Chapter 83: Plans
A few moments later Lukas was sitting in the council with the previous members and waiting for the discussion to begin.
In the end he agreed to be part of the council occasionally. Catherine and Lillian were not here. They went to look at the arrangement made for their previous group to live.
As Lukas was waiting for Victor to start, he felt a knock on his leg. He frowned and looked towards his right where Leah was sitting beside him.
"Congrats.." Leah blinked while speaking faintly so that others would not be able to hear it.
Lukas gave a slight nod. "Thanks.."
"Listen, are you planning to make a team?" Leah continued.
Lukas thought for a moment but shook his head. "No.."
He was not interested in that. Although he had Catherine and Lillian, he was not interested in putting them in harm. They were not suitable for outgoing missions for the time being.
Leah was surprised hearing that, so surprised that she ended up speaking out loud. "Really!!"
Others sitting in the council turned their heads towards them...
"Cough! Sorry about that..." Leah apologised and stopped speaking for the time being.
Victor finally got free after signing the last bit of papers which were about the development of new camps inside for the future groups. "Alright let us begin..
Lukas we have already talked on the issue, so you are the only one left. The discussion was on how to kill that level four dead walker.
There are some things you should hear about it to effectively take part in the discussion.. anyone explain to him."
"I will do it.." Leah immediately raised her hand.
"Alright.." Victor nodded.
When Leah got the permission she immediately spoke. "The main thing you have to know is that this dead walker has gathered a lot of lower level dead walkers.
The total number might already be different since the evolvers who are scouting it have not sent their reports yet but according to last reports it was about 200 or so..
So, attacking it from the front is far more challenging than we can imagine. This is why we are trying to figure out ways to kill it without confronting his whole army..
We have not been able to develop any solid plan but there is one plan which was most feasible till now. It was to assassinate it using Leon’s spell.."
Leah patted the man beside her with long hair covering his eyes.
"His spell is like a railgun, which shoots a sharpnel with immense speed.. if this sharpnel is able to hit the neck of the dead walker then there is a possibility of knocking out its crystal, effectively killing it..." Leah stopped after speaking till now before sighing.
"The only issue is that Leon is level 2 and even if his spell is uncommon tier, it is doubtful that it will be able to knock the crystal out of the level 4 dead walker.. that is it. This was where you came and we stopped our meeting.."
Leah relaxed after speaking till now and Lukas nodded as he understood it quite clearly.
He had to say that assassinating a level four dead walker did seem like a good idea. Once the main boss was dead, its minions would not be organised and could be easily killed off. "So, you must be thinking about making him level up faster right?"
Lukas gestured towards Leon.
It was Victor who answered. "Yes that is what is currently the most suitable choice for the time being. Among all of us, only his attack has the highest penetrating power.."
Lukas nodded. Although he had an even better idea. It was his Invisibility spell.
He had tested it before coming here and it was quite good in its own terms. Once he had used the skill, he went invisible while wearing the clothes.
So there was no need to get naked for it. He even held a weapon and the weapon went invisible too.
He tried with multiple things but only things which were small, size of a short sword, were able to go invisible with him.
It was as if he was covered in a small bubble which made him invisible along with things inside.
There was one single downside of this spell. If he even tried to use strength, like clenching his fist or anything that made his muscles or blood to be slightly triggered, his Invisibility would break immediately.
So attacking while still in invisible state was impossible. The moment he did, he would be visible to everyone.
Nonetheless, it was still a very deadly spell, as no one could dodge an attack if he reached almost touching distance to his enemies. Unless their stats were much higher than his. "I like your plan of assassination but would Mr. Leon be able to target him from a distance where he technically is not in discoverable distance from the dead walkers, not to mention he has to hit precisely its neck?"
Victor sighed. "That is what we should test first. If it works then we will go with the plan or else it will be a full war of attrition.."
Lukas gave a slight nod. "Actually I can still assassinate that level four but let us try Mr. Leon first.."
Everyone got stunned hearing that.
"What do you mean?" Leah immediately asked.
Lukas shrugged his shoulders. "I do not think that really needs an explanation. I just said that I can still assassinate that dead walker. Do not ask me how since it is a secret."
He did not want to give more information than what he had already given. Invisibility spell could easily be listed under light affinity but he had no intention of mentioning it.
Leah immediately pouted when she heard that but she knew that everyone had secrets so she could not press him to speak about it.
"If Lukas thinks that he can assassinate the dead walker then I trust him... this eases a lot of pressure." Victor sighed in relief.
There was one person not happy though. He was pretty jealous of everything that had happened till now.
