Chapter 149: No New Skill But Happy
After they finished their joyful romp inside the dimensional room, they returned to the real world. As it turned out, they had been gone for less than a second. Immediately, Diana, Dahlia, Donna, Deborah, Dulcia, and Daphne teleported away using a device Deborah had built, appearing in the council room which served as their base.
Afterward, Dennis and Daisy walked toward the warehouse door while tidying up their uniforms, which were still a bit disheveled. But before they could even open it, the door swung wide. "Huh." Dennis and Daisy froze in their tracks. Standing right there were five people carrying balls and rackets. They looked like they’d just finished gym class, clearly sweating, and they were 11th graders from the same year as Viola and Fiona.
The two boys and three girls in front of them obviously got the wrong idea. They saw Dennis with his shirt still half-tucked, sweating, and his gauntlet straps loosely fastened. Meanwhile, Daisy’s hair was a mess, she was flushed, and her glasses and skirt were both crooked. "Blush." The stunned faces of the five students turned bright red. They forced a laugh, clearly recognizing who Dennis and Daisy were.
"Um... sorry, guys. Please, carry on," one of the boys said.
"Yeah... sorry for the interruption," the girl next to him added, holding the door and preparing to shut it again.
"Hey... wait, we weren’t doing anything!" Dennis said, embarrassed.
But when they saw Daisy blushing and avoiding their gaze, their misunderstanding only grew. Finally, they politely excused themselves and bolted, clearly eager to start gossiping. Dennis turned to look at his wife, who looked right back at him.
"What?" Daisy asked.
"Why didn’t you say anything?" Dennis asked.
"Oh... sorry. I’m still... you know. This part of me is still throbbing, hehe," Daisy answered while clutching her upper stomach.
"Good grief. There’s definitely going to be some weird rumors circulating now," Dennis muttered, covering his face with his hand.
"Forget about it. We’re husband and wife; it’s not like it matters anyway," Daisy said casually.
"We are husband and wife, but it’s definitely a problem in a public place, especially at school," Dennis muttered, covering his eyes with his hand and shaking his head.
"Hehe... I actually want to do it in a public place," Daisy teased.
"That’s enough, let’s get to class," Dennis replied.
"Okay, honey," Daisy answered cheerfully.
They walked toward their class while straightening their clothes. When they arrived, Gary, Olivia, Jason, and Kimberly were shocked to see Dennis and Daisy sweating so much that their shirts were soaked.
"Whoa... what have you been up to, man?" Jason asked.
"Did you get splashed by something?" Gary asked.
"Hmm... what exactly have you two been doing, I wonder?" Olivia said, appearing to sniff out a secret.
"Man... it’s still the middle of the day. Besides, you guys already have a kid; I don’t have one yet," Kimberly said, seemingly picking up on the vibe too.
"We weren’t doing anything, don’t ask," Dennis said.
"We just finished practicing, hehe," Daisy added, grabbing her husband’s arm as she sat beside him.
"Oh, practicing, right," Gary, Olivia, Jason, and Kimberly said in a mocking tone, clearly not believing a word of it.
After that, they went back to chatting casually while waiting for the break to end. Of course, Daisy was interrogated by Olivia and Kimberly, while Gary and Jason backed up their respective wives. Dennis was forced to help Daisy out until the bell finally rang. They immediately sat up straight. Dennis, feeling uncomfortable because his clothes were still a bit damp, unbuttoned the top three buttons of his shirt. Then, he opened his skill interface and was shocked—he hadn’t gained any new skills at all, and his old skills hadn’t leveled up either.
"Sami, I didn’t get any new skills, and none of my existing skills leveled up even though I gained a ton of levels today. How is that possible?" Dennis asked in his head.
[You cannot acquire new skills at this time, Master. All the skills you currently possess are part of the Berserker skill set. Your skills will only improve once your class advances to the next rank.]
"Hmm... I see. Let me double-check. So, I’ll only get new skills and see my current ones evolve after I reach the next class rank? Is that right?" Dennis asked.
[That is exactly correct, Master.]
"Well, that’s fine then. No big deal, as long as I’m leveling up and I’ve got something to give me some peace of mind," Dennis replied casually.
[Your wives becoming permanent?]
"Yeah... I was worried before. After telling my parents and letting them get to know all six of them as part of the family, if they suddenly disappeared and went back to the main body, it would just feel... off. It would definitely make everyone sad because even I feel it, even if they’re technically still there in one body," Dennis said.
