Beyond M-Eclipse: Easy Mode LIVE

Chapter 136: Fun and Violent

———Karra———

<9: 03 am>

“Alright, chat. We’re live!” I said while looking at the camera with some excitement. This time not standing on top of a roof of an abandoned building or anything like that. Today we’re starting out simple in a park all covered in snow. Not really snowing or anything, but it’s not exactly warm enough to melt them off.

{Welcome back!}

{Hello}

{Hi}

{What’s up}

{You actually doing something crazy today?}

{Wow it’s been a while since you actually do more than one stream per week}

“Hey everyone. Good to see you here.” I said with a confident smile. I need to make sure there’s no blunder or any sign of weakness today if I want this to be a generational stream.

First off. Let’s start things off with a poll like the last stream, no suggestions this time around, just stuff we have planned beforehand.

“Okay chat. Let’s cut to the chase. I’m feeling a bit adventurous today. I know you all don’t have a lot to do today, being the holidays and all. I ought to give you guys something fun to watch. Now choose a place.” I said before opening up the poll and letting them see the options.

{What’s all this?}

{Huh? I thought you live in Pennsylvania???}

“We’ll be doing something fun today. A world tour! …Or rather, just a USA tour. I can move around nearby states pretty quickly. You think going to a different city was big? You’re about to see the real deal.” I confidently stated before sitting down on the bench, the camera positioned to capture me from the side. “Talk amongst yourself where you want me to go. As you can tell, these are all just general areas, but I do have a few places planned for each. Maybe go for food, get some souvenirs, and maybe even the local dungeon. Who knows? What place has the most cool stuff for me to see?”

{Anyone from anywhere near here?}

{Any locals gonna advertise it?}

{Hey ain’t the lower two options notorious for gang violence?}

{Isn’t most places kinda violent anyway?}

{Are there even any good tourist locations open with all the repairs?}

{I think she’ll be fine against gangs and all that crap}

{Can’t you specify a bit more aside from the capital of each state? Don’t some have those monster lands or whatever?}

{Kinda vague ain’t it?}

{What are you gonna do when you go there?}

{How are you going there?}

Some commented with concerns while the others aren’t sure if the decisions will lead to anything interesting.

I get why that is. Just strutting into a new place without any plan is a pretty bad idea, but Wiina already compiled a list of areas for me already, and not enough people are gonna care about the apparent lack of plan to make a fuss. I want to keep any plans and decisions a secret to build suspense and surprise.

“Okay you guys. Just stop complaining and believe in me a bit more, will ya? I’m the one doing all this shit. You guys aren’t the ones with their lives on the line.” I said somewhat mockingly just to get a bit of reaction from the chat. Need to play up the more cocky and confident persona for the stream. A more passive-sounding voice isn’t gonna be as sticky. “Heck. You guys didn’t even bother asking how in the world am I even getting across states. I don’t exactly live near the borders of any of these states. Going to New Jersey or Delaware or Maryland isn’t gonna be anywhere nearly as impressive."

{Oh right. I forgot}

{what even is your plan for that?}

{marathon stream}

{any expert in the chat not worried about their comment being drowned out?}

{I mean it shouldn’t take long as your speed?}

“<Are you going to be traveling to more than one location?>” A voice message rang out. Now that is what I want to hear. Good way to transition into my next point.

“Of course. I didn’t pick all of these places just for one to be used. Here’s the plan, once this vote is over and I travel there and do many things to entertain you guys, we will do another poll. Also, thanks for the three dollars.” I said with a confident smile. Speaking of dollars, there have been people paying for membership and such. Can’t exactly name-drop everyone, especially some with particularly dirty names. Good thing I at least have something automated to notify the stream of new members and other donations.

{Yeesh this is gonna be long}

{Hope you at least fill the traveling time with ads for extra money lol}

{So what are you even actually doing?}

{Tell us the plan already!}

“You guys are so impatient. The poll isn’t even over yet.” I said before taking an exaggerated sigh as I stood up and walked towards the road. I should at least move around a bit just to give some semblance of things happening. “It’s not like you guys are outdoors where the temperature has been the lowest it has been for a few years by now.”

I have the camera look up at the rather cloudy and sunless sky. Certainly not a weather that is nice and warm.

“It feels like it could snow again any minute now. Never a big fan of snowfall.” I said before shifting the camera back to normal position. “Alright everyone. Four minutes left until the poll closed. If you know some famous places you wanna see on camera you better vote now.”

