[VRMMO] Dead One

After doing all necessary preparation, we immediately left the Silver Sand city and began traveling to the Melody Tail tribe hidden village.

We got the information from the Sand Cobra tribe where the village is located and how to enter it.

We have also in our possession the two sigils from Sand Cobra tribe and Desert Vulture tribe, so it should make the talk about alliance much easier.

To get to the lamias hidden village, we would need to travel to another dessert canyon. However, unlike the canyon that the harpies have their nest in where a shit tons of monsters are roaming around, that place is apparently relatively safe, but to enter the village you need to get past the illusion wall.

"Say. How are we going to find that illusions wall?" – asked Rampage.

"The Sand Cobra tribe leader said that we need to look for a rock that kind of look like a skull with a horn. Apparently, the hidden wall should be somewhere near it." – said ClownFrog.

"A skull looking stone with a horn, like this one?" – asked Blueberry while pointing towards the stone that resembles a skull with a horn.

"Oh. Yea that it. Look around. The illusion wall should be somewhere near it."

"Hey! I found it already!" – said Shri while having her hand inside the wall.

"…Oh… That was somewhat extremely fast?" – said ClownFrog.

The party walked towards Shri before passing through the illusion wall.

"Intruders! Sound the alarm!"

As soon as the party entered, they saw a 4 lamias wielding the spear right in front of them.

"WAIT! We are allies! Here! Look!" – said ClownFrog while taking out sigils from his inventory.

"?"

"Halt." – said one of the lamias.

"These are… The Sand Cobra tribe sigil and the Desert Vulture tribe sigil. You. Explain yourself."

"Like I said. We are allies. More precisely, we are the allies of the Umil kingdom."

"?"

"We wish to speak with your leader about an alliance."

"An alliance?"

"Yes. Both the Sand Cobra tribe as well as the Desert Vulture tribe had already joined the alliance. If you like, you can send somebody to confirm it."

"You. Wait here. I will go inform the leader about this. Rest of you, keep the watch over them."

One of the lamias on the guard headed deeper into the tunnel, leaving behind the rest of the lamias as well as the party.

After some time passed, one of the lamias that left had returned, but she also came with 4 other lamias that were much heavier equipped.

Apparently, the lamias leader agreed to our demands and wanted to have the meeting. The four lamias that came with the lamia before are the escorts send by her. Probably they were just send to keep eye on us and see if we won't try anything fun.

Anyway, we fallowed the "Escort" through the tunnel and before we finally entered the Melody Tail hidden village.

It called village, but in reality, it's not. It's something much bigger.

The entire place was filled with lamias and they even had a ginormous farm that can probably produce enough food for all the lamias here.

This was a proper hidden base if I say so myself.

Not only that, but I saw many of those lamias being heavily armed. From the information we got from the Sand Cobra tribe, the Melody Tail tribe has an excellent farmers and alchemist. Probably they also have the blacksmith.

The food they produce as well as equipment will be obviously crucial for revolution. They maybe more important than the Sand Cobra tribe and Desert Vulture tribe.

Anyway, lets hope the talk will go well.

"I'm sorry. But we won't be able to join your alliance."

"May I know the reason why?" – asked ClownFrog.

"Please. Tell us. We told you everything about our plan to revive the queen and recruit all the tribes and rescue slaves."

"Yes. I heard you. But we cannot lay hands on the humans." – said the lamia leader.

"…Why?"

"Do you know about the Silver Sand city?"

"Yes. We were just there."

"Yea… Its beautiful city."

"Well, let me get to it."

"In the city, there is an underground mine that is extremely rich in many things. Ores, gems, iron and mostly important, the dessert gems."

"Dessert gems are extremely valuable resource that can be used to make powerful equipment and artifact. It can be used for many different things."

(Hm… I believe O'a said that his armor was made using the dessert gems. I asked him about equipment from curiosity.) – though ClownFrog.

"Anyway, the underground mines were made in order to extract those rich materials and a lot of slaves were brough there underground."

"However, this is not all. Many of our kin were kidnapped and taken recently, our chieftain and good portion of our clan was kidnapped."

"Wait. Aren't you the chieftain?"

