[VRMMO] Dead One

The appearance of the Hell Lord did make things…. "Complicated", but obviously we could no longer delay our invasion…. And so, once all of our troops had been prepared, we instantly gathered up our troops and set off towards Oin empire once again.

The army we had prepared was…. Well, it was made to confront the Oin empire and the emperor tricks, but not the Hell Lord…. So, we don't know shit if they will be enough.

Still, we cannot wait, since the longer we would wait, the more demonic beast that Hell Lord would summon.

We also don't know with the Hell Lord did.

Focus on recovery his power first after the failed summoning?

Or did he fully focused on increasing his own ranks?

Either of these options does not look well for us.

Realistic speaking, I think he would go with the first option, since he must be aware of the fact that we have an ability to raise the death on our side.

So….. How strong is he – That is the question.

He is definitely an unique NPC rank, but is he an raid type of boss or not?

Honestly, there is a still a lot of missing informations about him.

We do know he specialize in hunting and tracking and that he can also take fight in many different areas, ranging from seas to the skies.

Oron told us something about his weird skinny arms being able to extend and be used as weapons, but that's it. We don't know jack shit.

While on the other hand, that Hell Lord must have received the date about us from the emperor, so he has at least some informations about the us.

And if its about asking demons from hell about informations…. Yea, it won't work.

"NO WITNESS WERE LEFT AFTER HIS HUNT" they said, so yea…. We had barely anything.

Still, we marched non else.

After a while, we left our kingdom territory, so it would be just an matter of time before the emperor and the Hell Lords finds out about it, if they not had already.

Still, the situation was still somewhat calm, for now that is.

With the defeat of the first prince, most of his territory were absorbed back to the Oin empire, but obviously those territories stayed somewhat "Abandoned".

We also did not claimed any of those territories, since we were both exhausted and we were in the hurry.

We had an option of using those abandoned territories, but I doubt that the emperor did not saw that possibility happening, so it would be obvious to assume that he prepared some countermeasures. He could be also observing all our movements without us knowing and could possible move all of his forces IF we were to try to do an attack from the side…. And going around would also give enemy more time and we can't have that. So, we are launching attack head on instead.

Our troops marched and entered the emperor territory…. But we found not even single soldier.

The same thing happened once we ventured forward, still no soldiers.

Well, it does make sense. More slain soldiers equals more undeads.

…. Small investigation confirmed that the prince had moved everybody, ranging from the civilians and soldiers, away from our kingdom borders.

And bit smaller investigation revealed this: All of the empire remaining forces had been gathered in one place.

We haven't found out anything about demons yet, but its obvious that we will encounter them.

Anyway, we continue our march…. We did encounter some traps or sabotages that were left behind, but we were ready for them, at the best these sabotages only slowed us down, but it's not like we lost any soldiers at all or that they were exhausted. We were ready for ambushes and traps in the first place, so those tricks were nothing for us.

Still, they somewhat slowed us down.

Blocked paths. Mine fields. Empty houses that were scavenged from any supplies. Monster baits scattered around, causing monsters to block our paths. They used different tricks to try and stall us or wore us down.

Wore us down they did not, but stalling somewhat worked, well not extremely well since they were not able to stall us for too long.

The march continues…. And finally.

Old bastion of Uik. An bastion where the late emperor took down his mad father and claimed his throne, succeeding in his rebellion.

This is the location that the new emperor Erun and the Hell Lord Ka'guran has chosen for their battle.

"…. So… How is the situation?" – asked ClownFrog in his humanoid form as he gazed at the fortress in the distance.

"Soldiers. A lot of them. We also confirmed the presence of the demonic beasts, including beast such as Cerberus and flying bird demonic beast known as crowraven, an hybrids between crows and ravens…. But they kind of don't look like either and are instead giant demonic beast with four wings and multiple eyes… The name is misleading as fuck." – said Oron as he manifested himself from hiding.

