My Seven Wives in One Body and Me, her Manager

Chapter 141: Destiny, Meet Your Grandparents

A week passed, and Dennis went to pick up William, Elenor, and Martha in the southern district at the train station connected to the City of Ruby. Currently, the City of Emerald was docked with the City of Ruby for a month-long stay and remained stationary. Dennis waited inside the station, watching a long ten-car train begin to pull into the platform toward him. His face brightened slightly at the thought of finally seeing his parents and his mother-in-law in person. William had already informed Dennis that they were in the third car, so Dennis waited right in front of where that car was scheduled to stop.

A few moments later, the train rolled across the platform with a loud screeching sound as the brakes kicked in. Finally, it came to a halt, and Dennis could see the door of the third car right in front of him. The doors opened and a crowd of passengers poured out—families, people who looked like they were heading to work as they clutched briefcases and checked their watches, and several young men and women who looked like they were transferring to one of the academies in the City of Emerald. After a short wait, Dennis’s face lit up when he spotted William, looking sharp with a whitening beard and much more composed despite his age, followed by Elenor in a sundress pulling her suitcase, and Martha beside her in jeans and a casual shirt, also pulling luggage.

But Dennis’s expression shifted when he saw what William was carrying. "Oh boy," he muttered. The reason was that his father was hauling a massive amount of shopping bags—undoubtedly filled with baby clothes for Destiny—plus a backpack stuffed with ribbon-tied gifts and a bulging, brand-new duffel bag with mysterious contents. Dennis immediately approached the three of them. Their faces instantly filled with joy the moment they saw him. Elenor and Martha took turns hugging Dennis, while William simply smiled and shook Dennis’s hand, giving his shoulder a firm pat.

"Good grief, Dad, that’s a lot of luggage," Dennis said.

"That’s how it goes. All of this is for Destiny," William answered.

"I’ve already bought so many cute outfits; I hope Destiny likes them... wait, where’s Daisy?" Elenor asked.

"Yeah... why didn’t Daisy come along?" Martha added, looking around for her daughter.

"She’s at home with Destiny. Let’s head back; here, let me help you carry those," Dennis answered, taking the bags his father was holding.

"Okay, thanks, son," William replied, handing over the packages.

They walked out of the station while chatting and headed toward the parking lot where Dennis had parked his car. After loading all the luggage into the vehicle, they immediately set off toward the central district, where Dennis and Daisy’s house was located.

"Wow... the City of Emerald is really progressing... so many changes," William said, sitting in the front passenger seat with Dennis, looking out the window before facing forward.

"That’s how it is, Dad," Dennis answered as he drove.

"You’ve also changed a lot since back then, son. You’ve grown up and look much wiser than you used to. I’m truly proud of you," William said, turning to look at Dennis.

"Thanks, Dad. But you haven’t changed at all—still wise and barely saying a word, haha," Dennis replied.

"Well... it’s just how I’ve always been," William answered with a smile.

The car continued through the center, heading down the road toward the western district where Dennis and Daisy’s residential area was located. When they arrived and Dennis parked the car in the driveway, William, Elenor, and Martha were visibly impressed by the neat, clean house with its tidy front yard and freshly mowed lawn.

It was clear they were proud of what Dennis and Daisy had achieved, but suddenly their admiration came to a halt. Daisy opened the front door and stepped out onto the porch, carrying an adorable Destiny, who looked completely dazed seeing the people she usually only saw on video calls now standing right in front of her house.

"Look there, Grandma Martha—Grandma Elenor and Grandpa William have arrived," Daisy said to Destiny, introducing everyone.

"Gyaa... giggle," suddenly Destiny’s face lit up with a wide grin, her tiny hands reaching out toward her grandpa and both grandmothers. Elenor and Martha immediately let go of their suitcases and ran toward the porch with beaming faces. Daisy handed the happy-looking Destiny over to Elenor to hold.

"Oh my... we finally meet, Destiny! This is Grandma... eeek... you are just too cute," Elenor said as she held Destiny and kissed her.

Then Elenor passed Destiny to Martha, who was standing beside her; she took the baby with equal enthusiasm, even shedding a few happy tears. After that, they all went inside with Daisy. Dennis and William were still standing by the car parked in the driveway, having just finished unloading the luggage. As they prepared to carry the bags inside, Dennis looked around.