{The heck am I supposed to choose?}

{Hey! Who the fuck is picking the one with a bunch of criminal gangs running around!?}

{Wait. Which one are you talking about?}

{Why are some of you complaining like some paranoid parents lol}

{How do you guys even decide where she should go with how little she’s telling us?}

{Dice roll is good enough for me}

{Would there be food tour I wonder}

{Hope she doesn’t get mugged right on stream. As if that doesn’t happen enough as is?}

{Would there be dungeon stuff or what}

“<What will you do if you get into a fight?>” Someone pays for a voice message. What does this person think they are, one of my parents?

“It’s the obvious choice, of course.” I vaguely state while walking around and waiting for the result.

{huh???}

{What the heck is that answer}

{Is it murder?}

{Running away?}

{well ain’t that vague and tiny bit scary}

“Hope you all stay around until the end of the stream. I’m gonna be doing a lot of crazy stuff if it all goes to plan, or maybe even if it doesn’t.” I said with a confident grin as I walked towards an abandoned area no one really wanders around anymore. There is a barricade not letting me go further into the woods, but I wasn’t planning on exploring whatever is in there anyway. Last I checked, nothing suspicious has been happening there.

“Looks like the results are in!” I announced once the poll finally closed. Now let’s see the result… It’s the farthest option… “Would you look at that! Guess I’ll be doing one hell of a travel stream today! Even sprinting and jumping at full speed is gonna take a while!”

{Then why is that an option!?}

{Oh so that’s why people were picking it}

{how you gonna go there before the day is over?}

“Glad to see some enthusiasm in those comments. Let’s cut to the chase here.” I said while looking around. I’m now in an area with no one around and I want to make sure it stays that way. Can’t have people crashing into the stream right now for the reveal.

*Hover* *Floating*

{Is the camera floating?}

{Wait is she floating?}

{Weird why does the drone pov look weird?}

{Sounds like someone is new to the stream here}

{Wait are you actually flying right now??}

The realization creeps in among the viewers that I am in fact floating. Staying rather stable in the air and keeping my posture even without the ground supporting me.

“That’s right, ladies, gentlemen, and everything in-between. Here’s a plot twist for you. I can fly!” I said before having the camera move around to make it clear this is no trick of the camera. I slowly fly up alongside the drone, getting high up above the town and get a view of it on the stream to show off the scope of this ability of mine.

{What da heck}

{wow this is cool}

{How fast can you fly?}

{THIS is how you’re gonna travel?}

{She’s her own personal plane lmao}

{I know there has been talk of people being able to fly but this is surreal…}

“<How hard is it to learn how to fly?>” A voice message comes in. Such an easy question to anticipate.

“Oh, it’s pretty darn hard. You need a lot of mana and mana control in order to even have the ability for it. You then have to learn a few more things like manipulating your own gravity and air resistance, to some other esoteric stuff. Fun fact, if you are a species with wings you can learn about it much easier. I don’t know the specifics for it all so just play around I guess.” It’s definitely one of those types of power that relies more on ‘feel’ than ‘logic’. It’s why Wiina doesn’t even bother telling me about it in full.

{Aren’t bird people pretty rare?}

{yeah good luck to anyone with those cumbersome looking thing}

“Anyway. We got our answer. Looks like you guys want me to actually go to the farthest location! Too bad for anyone thinking it’s gonna turn this stream into a marathon!” I said before starting the flight, heading right towards the city at high speed.

<9: 22 am>

“...You know. I think we should’ve expected that.” I said while scratching my head. Of course she knows how to fly. Having friends that can do it too she probably has more than a few reference points. Not to mention how much raw power she has. “Dammit! I want that…”

“I mean. Surely we can get there at some point, right? If she can do it before the year is even over…” Glery said, clearly trying to lift my mood up.

“You’re talking about those super prodigies! Of course they get it in such a short amount of time. We’re not even half the strength of some of them, let alone her!” I said out in frustration. “Haaa… I really wanna know how to fly…”

I look at the footage of her flying across the sky with ease with envy. A reasonable amount, I would say. I know some people like Wiina and some of the teachers from outside of town can fly, but to think that someone who definitely doesn’t know about magic until the rest of the world… No, there are other three people in her class that already know how to do it, of course she can. I shouldn’t forget about that particular fact.

“I’m sure you’ll get it at some point.” Glery said, just mainly focusing on the stream itself without batting an eye.

“You could’ve gotten it faster than me and then show me the ropes.” I pointed out. She should be able to outgrow me with her better potential than I do. She is nowhere nearly as motivated, but the gap between us is pretty marginal.

