[VRMMO] Dead One

Chapter 263 - 264 – Exploration and base upgrade.

[Metal Gorilla]

"Damn! These guys straight up don't know when to give up!" – said Oron while shooting nonstop at the monsters running towards him.

"Then just fuking kill them all!" – shouted Rampage while tearing one of the metal gorillas in two.

The group of the members consisting of Rampage, Oron, ClownFrog, Wretch, Howl, Swim, Cave, Apple Juice, Wild Chaser and Litle Maniac were currently exploring the area around their base while also killing any monsters they encountered.

"…. Okay. This was the last one." – said Cave while removing his axe from the metal gorilla neck.

"Those fuking gorillas really are desperate, huh? The more we expanded our base, the more attacks made by these fuckers we had!" – said priest kobold player named Apple Juice.

"Well, this place was originally their home." – said Oron.

"We just straight up stole their home and everything, so it's no surprise there that we are getting attacked by them."

"Still… Its bit confusing."

"Why is there still so many of those gorillas? Are there other settlements?"

"Hm…. Yea. It would explain why we keep seeing those god dammed monkeys nonstop!" – said annoyed Wretch.

"Anyway, we are going to look around our base, yes? But how much?"

"Well, it depends." – said ClownFrog.

"Those monsters attacks are annoying, but we also profit from them and our forces level up."

"But we cannot do that all the time."

"We should deal with those rampaging metal gorillas before they do an real damage that will straight up hinder our plans."

"Not only that, but also need to deal with any monsters near our base in order to expand it over ground."

"Thanks to the necromancer cemetery, demon gate, golem factory, puppet factory and toy factory, we are able to recruit or make more works. We no longer need any slaves."

"However, workers and fighters are two different things. We do have some golems and undead that can do both, but our monsters army fighting force isn't the best right now for these opponents."

"We may have reinforced our base and have proper walls and everything, but it's not enough."

"We have to deal with the nuisance so we can expand our base even further and give it even more upgrades."

"Well…. This seem like annoying job… But I'm not complaining." – said Howl.

"I'm leveling up quite fast thanks to those gorillas."

"Yea. At first it was extremely hard, but now… Well, its still hard, but at least us, the normal members can somewhat kill the few if we work together." – said Swim.

"Especially the Blueberry craft… They are OP!"

"Nope." – said Oron.

"The ones you are wearing are not the costume made equipment. They are mass produced ones."

"Wait, they are?! But their stats are so high!" – said Swim.

"Well, Blueberry is talented… As soon as she started playing the game she was more interested in crafting than fighting." – said Rampage.

"Well, even though the armors they are wearing are mass produced types, they are still good. I'm honestly more surprised that she even had time to make these costume made armors for us even though she is now extremely busy each day." – said Oron.

"Its because of the tournament." – said ClownFrog.

"Each of the core member of the guild is going to participate."

"Not only that, even though Blueberry herself is locked in the base, she is still training and testing out her new weapons. She also leveling up herself in steady rate while also hunting monsters in meanwhile."

"She is still one of the strongest members of our guild and I honestly can say that if any of you try fighting her, even together, she would have wiped you out."

"Don't you remember how she straight up demolished part of the fortress city that was under control of the empire?"

"…."

(Still, I got to say. Blueberry made this special equipment quiet well.)

[Dead Bastion– Armor Set]

[Equipment: Chest, arms, legs, belt, feets, shoulders.]

[Rarity: Epic]

[Armor: +20 000]

[+1500 Mana.]

[Increase all undead stats under your control by 10%]

[Increase vitality of all undeads under your control by 5%]

[Armor set effect: For each extra piece of [Dead Bastion] armor set, increase the max limit of the undead that can be created or summoned from skills by 1% with 5% being max limit. Only affect undead related skills and the specific necromancer classes skills.]

[A special made armor by the genius craftsman.]

[The equipment itself wasn't made with the suitable materials for the necromancy, but with special modification as well as changes, the armor ended up being turned into a suitable armor meant for the necromancer.]

[Dead Bastion Baron]

[Rarity: Epic]

[Attack: 1000-1200]

[+2500 Mana]

[Increase vitality of all undeads under your control by 20%]

[Increase the undead summoning and making procedure by 5%]

[A necromancer staff that can also function as a battle axe.]

[A heavy weapon made by the talented craftsman, however for those who have enough strength and power of the dead are able to unleash the weapon full might.]

(Honestly, we didn't got good enough materials for the necromancer armor or weapons, but still, they are quite solid and strong.)

(Especially the defense effect and armor, now I'm way harder to kill. Those metal gorillas materials were indeed quite useful.)

(Not only that, but Blueberry managed to attach two options that I wanted.)

[Increase the undead summoning and making procedure by 10%]

[Armor set effect: For each extra piece of [Dead Bastion] armor set, increase the max limit of the undead that can be created or summoned from skills by 1% with 5% being max limit. Only affect undead related skills and the specific necromancer classes skills.]

(I really needed both of those effects.)

(Having ability to summon undeads 5% faster allows me to call my army much faster.)

(Still…. It would have been nice if we secured more mana related materials, since I then could probably get unique rarity armor made by Blueberry.)

(My armor and the weapon is the worst among the costume made equipment, since we didn't had any proper materials at hand…. Oh well. I can still use my flag and the mask alongside this equipment, so I'm still quite well geared.)

(Not only that, Blueberry have been experimenting with special equipment made for wings and tail.)

(I'm honestly curios about those, but does she have enough time?)

"…."

"Anyway, on the mission."

"Deal with any monsters that are near our base while also securing territory."

"And make sure to watch out for any interesting monsters we can possible tame or make alliance with."

"Move out."

