[VRMMO] Dead One

Honestly, after that encounter with those 2 new corpsless variants, the fight inside the dungeon became much harder.

We were encounter more and more enemies AND the size of this place was completely unimaginable.

I and Rampage were managing, but the army of the monsters were keep fighting us nonstop.

Not only that, there were also some weird zombies or even more variants of those corpless.

We had also had to deal with those necromancers and vampires.

Honestly, Rampage had been sustaining some real injuries for some time now, but thanks to her items, classes and the vampiric race benefits, she was healing over time pretty well, but we sometimes needed to rest a bit.

This dungeon difficulty is way higher than we expected.

We maybe strong like hell, but still, we are starting to struggle a bit.

Honestly, I don't think brining these guys from outside would be any good. With those horde of enemies, the best counter is AOE attacks or a horde of monster of our own.

Truth to be told, the lack of numbers on our side is damaging us more than we though.

I may have my explosives and some of the special weapons I made as well as Rampage to hold off the enemies, but there are 2 main problems.

The first is that the Rampage cannot occupy all the enemies.

And the second problem is my ammunition.

We don't know how big is this place and since we are only two in the party.

I have weapons that doesn't use ammunition like my chains, but in current situation stuff like my explosives are very necessary.

We have already maybe spend between 1 to 2 hours in here, but we are still nowhere near the end!

Even the minotaurs that made their dungeon didn't made a very big dungeon, but this place? There is no way they made it recently!

I bet the demon lord and the boss would like to hear the info about this place, since it will definitely help them in their investigation.

Not only that, I can literally smell the rewards for beating this place! Not only the dungeon rewards, but the demon lord reward points!

I'm honestly very excited with the [Toy Maker] class, since the [Golem Maker] is way better that I though and I have so much fun with! I wonder what will [Doll Maker] be like? Also, I really want to start trying out making toy monsters.

Ah.

Anyway, we continue making our way through this massive dungeon, dealing with the enemies over and over again.

I think we had already killed a small army of those bastards…. Jezus… This is never fuking ending!

Just how big is this-

"Hey, Blueberry. I found a weird door here." – said Rampage.

"…"

"Is this another trap? Like the one before where that 10 meters tall corpless would pop out from?" – asked Blueberry with tired look.

"…"

"Em…I already opened it…?" – said Rampage.

"…"

Moments later a giant corpless monster walked out of the room and began fighting the with both Rampage and Blueberry.

After a bit of struggle, the monster was killed.

"For fuck's sake… Just how big is this place?"

"Honestly, I'm more confused about their army in this place." – said Blueberry.

"I mean, we literally killed countless of those monsters, but those fanatics never used any of them to launch attacks?"

"Hm… Maybe it's not like they wouldn't but more like they couldn't?" – said Rampage.

"I mean, what if they needed this army of monster just to protect this place?"

"Hm… Yea… That would make some sense…But what would be so important to protect this place?" – said Blueberry.

"I mean, we didn't took a proper look, but when we walked around, we saw tools and some other stuff related to the monsters' creations. We even saw the facilities related to the golems and even fought a few."

"But it still doesn't make sense."

"It looked like they only focused on making "Enough monsters to protect this place."."

"I honestly don't think this is the place that produced the corpless that are used by the fanatics outside and where the others are dealing with them. The agents would have noticed the corpless coming from here and would pin point this location way sooner."

"Hm? Wait, then if this isn't the place responsible for creating the corpless outside, then what is the deal with this place? Isn't this place where they produce monsters?" – asked Rampage.

"Yea… But I think their goal is maybe research? You saw those weird monsters and experiments as well as mutated monsters?" – said Blueberry.

"…. They are trying to archive something here… We need to stop them now."

"Yea, yea. But how long it will take for us to- "

Rampage opened another door while talking the Blueberry, however as soon as she opened a door, she quickly put up her shield as a wave of bone arrows were send flying her way.

"!"

"Rampage!"

"I'm okay!"

"So… You are the intruders that attacked my master laboratory?" – asked the echoing voice.

"!"

Suddenly, both of the doors that Rampage just opened were blown away as Rampage put up her shield skill in order to block the unknown explosion tried to hit her.

"…"

"Well… I think we found the owner." – said Rampage.

