Chapter 327 - 328 – Surprise visit? – Part 4.
After concluding our conversation regarding the ox mans as well as their possible hidden motives, I alone went and met up again with them.
We did consider option of us 6 members going, but it would probably alarm the ox mans too much and make them too nervous. It would maybe help us gather information more, however it could also cause them to lose any trust they have in us and stuff could happened, so for the safer side, only I went for the meeting.
"I'm sorry for any inconvenient that could have happened while staying over." – said ClownFrog.
"N-no! Everything is fine! In fact! What was that weird green liquid you gave us?!" – asked ox man A'gan.
"Oh, you mean beer?"
"its not the traditional one, its one made using the yest, its one using the green yest that is also called underground yest or demon yest."
"Is… Was something wrong with it?"
"No! If anything, it was great!" – spoken up the ox man on the A'gan right.
"If anything, we have never drank anything like that ever!"
"?"
"You mean, you haven't tasted an alcohol, ever?" – asked ClownFrog.
"?"
"What is "Alcohol"?" – asked A'gan.
"…."
(You know, it kind of does make sense that they didn't had any chance to drink alcohol, considering where the hell we are.)
(And by the look of things, all 3 of them got hooked up by the beer? I wonder if we can use it later on or something.)
"…."
"Anyway, can we continue our talk from before?" – asked ClownFrog.
"?!"
"Y-yes! Sure!" – said bit embarrassed A'gan.
"Regarding the hunt of the metal gorillas, we can consider your offer to hunt them down in exchanged for the information regarding their real base."
"However, before we can agree, I need to ask few more questions and please answer them truthfully."
"First question. Is there only 1 "Ruler" in here, the [Bloody Mountains]? Or are there multiple?"
"Em… So far, we know about only 2…I don't know if there is more of them." – said A'gan.
"Okay… Next question."
"By any chance, the "Ruler" who is trying to take control over you, is in reality your enemy because you serv different "Ruler"?"
"N-no. We don't serv any rules."
"Do you have any form of religions? Like you have a god you worship?"
"No… We do not have."
"…."
"Okay, then what about this question."
"Do you fear dragons?"
"?!"
Ox man's reaction upon hearing ClownFrog question ended up visible shaking them up.
"…"
"[Summon: Fire Draga]."
ClownFrog summoned a magic circle, before moments later the summoned dragon monster of the size of the bear alongside the pair of wings.
"?!"
The ox man's backed away in fear upon seeing the creature.
"So, you do fear dragons, eh?"
"Don't worry."
"This little guy here is my summon that was created using my mana."
"So…."
"I'm not servant of anybody."
"Not of empire, nor one of those so called "Rulers"."
"You can have my word that I'm not a servant."
"However, if you want me to trust you and vice versa, I need the whole picture."
"Why do you fear the dragons? By any chance, the "Ruler" that is attacking you a dragon?"
"…"
"Y-yes…"
"Do you know how it looks?"
"N-no…. M-man of ours warriors that saw it were found dead and only few that survived managed to describe the creature."
"A dragon creature that also resembles a black bird."
"?"
"Black bird? You sure they- "
"No!"
"They saw a dragon! The monster had black feathers growing from its entire body as well as scales, but it was a dragon! It even once burned to ashes a group of monsters with black flames."
"I've… I've seen its siluet once…. We even have some of its feathers and scales as proof."
"…."
"Fine. Let's say I believe you."
"Now, regarding those metal gorillas, if you do provide us with information regarding their hideouts, we will kill them."
"!"
"The- "
"HOWEVER!"
"There are still many unknowns about you all."
"With everything you said so far could be a possible lie to lower my guard and gain my trust."
"You should be aware of that.
"?!" – the ox man's faces were full of shock upon hearing that.
"So, how about this."
"We will exterminate the metal gorillas and you want us to do it, ALONE? Right?" – asked ClownFrog.
"Y-yes. We cannot provide you- "
"We want hostages."
"…What?"
"I say, we want hostages."
"We won't kill them or anything, we don't even need warriors and have them only be able to guide us, however in case you are really deceiving us, they will pay the price."
"Some of your warriors will guide us to their layers and we will protect them."
"However, if it by any chance turns out that everything was a lie and we spot even single ox man that isn't the hostage near us when we are attacking the metal gorillas homes, the hostages will be killed"
"We have means of finding you out, no matter how well you are hiding, so I'm warning you, betray us and our trust, and you will be all annihilated."
"…."
"Fine."
"?!"
"What?! Why?!" – asked the other ox man.
"Shut up!" – said A'gan.
"…."
"However…. Can you even- "
"Kill the metal gorillas?" – said ClownFrog.
"Oh please, if I wanted to, I could use my own power to summon an entire army of undeads, demons, dragons and elements."
"And even without them, I can straight up demolish everything in my path."
"And I want to show you something."
"?"
The trio of ox man's fallowed ClownFrog outside where he summoned Zod.
"?!"
"W-what?!" – said shocked Ox man.
"Dragon?!" – said A'gan.
"I killed that guy myself and even turned him into my servant."
"And if you don't trust my own power or power of my servants, you can test us out."
"…."
Ox mans expressions were filled with fear upon realizing that the ClownFrog wasn't lying at all.
"So, do we have the deal?"
"…."
"I need to talk with our leader about this."
The ox man's left our base and Oron suggested that we should tail them, so I had agreed to his proposal.
Neither me or the others truly trust them yet, so Oron fallowed them.
In terms of sneaking, gathering informations as well as assassinations, Oron is the best guy for the job.
Oron managed to stay undented through the entire thing and managed to find the ox man village.
It was pretty big village and it was located quiet far away from our base.
Thie base was extremely well hidden and defend to the point Oron didn't risked going in, considering the possibility that they may have some sort of alarm or something that may detect him.
As for the ox man's themselves? They came back and agreed to our deal.
They have brough several warriors that would guide us to the metal gorillas real base.
After we had accepted the hostages guides to us, they began explaining where exactly metal gorillas bases are and as it turns out, there are 3 bases.
And each of those bases has the metal gorilla king and queen in it that leads each base and with the base in the east being their main base with most influence and forces.
The ox man's had led us straight to one of their base and by the look of things, they weren't lying.
Not only that, but according to Oron and other scouts, there was not even a single ox man nearby, not even ones using stealth or any skills related to hiding.
The ox man's hostages did not tried anything funny as well…. Well, the things may end up revealing themselves once we launch our first attack.
The attack force consisted of me and mostly the lowest level players of our guild who needed to level up.
And the rest? Well, we still didn't exactly trusted the ox man's yet, since it still could be a trap, so Oron and GreyHunt are looking around, while the remaining members remained at home to defend our base, since there was a possibility of the huge attack happening while I and the others are out.
And as planned, we raided the first base and from the get go we all could tell that place was straight up dungeon filled to the brim with monsters.
Heck, none of the settlements above ruled by them had that kind of number of metal gorillas.
Not only that, but there was many high ranking gorillas variants in the mix, including multiple metal gorilla chieftains.
This place was also huge and stuff…... By the look of things informations provided by the ox man's were real?
-Underground base.
-Massive base.
-Huge number of the metal gorillas.
-A huge number of the stronger variants.
-Possibly the main base of metal gorillas that they use to operate.
Everything checks out by the look of things?
….
Its still too early to judge.
Scouts have yet to report anything as well as the base, but all of it could change at any moment.
There is also the thing regarding metal gorillas attack. Will they really settle down if we destroy all 3 bases?
Well, only time will tell.
And the time will also tell if those ox man's are really our "Friends" or our "Enemies".