“I-I don’t think that’s possible.” She said while stuttering a bit. Well, if she doesn’t have the motivation, then I just have to abandon that idea. I’m not gonna force her to do something she doesn’t want to do.

“Okay then.” I said, not wanting to make it seem like I would press her further on this particular topic. “I’ll go get us some snacks then. This looks like it’ll be a long stream.”

<11: 12 am>

“The hell do you think you’re doing, coming into our neighborhood?" One of the thugs said while looking at me with a creepy grin, wielding a spiked bat.

{Uh oh}

{Turn the stream off! Turn it off!}

{So what’s their power level?}

Some are concerned about me while some want to see some bloodshed.

“Oh. Just looking around. I didn’t realize that’s illegal in this day and age.” I said, completely unfazed by the huge swat of thugs surrounding me with various weapons. “How about I say sorry and we go on our way?”

“Hah! You’ll say sorry alright!” He said before pulling out a gun.

*Bang*

“...Hah!?” He seems confused by the lack of damage on me. A gun isn’t ineffective, if there’s more than one pointing at me.

*Sizz*

“Time for all of you to die.” I playfully said as a wall of fire completely surrounded us, making the area extremely bright and hot. Now this is a temperature I’m quite fond of.

*Dash* *Smash* *Punch* *Kick* *Smack* *Kick* *Strike*

———Lynda———

<11: 15 am>

“U-Uh… What the hell?” I know she was gonna beat the shit out of them, but that was way quicker than I thought. The camera managed to capture the fight pretty well even though she is moving at such an extremely high speed.

Glery meanwhile doesn’t really emote at the fight itself, but she is focusing on the ‘choreography’ of her kicking those thugs’ asses.

She sure uses fire often, even though I’m pretty sure she had used other elements before.

“<Sorry folks. It’s for the content.>” She smugly said after dispelling the wall of flames, the camera panning out to show off all the thugs collapsed on the floor, barely able to move and reeling in pain. Thankfully she doesn’t actually intend on killing anyone. “<Okay! Let’s go get some food. Let’s see here, the local delicacies around here should be…>”

One hell of a transition. She definitely knows that she would get in trouble, which is why her composure is so on point.

So seemingly she might end up fighting more people once this section is over and she goes somewhere else.

The view count is rising quite a lot, now in the nine thousands and counting up. She is probably cheering to herself loudly in her mind at this point.

*Knock* *Knock*

“Come in!” I shouted out upon hearing someone knocking on my door.

“Lyn, do you want anything in particular for lunch today? We’ll go shopping today.” Mom said as she walked in.

“...Glery, want do you want?” I don’t really crave anything today, so I’m good on that front.

“...Really spicy soup.” She said quietly while her eyes are still glued to the stream.

“You heard her. Get something spicy, or can be spicy.” I conveyed the message to Mom, who might have not heard her with how quiet she is being.

“Alright then. Hope you two have fun and don’t miss us!” Mom cheerfully said before walking out of the room.

…Hopefully she at least brought a lot of spicy ingredients. Last time she tried making something spicy, it still felt pretty mild.

<3: 02 pm>

“Rather unfortunate, isn’t it.” I said to her with more dramatics than needed.

“Yeah.” She flatly said before taking another sip of the soup. “The soup is still way too plain.”

“I… Nevermind.” I was talking about the comment Karra made earlier. I can elaborate on that later. She is fixating hard on this right now. Looks like she’s about to end the stream soon, let’s not interrupt.

“<Okay. Chat. Tell me how much fun you guys have. Type it down, vote in a poll. Tell me everything.>” She said while on the trip back to town, leisurely floating in the air.

The chat exploded with all sorts of reactions, and the poll is mostly positive. With how many people are in her chat right now, it’s only natural that everything is moving so fast. It’s gonna be hard for her to keep track. A few hundred thousands is not an easy number to manage.

“<Okay. Guys. Enough. I’ll look at those later. Thanks for all the support. It looks like we’re reaching the end here, so I need to say something before logging off.>” She said before slowing down and landing back somewhere that doesn’t have people start hounding her. “<That was fun and all, but being a one-woman show is not easy. And I haven’t been doing a tiring workout either. You know what I think?>”

I… don’t really know what she’s actually gonna say? It could be anything.

“<...Anyone here ballsy enough to appear on stream with me? We’ll go kill some monsters later. I’ll accept a few people to join. Later!>” Huh!? And she just logged off immediately after saying all that!?