The giant floating skeleton surrounded by chains was flying right in the middle of the room that Rampage just opened.

(A skeleton mage?) – though Rampage.

"Hey. Are you one of those so called liches?" – asked Rampage.

"So what if I'm one of them?" – asked the lich.

"You know you will die now."

Suddenly, many magic circles began appearing all across the room the lich was as well as behind the behind Blueberry in the hallway.

From these magic circles, many undead monsters began appearing left and right.

However, these undead weren't the usual necromancer undeads, they were instead some sort of abominations, an monsters made out of corpses fused together.

Some monsters were combination of two humans while other were a combination of a bird monster with an ant head.

"!"

(What are those things?) – though Blueberry.

(We fought some weird undeads… But these things are completely different!)

(They look like some sort of chimeras between different species?)

(No. This isn't the most important fact.)

(This guy is a lich! A mage that specializes in necromancy like the boss.)

(Not only that, he is a unique boss, so he isn't some nobody.)

"…"

"Rampage."

"Murder through them."

"!"

"On it!" – said Rampage with a smile.

"[Cruel Way] [Warrior Armor] [Warrior Blade] [Fight Mania]!"

"[Boar Rampage]!"

Rampage rushed straight at the undeads, completely wrecking everything near her until she got into the room.

Blueberry quickly ran behind Rampage while throwing behind some explosives that ended up killing and slowing the undeads behind her.

Moment later, both Rampage and Blueberry were now located inside a massive room that was filled with undeads chimeras that were being led by the lich.

"…."

"Are you idiots? You should have ran while you had a chance." – said the lich.

"But now? You just trapped yourself and now you won't be able to escape."

The lich snapped his fingers and moments later, a bone like tentacles began covering the entrance that the duo just used.

"Ha! You know, the one that will die will be you today, lich." – said Rampage while pointing her lance towards the lich.

"Hmph! Foolish mortal! Do you know who you are dealing with?" – asked the lich.

"Well, probably some guy that works for the De'nul clan and its pretending to be fanatic since from the start the fanatics were fakes and they were working for some unknown motive." – said Blueberry.

"?!"

"How did you know?!" – asked the lich.

"Well, I didn't."

"I only knew that the fanatics were fake, but I didn't know you were the real member of the De'nul clan."

"But, thanks for confirming the info that you are indeed the member of the De'nul clan and that the fanatics are fake." – said Blueberry with cheeky smile.

"?!"

"You- "

"YOU BASTARD!"

"KILL THEM!"

The undead chimeras began running straight towards the Blueberry and Rampage.

"Oh right! Now common you bastards!" – shouted Rampage.

"Well, there is a lot of them, so allow me to make up some numbers."

"[Summon: Lesser Golem: Model: Igor]!"

Blueberry used her skill and summoned 3 golems with a hump and a giant polearm like weapon with a shovel shaped axe blade.

"[Dread Javelin]!"

The lich fired a projectile of necrotic energy at the Blueberry, but she just aimed with her grenade launcher and shot the projectile, hitting the magic projectile in the air and creating an explosion.

"?!"

(She stopped my [Dread Javelin]?!)

"!"

"[Bone Barrier]!"

Lich quickly deployed a barrier as another grenade projectile flew at him and quickly blocked the projectile explosion on contact with his barrier.

"?!"

(What the hell is this fire power?!) – though the lich.

(It didn't looked like she used any enchantment skills?! Is it just the power of these explosions?! What the hell are those?!)

Blueberry quickly fired another grenade at the lich, but the lich didn't wanted the projectile to get anywhere near him so he quickly fired an [Bone Arrow] at the projectile, making it explode in air before it got anywhere near him.

However, as soon as the explosion occurred, several smaller projectiles flew towards him that were easily stopped by the lich bone barrier.

When lich looked, he realized the projectiles were knifes? But the moment he saw them, he saw a weird gem like thing on their guards glowing up before then exploding.

"!"

"YOU AND YOUR PETTY TRICKS!" – shouted the lich.

"Tch. Well, I should have expected that… The explosive daggers doesn't really have that much of a power." – said Blueberry.

"Anyway, Rampage."

"Yea. I get it!" – replied Rampage.

"Don't hold back and just kill them all!"