"There are also some other demonic beast among the empire ranks, but mostly those crownravens and cerberuses are the most noteworthy demonic beasts we need to watch out for."

"There maybe some more dangerous demonic beast waiting in hiding, but that is all we could confirmed."

"So, what? Is it like many strong demonic beasts kind of deal?" – asked ClownFrog.

"Yeb. They are somewhat small in numbers, but overall, the demonic beast appear to be strong. I guess the Hell Lord wants to make sure we won't have enough corpse and instead he focused on quality above quantity." – replied Oron

"Still, there does not appear to be any grand rank demon, I guess even Hell Lord couldn't summon an huge number of them in the short amount of time." - said Hera as she stood right next to the ClownFrog.

"However, this is the "Lord of the demonic beast" we are talking about, so I doubt that there are not even an single grand rank demonic beast among their ranks, they are probably hiding somewhere or maybe they are waiting inside the fortress."

"True….. No. Yea, there is 100% chance that we will be dealing with grand rank demons." – said ClownFrog.

"…"

"Hey! Are the siege weapons and war spells ready?!" – asked ClownFrog as he turned around.

"Yeb. They are ready boss." – said the giant goat demon as he and other giant demons were setting up the siege weapons while being monitored and helped by Blueberry.

"The war spells are also ready sir. We can use them at any moment." – said vampire mage.

"Good." – said ClownFrog while transforming into his true form.

"Get into the position."

"Its time to end this once and for all."

"…."

"Heh…. This is interesting." – said the Hell Lord Ka'guran as he used his demonic bird that flew in the air to use its eyes to see the Garog kingdom preparing for the siege while the demon himself sit in the throne room.

"The battle will soon begin. What about our forces?"

"They are ready sir. We summoned the specific demons as you commanded." – replied the demon noble.

"What about the empire forces?" – asked Hell Lord.

"Also, ready. They are somewhat still conflicted with the idea about working with us, but now that the enemy is here, they are more focused on them instead of us." – said the demon noble.

"Hm. Fine." – said the Hell Lord while getting off the throne.

"Lets go. Its time for the hunt to begin!"

The forces of the Garog kingdom had began marching and taking their position outside the fortress, while the forces of the Oin empire had also prepared for the battle.

"…."

"I see the fucker." – said ClownFrog and the Hell Lord as they saw each other from the distance.

"Hey." – said Hell Lord while waving his hand.

"….."

"…."

"Kill them all." – said ClownFrog, before moments later the Garog army began using their siege weapons and war spell began getting fired towards the fortress.

"Huh. So that is how they start it, eh?" – said the Hell Lord as he looked up, spotting several burning boulders and giant necrotic skulls flying towards the walls.

"!"

The Hell Lord tried moving his head suddenly, only to get hit in the side of his face by the crossbow bolt that was fallowed up by the giant explosion created by the bolts, before moments later an series of the siege boulders and war spells came crushing down, hitting the fortress and its barrier wall.

"?!"

"L-lord?!" – shouted the panicking demon noble as he and other soldiers stared in panic.

"…I'm fine." – said the Hell Lord as he used his long four arms to get rid of the smoke, revealing hm still standing.

(Fucker. That actual hurt.) – though the Hell Lord as part of his face alongside one of his eye ended up being melted off.

"…."

"Damn. I shot multy ultimate snipe shot, and he is still standing…. Fucking bastard is like an brick." – said Oron while aiming with his crossbow.

"Welp, it was worth a try at least, wasn't it?" – said Rampage.

"Yea…. And by the look of things this bastard is already regenerating his eye. This will be annoying." – said Oron while using his crossbow scope before getting up.

"He also reacted before the crossbow bolt got near him, I guess he also has some danger sensing skill or something…. I guess assassination is off the table." – said Oron before getting up.

"Huh….. Well, honestly, this just makes things more interesting!" – said Rampage.

"Let me at this fucker!"
