Chapter 92 - 93 – Pyramid Exploration.



The staff wielding undeads suddenly began tapping with their staff and moments later, a group of skeletons wearing a mask began appearing.

"Oh, fuck off! They are necromancers!" – said Shri.

"Then kill them before they bring out anymore undead!" – said ClownFrog.

GreyHunt aimed with his gun at one of the undead necromancer, but before he could fire with his gun, he was forced to quickly dodge after one of the "Guard" mummies tried attacking him.

"?!"

(It's fast.) – though GreyHunt.

Two more "Guard" undead leaped at the GreyHunt, but he quickly used an [Step Strike] to dodge the undead attack and launch an counter attack that ended up hitting one of the undead in the chest, but no killing it.

"!"

(Fuck? They are also tough?)

"Guys! This guy's maybe on another level compare to the undeads we fought outside!" – shouted GreyHunt.

"No shit! They can take my attack enchanted with a skill and still stand!" – said Shri while fighting 4 "Guard" mummies alongside her tamed monsters.

"Rampage! Try to break through and fuck those necromancers!" – shouted ClownFrog.

"On it!" – replied Rampage.

"[Boar Charge]!"

Rampage began charging right through the undead warriors, but suddenly two of the "Loyal" mummies charged at her with her shoulders and collided with her and making all 3 of them stop in place.

"?!"

(They stopped me?!)

"Tch. This guys are definitely not mindless undead!" – said ClownFrog after seeing Rampage getting stopped from reaching the necromancers.

(This guys are not only level 300, but are also way stronger than undead outside and even smarter.)

(We can probably still with those guys, but if we area already dealing with that kind of bullshit from the get-go, then I can probably tell that there would much stronger enemies as we explore this place.)

(Should I summon O'a now?)

(No. We can deal with any injuries with potions. I want O'a to be at 100% when a real battle starts.)

"[Summon: Skeleton Servant]."

"[Summon: High Skeleton Servant]."

"[Summon: Burning Head]."

"[Burning Skull – Extra]!"

[Increases further the damage and explosion range of the burning skull, but increase the cooldown by 10 seconds and cost by 100 MP.]

After summoning bunch of undead, ClownFrog threw a burning skull at the group of the sword wielding undead and managing to hit them all, but none of the undead had died.

A fierce battle between the party and the mummies finally commenced.

The mummies may not have been numerous in battle compare to the undead outside, but they were way much stronger.

The "Guard" mummies were tough and agile.

The "Sacrificed" mummies were summoning skeletons and putting debuffs on the party.

And as for the "Loyal" mummies, they were the strongest monsters present in the room. They were fast, strong, and tough.

However, in the end the party was somehow survive the undead ambush and won the battle.

"Fuck me! Why the heck these guys were so strong?" – said Rampage.

"Amari notes stated that the fallowers of the queen tried saving her, so maybe this guys were some sort of top tier elite soldiers that had been mummificeded in order to guard this place?" – said ClownFrog.

"Probably. This guys weren't easy to beat to the point that we literally leveled up already after beaten them." – said GreyHunt.

"But this is only the beginning, so we may run into more of these guys if not even stronger bastards."

"On top of that this place is literally a pyramid, so I won't be surprised if there will be some traps here and there."

"Well, this is not the only problem." – said Blueberry.

"The path we took is still shut. I guess this place won't allow us to leave until we conquer it or die?"

"By the look of things, yes." – said Oron.

"And there is another path over there across the room and it seems to be the only path we can."

After we quickly used potions to heal up, we resumed exploring pyramid.

The one who took the lead was the GreyHunt because of his bandit and bandit lord class.

Both of these classes possess a skills called [Notice Things] and [Notice Things – Upgrade – Careful].

Pretty much those skills allows GreyHunt to notice odd things like a traps and the second skills enchants the performance of that detection skill.

[Notice Things] skill is pretty simple skill. It has multiple uses. Trap detection. Invincible enemy detection. It may sound like a very good skill, but in reality, its quiet trash since the both of the effects are quite weak so a lot of the times bandits cannot spot the trap or spot the invisible enemy. Pretty much, this skill has chance to "Spot" something and the chances are quiet low.

However, thanks to the upgrade skill he was able to spot things bit more easier, but most of all traps were obviously not detected and we did ended up triggering some of them.

There was even a freaking giant boulder trap where we had literally to run for it.