After the short stop we made after dealing with those metal gorillas, we continue exploring the area around base.

We encounter a lot of those gorilla monsters, but we had also encounter different type of monsters.

For example, the Mad Moth, a giant moth monster that could fire poison electro balls that straight up hit everything when they exploded, no matter if you blocked or put barrier, you still got hit. They were quite interesting. Shri uses insect monsters so we informed her about those monsters and she seemed quiet interested in those.

She said she wanted to tame some maybe in the future.

Shri specially are tamed monsters and her [Taming Mastery] is extremely high. She is wielding several boss type monsters with ease as well as multiple high elite monsters.

Btw. For somebody wondering, yes. We can tame monsters and turn them into an army of our own. It is indeed possible and there were example of the kingdoms or monster tribes having their own tamed monsters like the domestic animals or as companions in battle.

I'm not exactly talking about taming.

Taming with skills and taming them as while is whole different things.

We can tame monsters and them put them in the [Monster Ranch], but there are several problems with that.

First problem is that we don't have that building yet.

Secondly, the building need to be costume made for the specific monster inside.

Third, the monsters need to be taken care of or have means of taking care of themselves, like for example have them have their own hunting ground or provide them with food.

The [Monster Ranch] can work without tamer if we do some more specific things, but the monsters there have way more freedom, meaning that they could cause the destruction on their own and those gorilla? Yea they would straight up wreck everything since we won't have the direct control like the tamer.

We could also tame those monsters or befriend them without special buildings, but A: how the hell we will make alliance with the savage and mindless monsters like metal gorillas for example and B: How we would be able to make our bidding?

Honestly, we were hoping to find some intelligent monster that we can befriend or have them work for us, for example by having them join our group and maybe form a city.

However, those less intelligent monsters and wilder can be still used, IF we have enough resources and space for them as well as enough time for it all.

But obviously that isn't an easy task, since monsters aren't some house pets or cows or horse. If they were than every single kingdom out there would have an army of the monsters of their own.

Well, the expedition is the empire. They have a lot of tamed monsters under their control and we saw them during the war like those monster horse, gryphons or walking dragons. They were not some random weak monsters at all, but strong ones.

We honestly would like to do something like that ourselves, but again: Resources, space and time.

Its impossible for us to make an army of the tamed monsters.

We don't have enough of anything, especially the resources that we could use to feed the monsters.

So right now, that plan is impossible.

All we could do is to make a small [Monster Ranch] and that its. Nothing grand or anything like that unfortunately.

There is also the problem that this is the "Great Danger Zone", meaning that the monsters here are not exactly pushovers and starting something like giaganting farm isn't easy. We have an underground farm, but its not big enough or anything special.

So, yea…. We like to more specialize in the mass produced monsters and nonliving monsters like undeads, golems, puppets, toys or recruit demons.

Anyway, we continue our exploring and we kind of encounter quiet…. Interesting but annoying enemy?

The snake mans for example. Its name is Manasa.

They are have appearance similar to the nagas, but not quite.

They don't have human part but instead four claw like arms with extremely long nails.

They are strong, agile, poisons and tough. They are straight up mini bosses.

Damn… They would have been FUKING perfect if we had tamed them…. But oh well. We can use them in different way.

I can either turn those powerful monsters into undeads OR we throw their bodies into the necromancer cemetery and use it to turn them into undead.

But obviously there are problems by doing it like this.

The first is the obvious fact of undead become way weaker than the living counter part as well as the fact that the energy is needed and some other smaller problems.

So, turning them undead that way would be bit wasteful…... So, I turned them into my undeads instead.

They turned out pretty useful for dealing with the monsters…. I think I will keep them for a longer time later on.

Anyway, as our base was continue making improved and expanding while upgrading itself, our group ended up clearing a lot of area around ourselves…. Well, that lasted many fuking hours though.

Me, Oron and Rampage maybe monsters, but for crying out loud, the monsters here are monsters "Monsters".

So even with big army of the undeads with me and some elite undead monsters, it did took us a lot of time.

Not only that, our efforts were getting…. Slowed down.

More and more monsters started attacking us. Especially those metal gorillas.

Not only that, but more of those elite metal gorillas variants were also starting to show themselves.

Oron theory is probably correct.

There was more than one of those metal gorillas settlements in this area and until we deal with them all, they won't stop.

This will…. Take a long fuking time.

Still, I cannot say its not all that bad.

The members of the guild took parts in being part of the expedition team, switching out members so everybody could use this opportunity to level up.

I also took break in between since I sometimes was needed in the base in order to use my monsters to help out in work.

Our guild members were leveling up at steady rate and its good.

After hitting level 400, our leveling up speed ended up again slowing down, but now that we have our base in one of the great danger zones, we are now able to speed out our leveling speed by a lot.

Things are going well in many different ways.

However, it wasn't all.

A lot of time had passed and many players are already saying that they will participate in the upcoming tournament.

That includes the many top renown players.

AND the Scarlet Gryphons as well as the Red Lions also announcement their participation. I will want to crush them myself if possible.

Many Esport players who are still hiding will also join in alongside many players that wants to use this even for their own gain, be it money or fame.

And one person that interested me was this.

Paintjob.

She had reappeared after the sudden and unknown long silence.

She just reappeared; said she is joining tournament. Just like that.

This was quite unexpected to many people, but many people are now looking forward to the tournament.

Many players, including many monsters like ourselves will participate in that tournament.

The time has yet to come for the first part of the event to start, but many people are already preparing for it.

We maybe focused on strengthening our base, but each and every one of us are also making sure to grow stronger.

And when we will join that tournament, we will make sure that there will be a bloodbath everywhere.
