Chapter 91 - 92 – Dead Oasis.
[You have slain: Loyal Undead Abomination – Level 294]
[You have slain: Loyal Dead Sobek – Level 293]
[You have slain: Loyal Dead Priest – Level 290]
"Fuck me in the ass! There is no end to this things!" – said Shri.
"Yea. Not only there is shit tons of them, but they are also stronger than average monster." – said Oron.
"Well, the only benefit of this place is that we are leveling hell of fast. We already managed to level up 4 times already." – said Rampage.
"True. But still, it's bit hard. Because only undead monsters roam around here, I cannot freaking make new undeads." – said ClownFrog.
"On top of that, around 1/3 of the undeads I brough with me got already killed. Even the ones that got upgraded got killed."
[Undead Evolution: Lesser Dark Fusion] - [Abandoned Necromancer] skill.
[A dark element version of the skill [Undead Evolution: Lesser Fire Fusion].]
[Provide the same benefits but instead of fire element the undead will gain dark element and will gain [Lesser Abandoned] rank.]
"Fuck me. Can't you just bring out O'a then? He should help." – said Rampage.
"No. I'm saving him for now. We will probably encounter even stronger undeads when we would try to head near the temple or when we would be forced to fight the mindless undead version of the queen." – said ClownFrog.
"However, by the look of things most of the undead I had brough with me will probably die, so I will have to use skeleton servants and in the worst case scenario, I will have to use undead monsters I had stored."
"No fuking wonder. This place way harder than any of us though. You were already forced to use 3 healing skills already when we got suddenly blowed up by a fuking undead spellcaster." – said GreyHunt.
"But what do we do? If we try to rush it, we will have to fight a shit lot of monsters nonstop, but if we try to be slow and steady, we will also fight a lot of monsters." – said Oron.
"Well, you are unfortunately right. However, it's better if we try to move slow and steady, since we lack too much information on what sort of monsters are wandering around here." – said ClownFrog.
Suddenly, the group was approached by the group of undead cobra lamias.
"For fuck's sake. Again?"
"Don't worry I got this. Pi!" – said Shri.
Suddenly, a giant red cobra emerged from the ground.
[Cruel Cobra Egg] – [Rarity: Epic]
[Cruel Cobra – Pi] – [Female]
A gigantic red cobra stood more than 4 meters tall and was longer than 12 meters long stood right in front of the undead lamias.
However, the undead lamias screamed the 2 skeleton version of the cruel cobra appeared.
"…"
"Okay. That is bit of a bullshit." – said Shri.
[One annoying fight later.]
"Why the fuck they have cruel cobras?!" – said Shri.
"Sobeks, harpies, humans, cobra lamias and rattlesnake lamias. The undeads here seem to belong to all 5 tribes that were part of the Umil kingdom." – said ClownFrog.
"So pretty much, we are fighting the members of all 5 tribes right now." – said GreyHunt,
"Pretty much."
"But the question is, are the guys we are fighting something like the regular soldiers? Or are they something like tribe elites?" – said ClownFrog.
"I say 25% or maybe 15%. Most of the undead we fought here weren't as strong as some others. However, we did encounter from time to time a stronger undead that gave us more trouble, like those lamias just now." – said GreyHunt.
"And probably we will encounter more of those elites when we would start getting closer to the temple."
"Fuck…." – said ClownFrog.
"…"
[Advance Necromancy] – [Level 9]
(Fuck. I need just a little bit more.) – though ClownFrog.
(I don't know what sort of skills I would get from the 4th rank necromancy skill, but anything would be really helpful right now.)
(Well, expect the undead creation skills, since I would have no means of using them right now.)
(Anyway, the only way to get this bloody thing is to level up [Abandoned Necromancer] and [Unholy Necromancer] skills.)
(But we cannot try and focus on hunting right now, since this place is way too dangerous and we still need to find the temple.)
(We brought a lot of supplies this time, so we should somehow endure, but the problem is that we lack the information about the monsters here.)
(Either way, we cannot take it easy and have to be on guard all the time.)
"Tch. This place is probably no longer safe. We are moving." – said ClownFrog.
After being discovered by the undeads, we had no choice but to stop our break and continue moving.
I'm going to say this right now, this place is hard, even for us, but its also a perfect leveling up spot!
We are leveling up a lot ever since we got here and honestly, I would love to stay here for couple of days, but we unfortunately have no time to do that.