"No. I'm her daughter. I'm current the acting chieftain."

"Anyway, the humans are using our kin as their slaves to dig for them and not only that, they are using them as hostages so we cannot attack them."

"So let me get this straight. As long as humans have your as well as the chieftain and other tribe members enslaved, you won't make a move?"

"Exactly. Its not like we don't want to join you, its more like we can't."

"Hm…."

"So, we have to rescue them somehow, yes?" – said ClownFrog.

"Yes. If you do that, the Melody Tail tribe will join the alliance." – said the lamia acting chieftain.

"Hey! Isn't this great deal? If we were to rescue the tribe members, not only we would get the Melody Tail join us, but we would also rescue the desanders of the Umil kingdom! Two birds with one stone!" – said Shri.

"Yea. That is good and all, but there are several problems." – said GreyHunt.

"He is right." – said ClownFrog.

"If we were to plan to rescue the slaves and the tribe members, we would make too big of a mess to not go unnoticed. And if we were to try to help the slaves and the tribe members escape, it would also not go unnoticed."

"Pretty much, we would have to make a giant mess out of the Silver City if we were try to rescue everybody."

"However, we cannot do that right now."

"?!"

"Why not?!" – asked Shri.

"Did you forget? We had to stay low as possible before revolution starts. If we were to make the mess out of the Silver Sand city, it would obviously end up alerting the other cities about the danger." – said ClownFrog.

"On top of that, the city is probably heavily guarded, considering that the city is full with nobles and how important the mine is."

"There is also no chance for using the tactic we used before in the Emerald city."

"So that leaves the 6 of us. I can summon undeads to make up some numbers, but will that be enough?"

"It will be obviously not enough AND for the safety of the slaves, we need to an assault squad that will make the chaos while we would go rescue the slaves."

"So… We would have to either ask the vulture harpies or cobra lamias for the assistance?" – said Blueberry.

"Yes. But if we were to act now, like I said before it would make a lot of panic and alert everybody." – said ClownFrog.

"And we cannot have them panic yet, until all the tribes get rescues and we revive the queen."

"If we were to do that now, then we would end up having the Melody Tail face the greater danger."

"…. So… You are saying that we cannot do anything right now?" – said Oron.

"Unfortunately, no."

"I'm sorry miss Uhi. But it's just not possible to rescue your tribe members right now. Like said, if we were to do that now, you and your people would probably end up facing greater danger if not ended up being hunted down."

"Can I ask you something?" – asked ClownFrog.

"Go ahead."

"Like we said, we are planning on recruiting the sobeks as well and afterwords try to revive the queen. With their help, it maybe possible to safely rescue your tribe members."

"However, we still need to recruit the sobeks."

"Lets make a deal. Give both your word that you will join the alliance as well as the sigil of the Melody Tail tribe and we promise you that we will rescue your people."

"It's not like we have option, huh? Deal."

One of the lamias servants bringed the sigil to the ClownFrog.

(But… Will that be enough to convince the sobeks?)

After the talk was over, we immediately left the lamias hidden village before then heading back to the Silver Sand city.

"ClownFrog. How bad is the situation with lamias?" – asked Blueberry while riding the sand running lizard.

"Pretty bad if I'm being honest." – replied ClownFrog.

"I agree as well. If we really want to rescue both the slaves and the tribe members, we would have to take the entire city somehow and not only that but we need a small army or something that will support us. Without other tribes' assistance, the rescue will be physically impossible." – said GreyHunt.

"But now what? Are we really going straight to the sobeks right now? We have only the Melody Tail word but they have yet to join us." – said Oron.

"True. We got the sigil from them, but will this really work out? The sobeks situation doesn't seem to be good either."

"But its not like we have choice, do we?" – said ClownFrog.

"We cannot rescue the members now because of the timing and we also need to first recruit the sobeks and revive the queen."

"By the look of things the Melody Tail will have to wait and for now, we will head to the sobeks hidden village and try to recruit them."

(Honestly, this is bad. The plan was to have the 3 tribes vouch for us in order to have some chance of convincing the sobeks. But now that we have 2 tribes vouch and 1 undecided until we rescue their tribe members.)