"Wait... what’s with Mom and mother-in-law? Why did they just leave their suitcases here?" Dennis asked, already lugging all the shopping bags and the backpack full of gifts.

"Forget it, just let them be. I’ll carry them in. Let’s go inside," William said.

"Alright," Dennis replied.

William took both suitcase handles and began walking toward the porch. Daisy opened the door and came out to meet him.

"Welcome, Dad," Daisy greeted, giving William a hug.

"Thank you, Daisy," William replied, hugging her back.

"Here, let me take the moms’ suitcases," Daisy added, grabbing both handles from William.

After that, Daisy went inside, pulling the two suitcases and holding the door wide open. But William stood frozen, watching Daisy go in. Dennis approached him.

"What’s up, Dad?" Dennis asked.

"Hmm... Daisy doesn’t look like someone who just gave birth. Her movements and her body are exactly the same as usual. Normally, a woman looks a bit swollen after childbirth, and her glow fades slightly as she matures. Is it just my imagination?" William muttered.

"Oh," Dennis immediately glanced at his father, who was standing beside him looking confused and deep in thought.

"You’re right, Dad, but since we’re hunters, Daisy recovered fast, haha," Dennis replied. "Damn, he’s still as sharp as ever. I forgot Dad is always like that. I hope he buys it," Dennis muttered in his heart.

"That’s true. You guys are hunters, after all; clearly different from ordinary people. Alright, let’s go in, son. I want to see your house," William replied, turning to look at Dennis.

"Okay, Dad, let’s head inside," Dennis invited, feeling slightly relieved.

Then the two of them went inside to follow Daisy and the two grandmothers, who were already sitting on the living room sofa with Destiny.

Meanwhile, in the secret council room in the basement, Diana, Dahlia, Donna, Deborah, Dulcia, and Daphne were watching a television showing footage from the surveillance cameras around the house.

On the screen, Dennis could be seen talking to William and giving him a tour of the home, all the way to the basement. This version of the council room was a far cry from the one that had existed in Daisy’s head; it now featured a refrigerator, a dedicated snack cabinet, a bathroom door, a lounge mattress, and several gaming consoles—Donna’s contribution.

Furthermore, their individual rooms were packed with their own gear, such as the whiteboards and filing cabinets in Diana’s room, weapon racks in Dahlia’s, Donna’s server hub and hacking headquarters, Deborah’s laboratory, Dulcia’s training gym, and Daphne’s book-filled sanctuary. All of these could be hidden with a single button press on the council room console—walls would flip to hide shelves, the gym would transform into a standard bedroom, and so on.

They could also travel between their rooms and the master bedroom using a dimensional pathway Deborah had installed, which looked like a teleportation tube in the corner of the council room. As they watched the screen, Dulcia, reaching into a now-empty snack bag, stood up.

"Hmm... want more snacks?" Dulcia asked, standing with her mouth full of crumbs while holding the empty wrapper.

"Grab me a drink from the fridge," Diana answered.

"Same," Dahlia added.

"Oh, by the way, which of our rooms are Dad and the two moms going to sleep in?" Donna asked.

"Hmm... my father-in-law and mother-in-law will definitely share a room, and then Mom needs her own, so that’s two rooms," Deborah mused.

"They can use mine, it’s fine," Daphne offered casually.

"They can have mine too," Dahlia added.

"No way, your room is full of weapons, Dahlia. It’ll be a mess if Dad finds out—he was already suspicious of Daisy earlier. But don’t use my room either; I don’t even have a bed in there," interrupted Dulcia, who was busy grabbing drinks from the fridge.

"Not mine either because of the server room," Donna chimed in.

"Same here, mine is a lab. Even if we hide the equipment, we can’t hide the smell. I’d feel bad for Mom and Dad," Deborah added.

Finally, everyone turned to look at Diana. Even Dulcia, as she set the drinks down in front of Diana, was staring at her. Seeing everyone looking at her expectantly, Diana finally let out a sigh.

"Fine, I get it. They can use my room. Someone let Daisy know," Diana said.

"Got it," Dahlia, Donna, Deborah, and Dulcia replied in unison.

"I’ll tell Daisy through telepathy," Daphne added.
