Chapter 151: Slayer of the False Heavens
"Sky King! Come out!!" Adonis shouted, floating above the same serpent skull where the Serpent King used to sit.
His shout shook the maidservants out of their wits. However, a single young serpentoid stepped in front of Adonis angrily.
"Audacious human! Do you know whom you are talking to? He is my father! How did you get in here? Guards, get him!"
Adonis smiled coldly. "So, you are his son?"
"Yes, that is me," the young serpentoid admitted proudly.
The next moment—
Splash!
His body was cut open at the stomach, leaving his eyes confused for a second. By the time he noticed, it was already too late.
Thwak!
His upper and lower body fell onto the floor with a sickening thud.
"My son! My only heir!"
The Sky Serpent King materialized not long after. His eyes glowed with a hateful, incandescent violet light.
He did not waste time with parley. Grief and fury acted as a catalyst for his transformation. His skin bubbled and stretched, his humanoid features melting into a terrifying visage of scales and fangs.
Within seconds, a 100 meters-long white serpent coiled around the pillars of the palace, its massive body shattering the ornate architecture as it grew.
"HISSS, I WILL ANNIHILATE YOUR NINE GENERATION, DRAGON KING!"
Following the Serpent King’s bellow, the air grew heavy with the pressure of a Level 80 powerhouse.
The King’s tail, thick as a siege tower and covered in diamond-hard scales, whipped through the air with a sonic boom.

Adonis was caught mid-air. Even with his heightened reflexes, the sheer displacement of air by a creature that size made dodging impossible.

The impact sent him hurtling through three marble walls, his body leaving a trail of pulverized stone before he finally skidded to a halt at the edge of the palace balcony.
"Cough... ha... that actually stung," Adonis muttered, wiping a streak of dark blood from his lip.
He didn’t panic thoigh. He accessed his mental interface with a thought, looking at the massive pool of unassigned points he had hoarded from the slaughter in the desert and the forest.

Adonis exhaled like a berserk dragon. His muscles became dense and coiled like steel springs, and his skin took on a metallic sheen.
While his Level was still technically 27, his raw physical output had just jumped into the realm of a Level 70 juggernaut.
"Annihilate my nine generation?" Adonis growled in a draconic bass. "That’s pretty big ambition you have there."

He transformed.
His golden wings unfurled, skin transformed indestructible dragom scales.
He was a Dragon of Chaos, a creature that shouldn’t exist in the natural order of the Sky Palace.
With jaws wide enough to swallow a house the Serpent King lunged,
"Die, you murderous worm!"
Adonis met the charge head-on. Instead of dodging, he used his newfound strength to catch the Serpent King’s upper and lower jaws with his front talons.
BOOOM!
The sound of their collision was like a mountain collapsing.
"H-How?!"
The Serpent King’s eyes widened in shock as he felt a Level 27 "insect" actually halting his momentum.
"How? How can you possess such force?" the Serpent King hissed through his locked teeth.
"Simple. Your pitiful logic doesn’t apply to the Chaos Order," Adonis replied, his draconic features prideful.
Using his superior leverage and the explosive power of his 1,684 Strength stat, Adonis twisted his body and slammed the Serpent King’s head into the palace floor.
BAMMM!
The impact created a crater fifty meters wide, sending tremors down the giant trees to the forest floor below.
The Serpent King thrashed, his tail coming around for another strike, but Adonis was faster. He leaped into the air, his wings beating with enough force to create localized hurricanes.
"Art: Chaos Ultima!"
Adonis began to channel the raw, entropic energy of his physique.
BUZZZZZ!!!
Instantly, a sphere of swirling black void formed between his horns, drawing in the light, the air, and the very mana from the surroundings.
This wasn’t a standard elemental attack; it was the power of Destruction itself.
The Serpent King sensed the danger and opened his mouth to retaliate with his own ultimate move.
"Heavenly Judgement!"
From the serpent’s throat, a pillar of blinding white light shot forth, meeting the dark+purple sphere of Chaos Ultima in mid-air.
ZZZZZZZ!
The two forces clashed, creating a rift of pure energy that began to disintegrate everything within 50 meters of the contact point.
For a moment, the Level 80 King seemed to hold the advantage. His level gap provided a deeper mana pool. But Adonis had the destruction of Chaos.
The sphere of concentrated chaos became more concentrated after swallowing the Heavenly Light.
"Impossible! My ancestral ability is absolute!" the King screamed in denial.
"Your light is just fuel for my darkness," Adonis countered.
With a final, guttural roar, Adonis pushed the Chaos Ultima sphere forward. It plowed through the white beam like a hot knife through wax. The sphere struck the Serpent King square in the chest, right where his heart was protected by his thickest scales.
The explosion was unlike any other.
"KA-BOOOOOOOOOOOOM!"
The Serpent King’s scales flaked away into ash. The Destruction energy annihilated his cells at molecular structure, turning his Level 80 physical defense into useless dust.
His massive body was flung backward, crashing through the throne and sliding across the plaza as he shrank back into his broken, bleeding humanoid form.
Adonis descended, transforming back into his human shape.
He landed right in front of the schorched King. His eyes were cold and devoid of mercy.
The entire palace had gone quiet. The surviving serpents watched from the shadows, paralyzed by the sight of their "King" defeated by a dragon king who wasn’t even at the same rank or experience.
"You... you are a devil," the Serpent King wheezed, ash coming out from his mouth. "The gods... they will never let you go."
Adonis domineeringly stepped onto the King’s chest, feeling the weak thrum of a failing heart.
"Gods? Tch. Let them come. I might want to see their cowardly, just in case.."
He raised his hand, a small blade of chaos energy forming at his fingertips.
"Wait!" the King gasped. "Spare my people... they only followed my orders."
Adonis looked around at the magnificent, crumbling palace and the fearful faces of the maidservants, the added:
"I am a King, not a butcher. Those who kneel will live. But a throne cannot have two masters."
Without another word, Adonis brought the blade down.
