Chapter 76: You Haven’t Told Me Your Name!
"Yo!! You were awesome out there!!" Raiden pushed the door open and walked in unhurriedly into Morgana’s personal room to congratulate her on her victory, only to freeze dead in his tracks.
The scene in front of him was absolutely scandalous.
Morgana had nothing on the top part, as she was using some kind of wet wipes to wipe her body off.
At his angle, all he could see was her shapely and muscular back, and that line, that spinal line that ran all the way down towards her thin waist and disappeared into a seemingly deep and unknown crack.
"You—!!" Morgana froze in her tracks after hearing the voice as she turned, covered her body with one hand and turned around in anger, only to see Raiden running out of the room at the speed of light. She swore she had never seen him run so fast before.
"I am sorry, I will come visit you later!!" Raiden’s voice down the corridor as he ran as fast as he could from that room.
He was afraid that if he didn’t run fast enough, he might not live long enough to see tomorrow.
After running for ten minutes and seeing no one was following him, Raiden heaved a sigh of relief as he cursed in his mind.
’What the hell?! Who changes their clothes in the broad daylight like this, and that too without locking their gate? Mad woman, absolutely mad one!’
Raiden blushed a little as he recalled the scene he had just seen. He had only watched something like this in 2D; it was his first time seeing something like this in 3D, and the experience was completely different.
"Oh, Raiden, my boy!! Hahaha, what are you doing here?!" A booming voice called out from behind, almost scaring him into jumping high into the air.
He turned around to see Old Man Sol laughing and walking with what appeared to be 3-4 old men and women like him.
"Since you are here, come with me!! They’ll take some time to repair the stage anyway. Come, I’ll introduce you to some of the old friends here."
Without giving him time to think, Old Man Sol pulled him aside into the nearby hall with them.
As soon as he walked in, he saw a lot of adults laughing, partying and talking with each other.
He even noticed Isadora, talking to another woman and laughing softly, looking like a femme fatale as always.
"Hahaha, everyone, let me introduce you to Raiden, the champion of our city and the winner of this year’s competition!!" Old Man Sol grabbed his shoulders and loudly addressed the crowd, drawing everyone’s eyes to Raiden, who felt a heavy pressure fall onto him.
But he didn’t change his expression, maintaining a small smile.
"It’s nice to meet you, everyone. My name is Raiden Ashford, and I am just here to gain experience and learn from seniors. Please take care of me." Raiden spoke in a professional tone.
Seeing his composure, a few people in the crowd nodded while others scoffed in disdain, as after a few polite words, everyone turned back to their previous conversation, leaving Raiden standing there awkwardly.
Raiden didn’t let it faze him at all; he ignored everyone and turned his attention to the food in the room.
"You are called Raiden Ashford, right?"
Just as he picked up his plate and started stacking it, a melodious voice rang out from behind him.
Hearing the voice, he put his plate down and turned around to greet the speaker, only to be stunned by her beauty.
Standing in front of Raiden was a breathtaking beauty. With deep blue hair that came down to her waist, the woman wore no jewellery, just a single golden pendant with a blue gem on it, which seemed to shine with a mysterious sheen.
Standing at 6’3, the woman wore a blue coloured gown that glittered under the chandeliers on the ceiling.
She exuded a mature charm that was different from Isadora’s.
While Isadora was like a mature seductive woman who could steal your soul away, she looked more like a mature queen, standing above the masses and a different type of beauty.
"Raiden??" An amused smile came onto her face as she saw Raiden’s reaction to looking at her.
"I am sorry!! I got lost in thought. I just never thought Marina would have such a beautiful big sister~" Raiden praised naturally.
"Oh my~ You have such a sweet mouth on you. How many little girls have you tricked before this?" The woman put one hand on her mouth as she smiled happily. No woman could resist being called young.
"Trick? What trick are you talking about, big sister? I am just speaking the truth." Raiden smiled as he kept praising her. First rule of making connections, first impressions are the most important, better make them count.
"Haha, enough with the jokes. I am actually Marina’s mother, you know." The woman smiled as she answered him.
"No way! You don’t look a day over 24~! You must be lying to me. No way you are her mother." Raiden put on an exaggerated expression on his face, making her giggle.
"You are making me blush, you know. But how did you guess I was related to Marina?" The woman asked curiously. There were at least a dozen people with blue hair like hers here. How did this brat pick her out naturally? Did he already know about her?
"It was simple, really. It’s your eyes." Raiden answered confidently.
"My eyes?" The woman blinked.
"Yes!! These cerulean blue eyes. I have only seen such clear and beautiful eyes on her. So I was sure you were definitely related. I am guessing her good genes came from you." Raiden spoke as truthfully as he could, as he saw a rare blush cover that woman’s face for a second.
"You really are a little womaniser. Only if you were a little older..." The woman narrowed her eyes as she talked to herself in a low voice.
"You saying something?" Raiden questioned.
"Nothing! I was just wondering where you met my dear daughter before." The woman asked.
"Oh yes, I met her this morning in the mess hall. She is such a kind and gentle person. She even reminded me of important things. Very good person."
Hearing his answer, an unnatural expression appeared on her face as she looked at Raiden.
Gentle, and her daughter?? She never thought anyone would associate those two words together. As her mother, how could she not know she was like? Her nickname was Sadistic Witch of Water for gods sake!!
Bang!~
A loud bell rang out in the distance, snapping her out of her thoughts.
"Well, it was a pleasure to meet you, Raiden. I hope we can meet again soon."
Smooch.
The woman moved closer and gave him a soft kiss on his cheek before pulling back.
She started walking away from him, leaving Raiden standing there in a daze.
"Wait!! You haven’t told me your name yet!" Raiden asked loudly.
"Beat my daughter, and I will tell you all about it~"
