Chapter 114: Tempting Me
**************
Chapter 114
~Jade’s POV~
My hands were already moving again.
I yanked Xavier’s tie loose, letting it fall somewhere between us before undoing the top buttons of his shirt, my fingers slipping inside without hesitation.
Xavier’s skin was warm under my touch, firm, and when I dragged my nails lightly across his chest, he sucked in a sharp breath.
"Jade..."
I smiled faintly, my head spinning as I leaned closer, my fingers brushing lower before I pinched his nipples.
His reaction was instant. A low, controlled breath left him, his jaw tightening as his grip on me shifted. "That’s enough."
Before I could protest, he adjusted his hold on me, lifting me properly as he moved toward his car.
I barely noticed. All through, my focus was on him.
On the way his scent surrounded me, the way his body felt against mine, the way everything inside me screamed for more.
I leaned into him again, my lips brushing his neck, my hands still exploring, refusing to stay still.. Just then the sound of hurried footsteps broke the tension. Xavier’s head snapped up, his gaze sharp as he turned slightly.
I followed his movement sluggishly.
Silver, Ziva and Adrian standing before us.
The tension shifted instantly. Adrian’s lips parted slightly. "Jade, we... we brought the change of clothes for you and—"
"Shh," Ziva cut in quickly, elbowing him. Her eyes flicked between me and Xavier, guilt flashing across her face. "We’re sorry, Professor. We just saw what happened." She gestured towards where the fight had occurred.
"She was drugged under your watch," Xavier snapped, his voice cold, cutting. "Some friends you are."
"We—" Ziva started, but stopped.
Silver’s hand closed gently around hers, stopping her.
"I apologise, Professor," he said quietly, his gaze lowering for a brief second. "It was my fault."
Xavier let out a short, humorless breath. "Exactly. And my fault too for letting her come."
Silence followed. I barely registered it, because my body burned hotter by the second, but I saw the look in Silver’s eyes.
The way they lingered on me and Xavier and the way something in them dimmed. He swallowed, then nodded once. "Please take care of her."
And just like that Silver turned and walked away.
Ziva hesitated only a second before rushing after him. Adrian muttered something under his breath before following.
Xavier didn’t wait. He reached his car, opening the door before lowering me inside carefully. The leather seat felt cool against my overheated skin, but it barely helped.
"It wasn’t their fault," I managed, my voice soft, breath uneven. "It was probably Silvie... and..." My speech slurred. "Vera... I think but..." I swallowed and smiled cheesily at him. "The one who’s most responsible is Amiiiiee..."
I gigged, throwing my head forward before smiling.
"Who? Who’s responsible for this, Jade Tell me."
The more Xavier spoke, all I could think of was how his tongue would feel between my core and whether or not it would quench the fire there or simply stoke the flames of my arousal.
"Jade."
I shook my head, trying to get serious even thoigh my burning cheek said exactly opposite. "Is you."
My words broke off. A sharp wave of heat crashed through me, stronger than before. My thighs pressed together instinctively as a soft moan slipped from my lips.
Xavier cursed under his breath. I reached for his face and pressed my lips against his, pushing my tongue between his parted lips for a hot, hungry kiss.
It was for a few seconds,a nd the next second, Xavier stopped me. I barely got the chance to whine when he pulled back completely and slammed the door shut.
Before my brain registered what was happening, the car roared to life and Xavier sped off.
I had no proper recollection of where we he drove to, but after some tortoreous minutes, the car finally came to a stop.
By the time the dor opened, I was greeted to the beautiful design of one of the best hotels in the city. Xavier waked to the passenger door, opened it and carried me out.
Everything seemed to happen in a blur but now that my fingers had latched on his outfit, all I wanted to do was try to take off Xavier’s clothes. He wasn’t having it.
To make maters worse, I hated how the receptionist stared at me like some hungry, impatient whore. And then her lustful eyes drifted to my mate.
A possessive snarl tore through my lips, making her flinch. Satisfied, I ently placed my hand on Xavier’s face and turned his head to look at me, then kissed him right there and then.
Xavier’s hold tightened. He drew in a deep breath, kissing me back fiercely. I knew he was possessive, but compared to his brothers, his control was top notch. Yet here he was, ignoring the audience we had and kissing me with so much vigour.
He pressed his forehead against mine and whispered, "Do not worry, your wish shall be granted, little wolf."
Hearing him say that, I felt my core leak out more juices. Xavier, on the othe rhand simply turned to face the lady, took his keycard and carried me to the elevator.
As soon as my feet touched the floor of the suite, I stood on my toes and kissed him again.
Xavier hand held my neck, not in a tight manner, while his left hand reached behind me to grab my ass and press my body further into his as his tongue dove into my mouth.
I groaned, melting completely against his hard frame. My fingers tangled desperately into his blond hair to anchor myself as the heavy thud of the suite door closing behind us echoed in the quiet room.
The lock clicked sharply, sealing us away from the rest of the world.
The moment that lock secured us, whatever was left of Xavier’s legendary restraint completely shattered.
He backed me up without breaking the kiss, his broad chest pressing me flush against the nearest wall. His mouth was relentless, devouring mine with a feral, possessive hunger that perfectly matched the raging fire the aphrodisiac had ignited in my veins.
I tasted mint, pure Lycan aggression, and the dark, intoxicating flavor of my mate.
"Xavier," I gasped when he finally tore his lips away to drag his open mouth down my jawline.
"You’ve been tempting me all evening," he stated, pulling back to look into my eyes. "This wasn’t how our date was supposed to go."
