The name that connects with the spirits and communication with the men.
The female part, the mother. Half spirit half human.
Morgan.
The father and mother was born. An beings capable of reproducing while also making sure that their offspring would inherit some of their power.
And so, they loved each other and gave birth.
They gave birth to an girl that was half human and was also one quarter demon and one quarter spirit.
Their daughter that was their creation and hope for creation of a perfect and ideal hero.
Her name was Erza.
