[VRMMO] Dead One

"Guild master." – said the man in white and scarlet armor.

"Yes?"

"The last undead of the undead have been dealt with."

"Not only that, it seems that the undeads were carrying the stolen goods as we suspected."

"And the Purple Hyena guild members?" – asked Hawk.

"Not present sir."

"They weren't encounter or spotted or anything."

"Hm… Okay."

"Continue searching the area. There must have been reason why these undeads were hiding here. We may discover something."

"Yes sir!"

The guild members continue looking around the area while the guild master himself walked away from his guild members.

The guild master took out a hand mirror from his inventory before twisting a gem that was located on top of it.

"Connect. Connect…. Are you, their prince?"

"Yes." – replied the second prince with his image appearing on the mirror.

"I have the report regarding the situation."

"We had tracked down the undead army and had dealt with it."

"They were hiding in the forest and again, the settlements they had destroyed were completed looted."

"We found the undead that were hiding in the forest with all the stolen loot. By the look of things, they tried to make a temporarily spot before then running away."

"By the look of things, they were heading north."

"It seems that undead were waiting for the right moment to move away and they were also ready to move at any time as well."

"We managed to get them before they escaped."

"We recovered all the stolen loot…. BUT we didn't saw any members of the Purple Hyena guild, nor did we saw any demons or any other monsters. Only undeads."

"And, we had also confirmed one of your theories."

"Berienno fought ClownFrog and ended up losing one sidedly, but ClownFrog used a dragon skill."

"He is indeed the dragonewt as you suspected."

[Many days before.]

"So, you are saying that ClownFrog was an unliving lizardman, but then his appearance changed? He grew taller and had wings?" – asked the second prince.

"Yes."

"But his current appearance had changed yet again."

"He claimed to be ClownFrog and he used some of the most well known monsters that works for the ClownFrog, so we believe its him."

"However, … He looked nothing alike to his previous appearance."

"He looked more beastly and has grown double in size."

"Hm…. I think he maybe a dragonewt." – said the second prince.

"Dragonewt are related to lizardmans and some of them can ascend to became dragonewts by via ritual for example."

"Dragonewt are the dragonic being, meaning that they can use dragonic mana called dragon glory."

"!"

"Yeb. The same power you can wield Hawk."

"As for his new form… This is even unknown to me."

"I have some theories, but his appearance is still…. Mysterious. He is something new."

[Back to the present.]

"So, your right hand man fought the necromancer and confirmed that he indeed the dragonewt."

"However, according to the information they had obtained regarding his appearance… Its still too bizarre…"

"… Not only that, I know your right hand man power and yet he straight up ended up getting beaten one sided like that…. That necromancer is far more dangerous that we had anticipated."

'Sigh'

"This is annoying."

"Inspect the area and the forest they were hiding in, maybe you will find some clues."

"Understood?"

"Yes sir."

"Well then, good luck." – said the prince before turning off the mirror on his end.

(ClownFrog… That bastard is way more problematic than I though.) – though Hawk.

(I though he was all about the summons…. But I saw the damage he did with few of his attacks in the city.)

(Not only that, not only his appearance changed, but his army of the undead had grown a lot in size.)

(He could even summon elementals and everything as well. There are also demons in play.)

(It is even possible for a single player to control that many monsters?)

(What is he? A lich?)

(Wait… Lich?)

(Hm…. I fought lich once…. But ClownFrog appearance dose not resembles the lich form at all.)

(But… What if his form is some sort of variant of the lich? It would somewhat explain how his army suddenly got so big.)

(…. I need to look into this.)

The news about the undeads going on the rampage and destroying the Ocelot city had spread around the empire.

This grim news straight up hit people spirts by a lot.

The terrorist group have been appearing in random places through the empire and destroying everything they had encountered.

This in turn ended up forcing each mayor settlement to boost their defenses, since nobody yet knows where they would attack next.

The settlements now need to do it in order to calm down the masses.

However, this is obviously not cheap.

Having many settlements boost their defenses does indeed cost and since nobody knows who will get attacked or where the Purple Hyena guild is hiding their base means that every settlement need to boost their defenses.

And again, it's not cheap.

A lot of money will be spend in order to do that, but this in turn will weaken many settlements in the end.

Why?