We only know from Amaran notes that the temple is located somewhere in this oasis, but the problem is that this oasis is quite big and it's infested to the brim with undeads.
So, we had to blindly search for temple while having to fight nonstop undeads.
We couldn't even take a proper breaks, since the moment we did, a new undeads were already coming at us.
However, I noticed something, off?
I mean, this place is filled to the brim with undeads, so I though this place would look like…. More dead?
Instead, the plants and the trees looks completely healthy. I wonder why it looks that way.
Anyway, I think we spend good 2 hours in this oasis, trying to find the temple.
We did leveled up a lot, but we still couldn't find the temple.
Shri tried once using her owl to scout around from above, but it got immediately shot down by something and killed. I guess we cannot try to play smart, huh?
Another hour passed and now we are encountering way more often the elite undeads. The fights are now getting harder and we are also encounter now a group of elite monsters working together.
However, maybe we are finally getting closer to the temple since now we are encountering them?
30 minutes passed and we were right. We found it.
There was a giant pyramid like structure that was completely covered in plants to the point it was hard to notice it was a structure and more like a random rock covered in plants.
Honestly, we couldn't spot this thing before, since the tree in oasis were quite big and were covering our view.
"Fuking finally! Please tell me this is the place!" – said Shri.
"Hm… I don't see any undeads here, so maybe this is really the place?" – said GreyHunt.
"Well, a pyramid that looks old like hell. There is a good chance that this is really the temple we were supposed to find?" – said ClownFrog.
"Look around. There may be entrance somewhere."
"I think I found it." – said Rampage.
"???"
The party looked towards the Rampage and saw her right next to the entrance that was covered in vines.
"…"
"How the hell you are doing this? You freaking also found the illusion wall last time almost immediately." – said ClownFrog.
"Skills kiddo." – said Rampage.
"And I say bullshit luck."
(Well, it's good and all that we manage to find this place, but all of the undeads I had brough with me got killed. So, all I have left are the undead I have stored and undead summons.)
"I don't know if this place is safe or not, but we are taking a short break. Drink potions and make sure that everything is at 100%"
"As soon as everybody rested up, we are immediately going in."
Honestly, I don't know why undeads were not present around the temple, but I'm grateful, since now we could have a proper break where we could just relax and calm down.
After we took a long break, everybody recovered and used potions to recover any HP, MP and SP they were missing.
Now, we were ready to enter the pyramid.
We cut down the vines that were covering the exit before then entering the pyramid itself.
It was quiet dark inside so we had to use torches in order to see anything.
So far, we were just walking on the straight path that was quiet peacefully? There were no undeads or traps or anything?
Did by any chance we found a wrong building?
"…"
"Say. Why there were no undeads outside? Isn't this place where the queen is located?" – said Oron.
"Hm... Yea. This is strange. Shouldn't this place be filled with undeads or something?" – said Rampage.
"…"
"Why do I think you two just raised a flag or something?" – asked Blueberry.
"?"
The party entered a dark room.
The party tried looking around with their torches, but before they could do that, many torches that were handing on the walls of the room began suddenly lighting themselves up around.
After all of the torches were lighten up, the party was now able to see where they were.
As it turns out, they found themselves in very wide room and on their left and right ends of the room, the party saw a lot of coffins standing along the walls.
"Wh- "
Before Shri could say anything, a stone wall suddenly emerged and blocked the path that they just took.
"?!"
"Oh. Let me guess. The mummies will now appear from this coffins?" – said Blueberry.
Suddenly, the coffins opens by themselves and mummies began crawling out of it.
[The Mummy That Decided To Guard – Level 300] x 14
[The Mummy That Decided To Sacrifice – Level 300] x 6
[The Mummy That Decided To Be Loyal – Level 300] x 2
Many human mummies emerged from the coffins that were wearing an armor and even wearing a jackal masks.
"Yeb. This idiots really did raised the flag." – said GreyHunt.
"Most of them are guys using two khopesh. I think they are warriors." – said ClownFrog.
"There are some with the staffs, so they are obviously a spell casters and there are also two using those weird polearm weapons… I saw them in games, but I don't know what they are called."
"Palm axe." – said Blueberry.
"?"
"How did you know that?" – asked ClownFrog.
"I kind of started looking on the net about old weapons since I was thinking of maybe making a weapon based on them."
"Oh. Anyway, get ready. They are coming!" – said ClownFrog.
