Chapter 724: Fleeing from Famine 29
After fleeing to Fengling Village, Li Mujin became pregnant and gave birth to the Host.
However, Su Jingshan was always uneasy, always feeling that the Yao family would come searching, so when his Brother Geng said he liked Yuan Chun and wanted her as his daughter-in-law, Su Jingshan agreed without a second thought and even proactively sent Yuan Chun to the Geng family as a child bride.
Additionally, he secretly buried a sum of money in the Geng family’s courtyard and told the Host about it.
The Host was able to raise her two sons after her husband died, much thanks to that sum of money.
Upon hearing 007’s account, a myriad of emotions surged through Yuan Chun’s mind.
With a grim expression and gritted teeth, she said, "So, this Huo Guochang is the Host’s half-brother, but also the son of the enemy who killed the Host’s parents and husband?"
007, "..."
Host, your train of thought is too quick, I can’t keep up.
"007, I’m asking you, was Huo Guochang sent here this time because he was framed by a villain, or did he do something wrong?"
immediately perked up, "Host, why are you asking about this?"
"Just tell me."
"Host, actually Huo Guochang is a good person, he is very patriotic, he is even a great hero, he is different from his mother, and Yao Wanhua has long died."
"Shortly after Su Jingshan died, Yao Wanhua also passed away."
"After Yao Wanhua’s death, it was very difficult for Huo Guochang, a child out of wedlock, in the Huo Family. When he was young, he was almost beaten to death by Old Madam Huo."
"Huo Guochang joined the war against the Japanese when he was fifteen, during which he survived death countless times, Huo Guochang is truly a great patriot and good person, and this time he was also framed."
"Moreover, Huo Guochang always knew what his mother had done, he feels very guilty towards the Su Family, so when he was released this time, he specially used some connections to come to Fengling Village just to meet you."
"Also, Host, the matters of the Geng family in the last life were not done by Yao Wanhua, she had already died."
"If it’s not the Yao family, then who else?"
"The Host’s enemies, besides Yao Wanhua, could there be others?"
In the past life, the Geng family members all died, Yuan Chun doesn’t believe it was not orchestrated by someone.
The Host was well-known in the village for her love for her grandchildren, the Old Fan Family didn’t find families with a preference for boys to buy kids from, instead, they specifically sought out the Du family and Geng Dazhuang to buy children, Yuan Chun speculated that someone must have bribed the members of the Old Fan Family.
At this moment, Yuan Chun felt some regret for killing off all the Old Fan Family members too early.
Before killing them, she should have first interrogated the Old Fan Family members.
Oh...
Yuan Chun also didn’t expect that the Host would be burdened with so many deep-seated grudges.
"007, tell me, after Su Jingshan and Li Mujin escaped, what happened to Yao Wanhua?"
Yuan Chun wanted to unravel the threads from this matter, to find out the culprit who killed the Host’s family.
said, "Host, shortly after Su Jingshan and his wife escaped, Yao Wanhua discovered she was pregnant, she didn’t dare tell her family, secretly sent people to search for Su Jingshan’s whereabouts, but all in vain."
"Later, when the child was three months old and her pregnancy was becoming visible, Yao Wanhua couldn’t bear to abort the child, so she secretly found her follower, Fifth Young Master Huo, and made him take the blame."
"After marriage, Fifth Young Master Huo was very good to Yao Wanhua, also hiding the fact that the child in Yao Wanhua’s belly wasn’t his, but Huo Guochang grew to resemble Su Jingshan too much, Su Jingshan had once worked for the Huo family as a carriage guard, the Huo family knew him, when Huo Guochang grew to increasingly resemble Su Jingshan, the Huo family knew Huo Guochang wasn’t Fifth Young Master Huo’s son."