Well, Purple Hyena guild is right now focused on hiding, meaning that all those hired new guards and soldiers who need to be paid non stop will be not even used right now.

So, the settlements defenses will get weaken, since they would have way less money to spend.

And what if Purple Hyena does attack? Wouldn't they need to spend any extra cash they have to hire more forces? And this is where the problem lies obviously.

Not only that, taxes in the territories would get obviously increased since they would need to hire more soldiers.

But that in turn would upset people.

If they don't increase the security, the people will get scared.

But if they raise taxes to hire more forces, then people will get upset.

An annoying event that will affect the people either way.

Its unknown how long Purple Hyena guild will stay hidden or when they would be forced to reveal themselves with another attack, but for now everything is kind of working out in their favor.

As for the culprits in question? They are hiding in their base right now.

".... Is it working?" - asked ClownFrog.

"Yea. The cemetery has been upgraded usefully." - said Blueberry.

"The quantity and quality has both been improved and the undead can be created but faster."

"It still need a lot upgrades, but it should be able to create small and weak army."

"What about the demon gate?"

"It is operational, but we need to do something about living quarters since demons are living creatures."

"As for the golems, puppets and toys, it is going fairy well, but their production buildings also need upgrades."

"Right now we should be able to create an weak army, but we need to expand our base even further."

"..."

"It will take time, but we are making solid progress right now." - said ClownFrog.

"Anyway, any news about the vampire girls?"

"Well, they are doing fairly okay, but right now they are still unfit for the war."

"They need time and a lot of it."

"As for their wellbeing?"

"They are healthy. Vampire race regeneration ability is helping them out as well when they are tired after training or beaten up."

"However, according to Rampage and O'a, the leader of these girls, Bella, is currently the strongest among them."

(Bella, huh?) - though ClownFrog.

(She is that purple haired girl.)

(She may be blinded by revenge a bit, but she is both an good leader and intelligent person.)

(It's honestly interesting how she who was once an common village girl is now leader of her own group.)

(She will turn into somebody interesting in the future by the look of things.)

(Speaking of the vampire girls... Should we attack another black market association with third prince faction?)

(We could rescue more of the enslaved people that would want to exact their revenge on empiric family.)

(But where would we find it?)

(I know one location that was run by that black merchant that the girls killed, but there is a solid chance that place was cleared, since the boss of the auction house is dead.)

(We can try and go there.... But that would alarm the third prince faction and make them aware of the fact that we are targeting them.)

(I can't even ask the girls for the info, since they were gagged, blindfolded and all other stuff so they wouldn't know anything.)

(I had talked with the girls regarding the issue of attacking the illegal slave markets and they said that its annoying, but understand the problem.)

(If the enemy finds out that our goal is to recruit the illegal slaves, they may instead hold them hostages against us…. And this is annoying since we want them to be recruited ALIVE.)

"Please continue working on the monster production factories… But please take a break in between as well as try to focus on building your strength as well."

"Sorry if I'm asking too much, but- "

"Don't worry boss." – said Blueberry.

"But honestly speaking, shouldn't we- "

"Please wait a moment Blueberry." – said ClownFrog suddenly after noticing Oron entering the room.

"What is it, Oron?"

"It's regarding the expedition."

"We all are ready and we are waiting only for you to show up."

"OH SHIT!"

"I completely forgotten about the expedition."

"Sorry Blueberry, but I need to go now. See you later!" – said ClownFrog before running off with Oron.

"Em… Bye?" – said Blueberry that was left behind.

"Sorry Oron. I straight up was- "

"No problem, dude. Everybody knows you been busy non stop recently." – said Oron.

"Anyway, did you got the new equipment from Blueberry already?"

"Yea."

"This costume made armor and weapon makes a huge difference."

"I got to say, her Blueberry talent for crafting is quiet terrifying and she is keep getting better and better."

"Anyway, lets meet up with others already."

ClownFrog and Oron left the underground base and meet up with group on the surface.

"Sorry!" – said ClownFrog as soon as he meet up with the group.

"You are late." – said Rampage.

"Don't be harsh on him Rampage. ClownFrog was busy with his work and everything." – said Oron.

"Anyway, how are the things on your end?"

"Good." – said GreyHunt.

"We are ready to move out at any moment."

"Then let's move out immediately. Its better if we do this before the night falls."
