Chapter 84: Team
Leah was still staring at Lukas. She was a very curious type of person and a secret which would be able to assassinate a level four dead walker was quite enticing for her.
Lukas shook his head and Leah pouted before her expression changed immediately. She remembered the fact that he was not interested in creating a team.
"So this plan is decided then. Leon Mercer will be given priority in leveling up to level three and his team would try to assassinate the dead walker.
After Victor spoke, he waited for anyone to cast their votes but nothing like that happened.
Lukas shook his head but before he could say anything, Leah stood up.
Lukas got dumbfounded. He really did not understand why she was so eager to recruit him.
Before someone else escalated the situation, Victor raised his hand.
Leah sighed and sat down but just as she did, she slightly nudged Lukas’s leg with her own..
"Lukas, let me explain what is the benefit of a team. Its main purpose is resource gathering.
These resources are mainly kept by the team itself but 10 percent is something which they have to give to the main treasury of this shelter. It is like tax which will be used for the betterment of the shelter.
You can also decide how you split the 90 percent you have among yourselves. So this is in a nutshell what a team is. Now you can decide whom to join or hear their offers first to pick what is best for you.."
"No need. I like going on solo missions so this team thing is not for me but I can still tag along like a guest member or something. But in that case, what I hunt is mine. I will decide what to give to the shelter as tax..."
Leah and others were a little surprised but given his strength it was only natural that he would not just become their member.
"Well then the council is over. Lukas, ask that receptionist. She will show you your apartment here.." Victor stood up and looked towards Leon. "Leon Mercer, let us go and see your accuracy.."
Lukas stayed seated. He was not interested in seeing the training. Instead he opened his system panel. He wanted to search for a particular weapon.
Nonetheless, for the time being he just wanted a short sword which was insanely sharp and sturdy.
