My Seven Wives in One Body and Me, her Manager

Chapter 143: Come Clean with The Hidden Truth

Once Dennis and Daisy returned home, they were immediately grilled by Elenor and Martha about the ghost twins appearing in the house. William looked skeptical, but seeing his wife and mother-in-law in a panic, he kept quiet while holding a now-awake and happy Destiny, letting Elenor and Martha ramble on. Dennis and Daisy finally breathed a sigh of relief when the two finished, but there was a certain look in their eyes, as if they had reached a decision to put their parents’ minds at ease.

"Alright... I understand. Actually, there’s something I need to tell you all," Dennis said, placing a hand on Daisy’s shoulder.

"We actually wanted to keep this a secret, but since things have turned out this way, we intend to reveal everything," Daisy added.

"But no matter what happens, please don’t feel guilty or bad, because this has absolutely nothing to do with any of you," Dennis followed up.

"It’s okay, son. Just tell us," William replied, still holding Destiny.

Finally, after taking a deep breath and holding hands, Dennis and Daisy explained everything—about Dennis’s awakening abilities and the six other personalities living inside Daisy’s body. Naturally, Martha felt a wave of guilt, realizing this was all a byproduct of her past marriage to Norman, which clearly reopened old wounds, but Daisy reassured her mother that it wasn’t her fault.

Elenor and William looked at Dennis with worried eyes, but he told them he was happy and there was no need to worry. Furthermore, Dennis mentioned that he remembered everything now and knew who his biological father was without Elenor or William having to explain it. He then affirmed that the two of them were his only true parents, which made Elenor burst into tears while William embraced her, holding Destiny with eyes that were also welling up.

After Dennis and Daisy finished their story and placed Destiny in her crib, Elenor and William immediately pulled them into a hug, followed shortly by Martha. Once everyone had calmed down, they began to explain that Daisy’s six personalities were now real because of Dennis’s abilities, though they naturally kept the details of their extraordinary powers—and Destiny’s—to themselves. Of course, Elenor, William, and Martha were stunned.

"Alright, you guys can come in," Dennis said, glancing toward the basement.

Everyone turned to look as Diana, Dahlia, Donna, Deborah, Dulcia, and Daphne appeared one by one, coming up from the basement. They were all disguised as Daisy, hiding their true races, but they had styled their hair according to their agreement. Then, Daisy stood up and joined them. Seeing seven Daisys standing before them, William, Elenor, and Martha stood frozen, as if they couldn’t believe their eyes and were completely lost for words.

"Giggle... kyaaaah!"

But when they heard Destiny laughing and saw her looking at her seven mothers while wiggling in her crib, William, Elenor, and Martha snapped back to reality. They could see that all seven of them clearly adored Destiny and loved her, because at their core, they were all Daisy.

"This is truly incredible, son. I’m honestly amazed at what you’ve managed to do," William said.

"Thanks, Dad. But please, keep all of this a secret. I don’t want anyone outside the family knowing about me or Daisy," Dennis replied.

"Of course, son. Of course," William promised.

"Thank you, Dennis. I’m grateful you were willing to tell me about this," Martha said.

"I didn’t do it for myself, or for you, or for Mom and Dad. I did it for them. Like I said, they were unified with Daisy before, so whatever we gave to her, they received too. But if they’re separated? They become their own people and end up being pushed aside. I didn’t want that. I want us all to accept each other and move forward together as family," Dennis replied.

"That’s right, son. Family is always number one. I am truly proud of you," Elenor said, stepping forward to hug Dennis.

"You’re right, Mom," Dennis replied, hugging his mother back.

"Still... seeing seven Daisys like that... it’s like looking at septuplets... even though I only gave birth to one," Martha whispered, watching the seven Daisys chatting and taking turns holding a very happy Destiny in their midst.

"Haha, you’re right... you really are lucky, Martha," Elenor said, laughing as she placed a hand on Martha’s shoulder.

"Yes... I truly am lucky," Martha replied, looking down and crying again as she covered her eyes with her hands.

Elenor immediately pulled Martha into a hug, while William simply rubbed Elenor’s back and smiled, offering his support. After a moment, Dennis stood up.

"Alright, let’s get some food," Dennis said.