[True, Master. That is why I called it dangerous, but if you can manage your feelings, it is no problem for me.]
"I know. This actually makes me feel much more at ease, even if they’re a bit too powerful to be left loose in the real world... but as long as they stay the way they are, I think it’s fine. Besides, if Destiny ever goes on a rampage, they’re the only ones who can handle her anyway," Dennis replied in his head.
[You could too, Master. I will tell you something: Ray M, with all that ability and power, hasn’t even reached the peak class rank yet. He is still one level below the peak and one level above you.]
"Huh... really? All that ’infinite’ stuff and he’s still not at the top?" Dennis asked.
[Correct, Master, though he is indeed close to a class evolution.]
"Hmm... I see," Dennis muttered, thinking it over.
[Additionally, his class is All-Rounder, just like Destiny’s, so he is clearly far stronger than other classes.]
"That makes sense... even in games, All-Rounder is the strongest class because they can handle physical attacks, magic, and spirit," Dennis muttered.
[That is exactly correct, Master.]
"So, can I ever become as strong as him?" Dennis asked.
[Based on your class, it is clearly impossible for you to equal him, but in terms of raw physical stats, you are far beyond him.]
"Hmm... well, whatever then. I don’t actually want to be as powerful as he is anyway, but I do need to get on that level just to protect my family," Dennis replied with a shrug.
[Very well, that is entirely up to you, Master.]
"Got it. Thanks, Sami," Dennis said.
[You are very welcome, Master. I am happy to be of help.]

Meanwhile, in the house’s master bedroom, Diana, Dahlia, Donna, Deborah, Dulcia, and Daphne were sprawled across the bed, clearly having just finished bathing. All six looked completely drained.
"That training was exhausting," Diana muttered.
"You said it," Dahlia added, seemingly unable to even lift her head from where it was buried in the pillow.
"Sugar isn’t finished yet, right?" Deborah asked.
"Huh... far from it. Do you remember when he was drilling Daisy to be as strong as us? She was crying and in pain back then... but baby took care of her and took responsibility. That’s why I love him more and more," Dulcia answered.
"That’s true. Our husband really is amazing, hehe," Daphne added.
Then they heard snoring and saw that Donna was already motionless, buried in the bed and off on an adventure in the world of dreams.
"Whoops, she’s out," Daphne said.
"You were out earlier too, so don’t complain," Deborah remarked.
"Yeah, yeah... and I was woken up right on top of our husband’s stomach... this part of me is still throbbing because of it, hehe," Daphne said, lying on her back while clutching her lower abdomen.
"It’s not just you. Mine is still throbbing too," Diana said.
"That was intense," Dahlia said, lifting her head for a second before dropping it back onto the pillow.
"We were just too happy... finally, we’re permanent outside of Daisy’s body and we’ve become human... we’re officially seven twin sisters now, hehe," Deborah said.
"Exactly. That’s why we were so spirited earlier. Our husband was excited too, because it was so obvious how happy he was to have us out here," Dulcia added.
"Alright then, time to sleep," Diana said, resting her head.
Finally, they all laid their heads on their pillows, except for Dahlia, who had been face-down from the start. But before they could even close their eyes, "waah... waah... waah," the sound of crying echoed closer and closer to the room, accompanied by footsteps. A moment later, the door swung open. Elenor walked into the master bedroom carrying a crying Destiny.
"Hey... can one of you take over and watch Destiny for a bit? We’re about to go eat," Elenor said.
"Uuuh... alright, Mom," Daphne said, sitting up and taking Destiny from Elenor’s arms.
"Oh, and by the way, the milk is all gone, so you’ll need to buy more. I’m going back downstairs now; I’ll come back and help out again after I eat," Elenor said, smiling at the five of them.
"Okay Mom, thanks," Diana, Dahlia, Deborah, Dulcia, and Daphne said with tired smiles.
After the door closed, the five of them fell silent, including Destiny, who seemed to have just missed her moms since she stopped crying immediately.
"We aren’t going to get any rest," Diana said.
"Huuuf... alright, I’ll go make some formula real quick," Deborah said, standing up and walking weakly toward the cabinet that housed the tube back to the council room.
"Can I just pretend to be asleep?" Dahlia asked, lifting her head.
"No," Diana, the walking Deborah, Dulcia, and Daphne all answered at once.
