[VRMMO] Dead One

After the death of the emperor, few days have passed.

And as expected, the empire throne was empty.

The emperor have not declared an true successor to his throne and that obviously meant one thing.

The position of the emperor was free.

However, if anybody have any real rights to claim the right for the throne right now would be one of the emperor children's.

The first prince - Apollo Oin.

The second prince - Erun Oin.

The first princess - Amelia Oin.

The third prince - Simon Oin.

Currently there are 4 factions in the empire that each support the different successor.

However, besides those four factions, there is also additional faction that people are scared of.

The terrorist group of adventures that are known as the Purple Hyena.

These terrorist appeared one day and caused unimaginable amount of damage to the empire with their sudden appearance and the armies of the monsters they have been leading.

Nobody knows what they goal is, expect for the fact that they had declared the war against the empire.

Some people believe that it's an revenge for what the first prince and the third prince did before, while some other people believed that they did it all for an different reason.

The terrorist in questions have caused an lot of chaos through the empire, to the point the emperor himself needed to act and reinforced the entire empire.

This act managed to prevent the Purple Hyena from launching any more attacks and to this day there had been no attacks done in the empire territory the attack led by the Purple Hyena.

However, their presence itself had not been shown anywhere in months already. No attacks, but nothing …. Just nothing. As if they had disappeared.

The empire did put an warrant and reward for those who would find the Purple Hyena, but so far nobody had succeed, causing people to get worried.

Well, who wouldn't be worried about the situation? I mean, they will be scared.

Anyway, I will continue explaining the situation according to our spies and the empire people point of view.

So, yea, lets continue.

Even though the empire still isn't aware of us still being inside their … Well, the Bloody Mountains isn't their territory or ever was and now its ours, but anyway, the empire isn't aware of us still being here. Some people think that we are still in the empire, pretty much they are confused and things are chaotic for them. We are kind of playing mind games with them right now after going on the rampage and stuff, only to get silence and don't leave any tracks or sights of activity.

So, yea, they are nervous.

But by the look of things, empire decided to forget about us…. Or more specifically the four factions.

After the days of sorrow ended, the factions instantly started making moves and sometime even later, the first prince made his move.

"I. Apollo Oin. The first born child of the Alexander Oin. I declare that I will become the new emperor of the Oin empire!"

"Join me and share my victory! Or stand as my enemy and be crushed as the traitors!"

The first prince straight up declared that he should be the emperor since he the most rightful

And everybody who stands in his way will be dealt with.

Pretty much, an war was declared and other factions soon fallowed the same thing, straight up declaring wars at each other.

And like that, all four factions have entered the battle royal war.

Yeb… As soon as the emperor died, they just went at it…. Wow. I though they would waited bit longer, since it was their father and one of most respected figures in the empire, but really? I mean really?

…. Welp, the first prince was the one who made the first move, so I think people would point fingers at him at first?

Anyway, currently the empire at the state where its at the war with itself, but not yet exactly.

Even though those factions maybe be led by the four heirs, it doesn't give them an complete excuse to go on rampage throughout the empire, so all four faction had made an pact.

-They won't go to the war from get go in order to give the citizens of the empire time to prepare themselves or join faction.

-If the faction lose X amount of territory and are unable to recovery any for specific amount of time, then the faction will automatically lose. Losing all territory will be declared as instant lose.

-If the faction loses, then the person who finished off the faction and not the only who did most damage to the faction, will be allowed to decide the fate of the loser. Be it capture, banishment or even death.

-Some other smaller rulers.

This was apparently written with the item called [Contract Of Heavily and Hellish Dragon], meaning that the four factions leaders are bound to the rulers and if they don't fallow it, they will die.

I honestly didn't though they would bring out something like that, but hey. They want to rule the empire and not destroy it, so it does make 100% sense for them to use something like that.

So, yea, there will be an four way battle royal where the target is to reduce the amount of territory each faction possess or take everything.

Its not about killing or anything like that, but territory control.

Obviously, we didn't heard anything about assassination, but there is good chance they would do it.

However, some faction may chose peaceful options instead of forceful option. Like recruiting the enemy settlements and their people by peaceful means.

So, yea, there will be different form of battles taking place here and there.

As for us? We obviously started preparing ourselves. We gathered informations and have started also spreading the rumors about the third prince and his illegal actions.

Vampires have been spreading this informations for some time now, so it there should some effects now, but obviously not big enough. We will spread this rumor even more with even some fake actions taking place like 'suspicious individuals who were part of third prince faction were seen kidnaping people'. It technically isn't lie, since they do kidnap people. So, we are spreading the 'truth' and stuff, right?

Anyway, the time went by and the first conflict erupted.

The first battel was quite obvious for many.

The first prince and the second prince.

The first prince launched two attacks against the second prince territory, causing an two sieges to happened at the same time.

Shorty after that, the third prince had launched an surprise attack on the first princess.

The third prince attack was somewhat successful, but it was an trap where the first princess just wanted to have the third prince forces move into her settlement, only to trap them and easily defeat them.

It was an quick defeat on the third prince side that straight up humiliated him and it was only the start, so that kind of hit from get go ended up hurting him quiet badly.

While that was happening, the two attacks launched by the first prince had ended. One of the attacks managed to win, while the other one was repelled. It may seem like an win for the first prince, but his bigger army that was send was the one that got defeated, so yea, it wasn't exactly an win.

Honestly, some of the fights were small, while some others were massive, like the other siege that the first prince failed. It was an long siege that took days.

We were also using this opportunity to gather informations about the factions and their current strength.

The first prince has an biggest army in terms of size, but the second prince have some influentials and strong figures among his ranks.

The first princess have an mix of forces since she is getting an support from multiple kingdoms that decided to lend their troops to the princess. The reason is simple: They want the friendly princess be the empress instead of the other since the third prince and first prince had already showed their greed for conquest while the second prince did nothing. So, they went with most safe option.

As for the third prince, at first, he was getting his ass kicked.

After his first defeat, the first princess launched an counter attack at the third prince territory and even worse, the second prince used her attack as an opportunity to launch his own attack against the third prince.

This attack was too sudden and had caused the third prince to lose two settlements… However, he then quickly took back both settlements.

An brand new army that the third prince had been developing had made their appearance.

Magic knights and tamers as well as new and improved green riders order made their appearance and quickly and easily retake both of the lost settlements.

This wasn't some big army with a lot of weaklings or small army with lot of elites, but just straight up big army of elites.

This… Was sudden.

I mean, the battle didn't started yesterday or anything, but still, that kind of army show off ended up getting a lot of attention from everybody, especially from the first prince faction who had most reaction from the army.

The third prince who was considered the weakest among the four children's and their factions, had now showed off some powerful army nobody was aware of nor anybody expected.

I Rember these tamers and the magic knights…. But something was off.

I mean, this amount of soldiers? And that strong on top of that alongside the army of the tamed monsters? Sorry, but I'm not buying it.

This is 100% related to his illegal human experiments and that guy doesn't care?

I mean, we spread the rumors about his illegal experiments and other stuff he was doing, and even so, he is straight up pulling this unknown move? That would only make him look even more sus!

I guess that bastard doesn't care anymore since the war is happening right now.

But I mean… Really?

Yea, that bastard has definitely some plan. If not him, then his "Friends" would.

But the question is, what?

Well, we plan to crush that bastard ourselves, so we don't want any other factions…. No.

WE WANT TO CRUSH EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THOSE FACTIONS OURSVLES

And fortunately, enough, our preparations will be soon finished.

Meaning, that we will be soon joining this war and we will make the last war the Oin empire will ever have!
