Alpha's Regret: The Seventh Time was Forever

Chapter 661 - I’ll be waiting for you.

Voren did not refuse him. After all, Bloodfang had not interrupted his conversations and hadn’t let him lose control in front of his enemies. The wolf had been patient, waiting, watching. Now it was his turn.

His claws began to elongate as Jaron spoke through deep breaths, his voice trembling with desperation. "King Voren, what will you tell my daughter? I am still Alpha Corvine’s father-in-law."

Bloodfang threw him across the wall. The impact cracked the plaster, and Jaron fell hard on the floor, the breath driven from his lungs.

Battal needed Jaron alive, but right now, he could not interfere in issues among wolves. This was not his fight.

"Your daughter will understand because you almost killed the man she loves." Bloodfang growled, Voren’s gaze turning dark as the wolf took full control without shifting.

Jaron could see it in the way Voren’s eyes turned dark that his wolf was in control. Fear rippled through him, cold and suffocating.

"No, you can’t do this." Jaron’s voice cracked, desperate. "You would not have had the crown if it wasn’t for me."

"That’s why I gave you a second chance." Bloodfang snarled, his claws digging into Jaron’s arms. "But you threw it in my face."

A shrill scream tore from Jaron’s mouth. Blood sputtered from the wound as his arm fell to the floor, severed cleanly.

The Lycans, except Battal, had shocked expressions on their faces. They looked at their king, their eyes questioning. "Should we help?"

"Try it if you dare." Bloodfang growled, his voice a low rumble. "This is a matter between werewolves."

His clawed hand wrapped around Jaron’s leg, the grip unyielding. "This is what happens to anyone who tries to kidnap a white wolf." Though he spoke to Jaron, his words were directed at the Lycans as a warning.

It was the reason he allowed them to stay. "Not under my watch."

"No!" Another painful shriek tore from Jaron as his leg was disconnected from his body. He was a sobbing mess, tears streaming down his face, as his wolf tried desperately to heal his pain. But Bloodfang was not done.

"Traitor." The word was a curse. "You sell your own people to our enemies." His eyes burned with cold fury. "Let’s see how you continue to do that."

He lifted Jaron by the neck, his claws digging into his mouth as he removed his tongue.

Jaron’s screams were muffled, strangled, as Battal’s fingers balled into fists. This werewolf was more dangerous than any of the Alphas they’d ever met.

Yeah, Jaron wore the crown for decades, but he was never as powerful as this werewolf. It was clear that this man’s strength had nothing to do with the crown. it was innate, primal, terrifying.

"Since you have eyes but decided to never see the good in others, I figured you don’t need them."

Jaron could only let out muffled sounds as his eyes were ruthlessly gouged out of their sockets. Bloodfang did not let go of his head, his dark eyes roaming over the wreckage of the man before him.

"I would have let you go now, but who knows, you will hear bad advice and words from our enemies and write with your one hand." His voice was cold, methodical.

"The only reason I left you one hand and one leg is for you to be able to bathe and take care of yourself without being a burden to anyone. With one hand and a crutch, let’s see how you’ll have the dignity to continue sowing discord among our kind."

His claws wrapped around Jaron’s ears, not the least perturbed by Jaron’s pain. He pulled both ears so hard they came apart, the sound wet and sickening, before he dropped Jaron’s half-conscious, bloodied body on the floor. It landed with a heavy thud, a broken thing that barely resembled a man.

Then he looked at the Lycans in the room, his gaze sweeping across their pale faces. "You want the pack land, our white wolves? Let me see you try." His voice was a low growl, a promise. "I’ll be waiting for you."

Bloodfang gave back Voren control. As they turned to the entrance, the receptionist stood there, her face pale from shock. Her eyes were wide, her mouth open in a silent scream. Then her knees gave way. She fainted, crumpling to the floor like a discarded doll.

Voren only walked around her and left, his footsteps silent on the marble floor. Battal looked at the useless werewolf on the floor, his expression unreadable. They would not get any other information from him. Hence, he would only be a nuisance to them.

As he thought through his next plan, one of his men asked, "King Battal, this Alpha King is dangerous. Should we look for Bowen? His skills are unmatched, and we have no doubt he’ll be able to defeat this werewolf."

Battal did not answer. He only looked through the window in time to see the outlanders bowing to King Voren, right before he shifted into his wolf form and dashed into the woods like he was never there in the first place, a black blur swallowed by the darkness.

"Call for an emergency meeting with all the elders and protectors." His voice was cold, commanding. "Assemble the Lycan army too."

It was midnight by the time Voren arrived at the Grimroot pack. Everywhere was quiet, the pack settled into sleep. But Damon was waiting for him at the entrance with clothes, his expression patient.

"How long have you been here?" Voren asked as he put on the clothes, the fabric warm against his cold skin.

Damon replied politely, "A little more than an hour. Alpha Corvine waited here since they returned, but I felt sorry for his wife, so I insisted that he go to rest." He paused, his eyes searching Voren’s face. "How did it go?"

At the question, Voren remembered something very important and cursed, "Fuck." Then he faced Damon, his expression everchanging to business. "It went well. And you should journey to the Silver Moon Pack in three days to help with their pack’s finances." He paused, letting the words sink in. "Your exclusive training starts tomorrow."

Damon’s breath hitched, his eyes widening with surprise and no small amount of apprehension. But Voren had already made his way to the elevator, his steps purposeful.

As soon as he entered his suite, he reached for his phone and texted the outlanders, his fingers moving quickly across the screen. ’I want to know everything about the Lycans. Especially the location and access to their underground pack.’
