The sun had not yet risen and we were already preparing to continue our journey again. But before that, I made sure that no soldiers were left behind and that no items were forgotten either.

"Have you checked it again?" I asked George, and he replied with a nod.

"Yes, I've checked it, and everything is ready," he answered in a firm voice, and the two of us continued onward.

Even though the weather was dark, the cold air immediately pierced into my bones. I also felt an uncomfortable feeling, remembering that I had to find out what Farel meant last night.

The early morning wind felt colder than usual. What is actually happening in the Elf Clan? my heart wondered, because during the time I lived here, I never felt anything that made my bones feel like they were in snow.

"How much longer until we arrive there?" Farrel asked while walking right beside me, and I immediately turned toward him.

I looked at his face and I did not find anything bad about him.

"I think we will arrive tomorrow," George answered, and Farrel nodded his head.

"Yes, then I still have spirit," he said.

I was truly dizzy at this moment, like two different people. Sometimes he had ambition that was very clear in his eyes, but sometimes he was also like someone who had no anger at all.

Without realizing it, our journey had already lasted half a day, so we immediately rested for a moment to eat the food we had brought.

"Rest first. Pity the soldiers who might be hungry," I said, and he immediately raised his head and ordered his subordinates to eat first.

"Yes sir, I will do it!"

After that, only the three of us were left.

I sat on a log that was already lying on the ground and pulled out the sword that had been prepared for me from the palace.

"Is that sword from King Albert?" Farrel asked as he approached me and was about to touch my sword.

"Yes. Why?"

"It's very good. May I hold it?"

Without hesitation, I immediately handed the sword to him, and at that moment he immediately dropped the sword.

"It really feels hot," he said, but I frowned in confusion when he said such a thing about my sword.

"What's wrong?" I asked while picking up the sword that had fallen to the ground, while Farrel avoided me. I did not hear clearly what he said, so I asked again.

"Forgive me, but it seems I cannot hold it," he said. I frowned when he did not want to hold my sword, and I was about to hand it back to him again.

"Why did you drop my sword?" I asked, and he shook his head while smiling awkwardly.

"I can't hold it."

"Alright then!"

After that, I sat back down while looking at the sword the king had prepared for me.

We only rested for a short while, and at that moment we arranged a plan.

There were several of George's soldiers who could be relied on, and George, Farrel, and I were currently discussing how to enter the place where the captives were being held.

This time we had gathered. There were me, Farrel, George, and several of George's trusted subordinates. In front of us was a map showing the territory of the Elf Clan.

"You, Charles. Attack from here," he said while pointing to the northern side.

"You, Fredrick. Attack from here," he said, pointing to the eastern side.

"You, Rasya. Attack from here," he said, pointing to the western side.

"I will bring several troops that I have prepared. Then Lord Xannders and Farrel will sneak into the place where the hostages are being held," said Captain George, explaining in detail to us.

George's subordinates immediately nodded, understanding what he meant.

"How about it, do you have any suggestions from you?" George asked me, and I shook my head, then turned to Farrel to see his response.

"Wouldn't it be too dangerous if we enter?" he said.

I fell silent for a moment. Even though the Elf territory was divided into several parts, there was still the central city where several high officials lived, and there was also one large hall there. In that place, several doors had been deliberately prepared to guard against something bad happening. Because of that, the officials made many exit doors.

The hall was also very large, even able to accommodate the Elf Clan.

In front of the hall was a labyrinth, where the exit would lead directly into the palace.

The Elf Clan Hall. It was very complex and guarded by several soldiers who were experienced in war, so it would be difficult to enter, because I was sure the demon clan had also prepared everything.

"According to the spies I sent, they are currently still in the hall, and around the hall there are several official residences. One of them turns out to have a demon disguised as a tool, so it could easily provoke them to enter the hall. And likewise, the high officials were immediately killed on the spot, so civilians could not escape," George said.

I exhaled roughly after hearing George's words. If the officials had been exterminated, perhaps only a few were still alive, and even they were between life and death.

"Do you know a small path that can enter the hall?" George asked, and I remembered about the underground passage.

"Yes, I know. According to legend, there is an underground tunnel that connects to the hall, but I am not sure where the entrance is to connect to the hall."

"Isn't there also a palace in the hall?" George asked with narrowed eyes, and I nodded.

"Yes, there is, but the hall and the palace are quite far apart, so we—"

"Wait. According to you, they are in the hall, then what if they are in the palace?" That question suddenly crossed my mind when I realized that there was an Elf palace that was occupied by the human clan. The same as the human clan territory that was occupied by the Elf clan.

"So according to the captain, which part should we surround?" Charles asked with a confused face.

We fell silent.

Without waiting for their approval, I immediately hurried away from them, and on the other side, they also could not stop me.

I looked back. "Don't let anyone follow me," I said, and they all nodded simultaneously.

I went quite far away from them and looked back again to make sure that no one was following me.

I looked around, calling the bird that was always present, but I tried not to call its name so it would not be heard by others.

"Can you hear me?" I asked in a slightly loud voice, but there was no answer from the bird.

"I need your help!" I kept shouting with a slightly louder voice.

"Bird, where are you—"

The sound of birds chirping was heard. I thought it was the bird I meant, but it was not, so I took a slow breath.

The sound of wind and leaves rubbing together.

The sun was already getting higher, and I thought this was the right step to be able to enter the people who had been taken hostage by the demons.

"What is it, you called me?" it asked in its usual voice.

"Can you lower your voice?" I asked again, and it immediately turned its face to the other direction while pecking the branch where it stood.

"There is someone who can hear me. Other than you and several chosen ones," it said, and I nodded.

"Can you find out where the hostages are placed?" I asked, and it nodded, then left with very strong wing beats.

After making sure no one heard me, I hurried back to the original place.

"Did you just go to relieve yourself?" Farrel asked with his rat-like smile while teasing me, and I shook my head.

"Then why were you gone for so long?"

I patted his shoulder and told him to return to the discussion.

"It's better if we discuss again!"

After that, Farrel laughed loudly, but I stayed silent and approached George and several subordinates who were ready to fight.

"I think we should move first."

That made Charles and several others shocked.

"Aren't we still planning?" George asked, and I nodded.

"It seems we need to find out first so we know where the hostages are being held."

George nodded without opposing my order, considering that I was one of King Albert's trusted people, and he had also been ordered by Arfan to follow every command I gave him.
