[VRMMO] Dead One

After talking with ox mans about the reason for their visit and finding out what do they want, I asked them if we can have bit of time before we can properly answer them.

They agreed and instantly me and the other core members of the guild quickly held a meeting regarding that whole surprise visit.

"Hm…... Shit." – said Oron.

"So, there is some sort of big monster, who is probably a raid boss or maybe unique boss, if not combination of both, that is going around and trying to recruit monsters or enslave them against their will."

"In order words, we maybe be facing some big monster sooner or later."

"But is that whole story true though?" – asked Shri.

"What if it's like ClownFrog suspected? With that whole story being fake and those ox man's already being slaves to that so called "Ruler"?"

"They don't really need to be working for that "Ruler"." – said GreyHunt.

"What if there are multiple "Ruler" here? For example, ox man's could be possible working for the different "Ruler" and they want to use us as their weapon?"

"Yea, I had also thought of that possibility." – said ClownFrog.

"But then again, we are lacking in terms of informations."

"And those guys have been living here for much longer than us."

"Meaning, they have advantage in terms of all sorts of informations."

"But… We are pretty much attacked every single day." – said Oron.

"We had looked, spotted and destroyed their bases, but those metal gorillas are keep coming."

"If what they said are true about real and fake bases, then it would explain how they keep having forces to fight back."

"But what if the metal gorillas just have a giant army and no hidden bases?" – asked Rampage.

"What if the whole set up is really a trap?"

"Yes, it is possible." – said Oron.

"However, the fact remains that the metal gorillas who are attacking us nonstop are straight up halting our base expansion."

"We do have other monsters attacking us as well. Probably just wild monsters or monster that feels threaten by our presence, but the metal gorillas are coming after us pretty much all the time unlike them."

"So, let's say that the ox man's story is real? Then would that make sense that we are the "Ruler" current target? What if he testing us and stuff?"

"And if ox mans are telling the truth and everything, then we may be possible make alliance with them if not straight up recruit them."

"They have been living here for much longer than us, meaning that they are definitely powerful."

"Not only that, but remember, us 6 have a lot of titles that boost our favorability with monsters, especially the demi-human ones."

"So, we had some advantage."

"Yea, but it's still extremely suspicious." – said GreyHunt.

"Don't take me wrong Oron, but even with titles, that doesn't make every single monster friends with us."

"Take those Maniae monsters for example. They are humanoid monsters, but they are nothing more than mindless monsters, beasts."

"Titles can boost our favorability and make things easier for us to make connections as well as strengthen them, but we first need to those connection, those relationships."

"However, what if they are already hostile to us and stuff? Would our titles do anything like that?"

"Not only that, there is also the fact that those guys appeared out of nowhere with informations we needed, the "Exact Informations We Needed" to deal with those metal gorillas."

"Like ClownFrog said, there are too many unknows about them, so we can't really tell if they are being honest or truthful with us."

"Heck."

"That entire story with "Ruler" could be also made up and those metal gorillas are just about blind revenge that straight up matters to them more than their own extinction."

"Those metal gorillas are savage beasts that just charge at us and can only do basic teamwork, but kind of teamwork that any animal monster can do."

"I agree with GreyHunt. I don't trust those ox man's." – said Rampage.

"Same here." – said Shri.

"How about the next time we encounter them, we would use Oron and GreyHunt to tale them, possible exposing their homes and maybe possible confirming some stuff about them? Like."

"Do they worship some "God" that could be one of those "Rulers"?"

"Or maybe the possibility of both of these monsters really working together?"

"Well, currently all 3 of those ox mans are staying in our base as "Guest" and apparently, they had informed their home before leaving that they could be gone for quite a bit." – said ClownFrog.

"If in the end we will end up not trusting them, we could send Oron and GreyHunt to tail them and possible confirm their base as well as possible lies or hidden motives they don't want us to know about."

"However…. Now that I think about, all 3 of them were quite nervous."

"Especially the guy leading them, he was extremely nervous."

"Well, they were in the middle of the unknown base that appeared here recently and they were surrounded by all sort of monsters, ranging from weak to very powerful." – said Shri.

"And they were speaking with our "King" over there, so who the fuck wouldn't be nervous while talking with you?"

"Yea… You are a giant skeleton dragon lich guy and you do have scary appearance." – said Blueberry.

"True." – said everybody, beside ClownFrog.

"…."

"Okay."

"I admit I look quite scary and stuff, but I'm talking about different type of scare."

"Like, as soon as they saw me, their expressions changed, like they saw a ghost or something."

"They got all nervous and stuff as well."

"My appearance is bizarre and stuff to many, but their reaction…. It was more like fear?"

"?"

"Like, they didn't expected you to be a giant walking talking dragon lich?" – said Shri.

"Yea… Kind of like that… But well… I don't know how to describe it?"

"…."

"!"

"Dragon!" – said Blueberry suddenly.

"?"

"What?" – asked Shri.

"Our boss, he looks more like a dragon, right?"

"It's hard to tell if that guy is lich or not, so the only possibility I can think of is a dragon!"

"These guys got scared of our boss as soon as they realized he is member of the dragonic race!"

"!"

"Wait, so you are saying, they got all scared and nervous, all because they realized he was a member of dragonic race?" – asked GreyHunt.

"Yea!" – replied Blueberry.

"And if what I'm saying is correct, the next question would be: Why? Why are they scared of dragons?"

"…."

"Maybe…. Maybe the so called "Ruler" they may be serving or the "Ruler" that is trying to enslave them is also a dragon?" – said Rampage.

"!?" – everybody looked shocked upon hearing that.

"…."

"But can we be sure of that?" – asked GreyHunt.

"Simple, we will just ask them for the description of the "Ruler"." – said Blueberry.

"If they would try to avoid making any remarks regarding their appearance or maybe race, then we maybe confirm the possibility of the ruler being dragon or not."

"But again, we don't even know if those "Ruler" is real and if there is more than 1 "Ruler" out there." – said GreyHunt.

"If they were really scared of our boss appearance because of the fact that he is member of the dragonoid race, it could also indicate that there are is just one or more wild dragon monsters out there that straight up scares and threatens the ox mans."

"Remember, dragonoid aren't really that extremely rare species. There are quiet few lot of different dragon monsters you can find, like the land dragon who is sometimes used to drag caravans or used for farming instead of horse."

"So, there is an option that the dragon is a dragon "Dragon" or maybe just some weaker species of the dragons."

"But then again, why would they fear so much?" – asked Blueberry.

"There is a high chance that the dragon is involved and could be related to that "Ruler" if not "Rules"."

"These guys lived here for way longer than us and hold way more informations than us."

"We need to get informations from these guys, ANY informations they may possess."

"So, lets trust them, but also not trust them for now and see how it goes."

"But no matter what, we need to look into them and find out anything noteworthy."

"Any small detail and stuff."

"We need to squish out anything from them and find out if those guys are really our enemies or allies."

"And depending on how things goes, we will either gain powerful allies, or we will go to the war with them."