Traps were not the only problem though. This place was heavily guarded by the mummies everywhere and none of them were a pushovers.

Sometimes we run into the rooms that were filled with those mummies and after the fight was finished, we had no choice but to take the break.

Rampage even once almost died when a bunch of the undead ganged up on her from all directions and if Shri hasn't interviewed, then she would have died back then.

The difficulty was keep getting increased as we moved. Sometimes even new variants of the mummies appeared like "Watch" that uses a bow or "Write" that uses offensive magic.

We are using a lot of potions and we are now break almost after the ever room.

I think maybe an hour or two or maybe even three passed, but I didn't really know, since we all were so busy with fighting.

Honestly, it was good idea that I didn't brough out O'a, since he would definitely end up injured or something.

But as the things currently stand, I will have no choice but to bring him out soon if not right in the next fight.

(Well, the only good thing about the situation that in the next fight, the [Advance Necromancy] should reach level 10 and evolve.)

(I'm really praying right now for some good attack skill or something, since the undead creation skills are completely useless right now.)

"Did everybody rested up already?" – asked ClownFrog.

"Yea. My MP just got fully restored. I'm good to go." – said Oron.

"Same here."

"Yub."

"…"

"Well then, let's get going." – said ClownFrog.

We once again resumed our exploration and began heading to down the only available path to us.

However, this time we didn't run into any traps?

We didn't triggered anything nor GreyHunt detected anything.

Honestly, we should be relieved and all, but all of us got really nervous instead.

We knew something was coming.

As we headed further down the path, we ended up entering an extremely wide room and I mean like wide!

"…I think this is it." – said ClownFrog.

"Yea. And look over there." – said Rampage.

In the middle of the wide room, there was a gigantic sarcophagus laying on the ground.

"Do you think that the queen is inside of this thing?" – asked Rampage.

"Well, the only way to find out is to open it." – said GreyHunt.

"But we should be careful, since the queen will probably end up attacking us because of her mindless state."

The party began slowly walking towards the sarcophagus while looking around in all directions.

After the while the party finally manage to arrive to the coffin.

"…"

(Nothing.) – though ClownFrog.

(This way too fuking easy if we can just walk towards the sarcophagus like that.)

"Wait Rampage. Don't open it yet." – said ClownFrog.

"?"

"Everybody get away. I will use my undead to open this thing. This is too freaking easy if we just can walk up to it without any problems."

"I agree. This thing literally has written trap all over it, no matter how you look at this." – said GreyHunt.

The entire party moved quiet far away from the sarcophagus before then sending the group of the skeleton servants towards the sarcophagus.

The skeleton servants got near the sarcophagus and put their hands on top of it, however as soon as they tried opening it, the sarcophagus began emitting bright red light before then a bunch of transparent purple chains appeared and wrapped themselves around the sarcophagus.

"!"

Suddenly, the four giant statues that were present in the room began to emit a bright red light from their eyes.

"!"

"Shit! This was really a trap!"

On the surface of the each of the humanoid statues, a glowing red markings began to appear all across their surface before then the statues themselves began moving.

Each of the statues wielded a shield and a khopesh.

[The One Who Watched Over Their Queen Slumber] – [Level 300] [Unique Boss] x4

"?!"

"Wait, wait, wait, wait! All of these fuckers are unique bosses?!" – said Shri.

"This is not all! Just look at their names!" – shouted ClownFrog.

"Their names and those chains that seem to be sealing the sarcophagus!"

"There is no mistaking it! The queen is inside of that thing!"

"Then all we have to do, is to just get rid of those fuckers, yes?" – said Rampage.

"Yea. But be careful. Probably these guys will be toughest opponents we will facing!" – said ClownFrog.

"So go all out!"

"[Undead Record: Full Summon]!"

ClownFrog summoned all of his undead creatures he had stored in the undead record, such as humans, scorpion monsters, snake monsters and even monkey monsters.

However, among the most noticeable monster among the entire horde of undead was a skeleton that was wielding two sabers and was emitting a green flame from its body.

[Burning Acid Skeleton Knight – O'a]

"Yo. Boss. Took you long enough to summon me." – said O'a.

"Sorry O'a, but I didn't had time to give you a test run where you could run wild, but now I have no choice but ask you for help." – said ClownFrog.

"No problem. If anything, these giant fuckers are the enemies, right? Then I have something to test out my new power on!"