"Hold on a second, son. I bought a ton of toys for Destiny earlier. Come help me grab them from the porch," William said.

"Go on then, let Martha and I handle the cooking," Elenor added, waving them off.

"She’s right... it’s been a while since we cooked for the whole family, hasn’t it?" Martha said.

"Exactly! You’re absolutely right, now is the time," Elenor replied.

With that, the two grandmothers headed into the kitchen while Dennis went out to the porch to help William with the toys, chatting as they went. Once everyone had cleared out, leaving only the seven Daisys with Destiny, Diana, Dahlia, Donna, Deborah, Dulcia, and Daphne all turned to Daisy with serious expressions.

"I’m sorry, I forgot that we aren’t all one anymore... if I’m being honest, I missed Mom and our in-laws too," Diana said.

"Me too... I’m sorry," Dahlia added.

"It didn’t even cross my mind. When we were in the council room, we forgot that we weren’t together with you anymore," Donna added.

"It’s true. Even though I remembered at first... once I saw Mom and our in-laws... all of that just vanished. Especially seeing them play with Destiny, I... I just wanted to join in," Deborah said, looking down.

"Um... I feel the same as them. I don’t need to say much... you know I’m not great at expressing feelings like this," Dulcia said.

"The point is... we all want to apologize to you, Daisy... and to our husband... we are truly lucky to have a husband like him," Daphne said, wiping away her tears.

"It’s okay... I understand. To be honest, I was worried myself, but thank God everything turned out fine. So, now we really are sisters," Daisy said.

Daisy then pulled them all into an embrace, with Destiny in the middle, wiggling around and looking happy to see her seven mothers mingled together. Then Diana, Dahlia, Donna, Deborah, Daphne, and even Dulcia began to tear up and cry, but their faces were full of joy, as if they had truly become real human beings living side by side with their family.

Once they had composed themselves, Donna and Dahlia finally headed to the kitchen to help Elenor and Martha. Diana, Deborah, and Dulcia worked together to tidy up the living room, and Daphne helped by carrying Destiny, while Daisy herself went out to join Dennis and William.

Meanwhile outside, Dennis was shocked to see the toys his father had bought: cute dolls, dress-up sets, hanging rattles for the crib, building blocks, toy kitchen sets, activity gym/playmat set, and so much more. But what really made Dennis shake his head was when William pulled a tricycle out of the car trunk.

"Come on, Dad, Destiny can’t even ride a bike yet," Dennis said.

"It’s fine, it’s for later... while I can still afford it, so don’t say no," William replied, lugging the bike onto the porch.

"Good grief... how much did all of this cost?" Dennis asked, looking at the mountain of toys scattered across the porch.

"You don’t need to know how much... as long as I’m happy, that’s the end of the story," William answered, setting the bike down.

"You’re going overboard this time, Dad," Dennis said, annoyed.

"It’s perfectly fine for my first grandchild," William shot back.

"It’s perfectly fine for my first grandchild. Instead of rambling, you’d better help me clean up all this stuff you’ve pulled out," William replied.

"Sigh... yeah, yeah," Dennis muttered, leaning over to start tidying up all the toys that had spilled out of their bags.

Daisy peeked through the slightly cracked door, smiling as she watched Dennis and William tidying up the toys together. But just as she was about to step out, she noticed William’s expression turn suddenly serious.

"Son, I’ve actually been wondering about something since knowing there’s seven Daisys. Then which one is your wife? I know they used to be one person, but they’re different now... you aren’t sleeping with all seven of them, are you?" William asked gravely.

"Thump." Hearing William’s question, Dennis dropped a toy block onto the porch floor. He stood there stunned, staring at his father’s serious face as his own turned deathly pale. He hadn’t expected such a question to pop up at all, especially from his dad, who—despite being sharp—didn’t seem like the type to ask something so blunt.

"Why are you just standing there quiet... oh my God... you are sleeping with all seven of them, aren’t you? Unbelievable," William said, easily reading Dennis’s expression as his son remained frozen in front of him, unable to say a single word.

Daisy, still behind the door, slowly and silently closed it until it clicked shut. She leaned back against the wood, her face turning bright red.

"Sorry, honey," she whispered in her heart.
