Chapter 79: Carnage III
Chapter 79: Carnage III
Poverty. For some, it was all they knew.
For Valiant, it was all he knew.
In the stands of the Rustblood Circuit Arena.
As explosions and screams rang out all around, a young man with no cybernetic mods was lying back on a seat, his hand clutching onto the lifeless body of his sister.
Valiant held his sister, who was currently missing her lower half after the Masked Interstellar Beast Masters came down, ripped the ceiling off the Rustblood Circuit Arena, and rained down a storm of golden lightning that cut across human bodies like a meat grinder.
Valiant’s sister happened to be unlucky enough to be caught in it as...this was their first time coming to the Rustblood Circuit Arena.
His sister had begged him.
Said they were always so careful across the Hollow Stacks, that they never had fun.
Just this once, let them go to the Rustblood Circuit Arena and watch some matches to have fun.
Just this once.
And it turned out to be the last.
As he held her lifeless body with a face showing shock and horror, Valiant wiped the tears streaming down his face as he looked toward the center of the arena, asking...why?
Why were so many lying dead all around?
Why so many others injured?
He didn’t have to wait for long before the Masked Interstellar Beast Master who was decimating everything in the center of the arena called out.
"You all kill whenever you feel like it in the Skyglass Heights. Why can’t I kill today? And..."
Skyglass Heights?
They were Glassblood Beast Masters? They came and did all of this because...!
Valiant’s body trembled as he heard such reasoning, and he couldn’t help but wail as he clutched his dead sister!
They had nothing to do with the conflict of Glassblood Beast Masters and Stackborn Beast Masters!
They were just nobodies trying to live and survive by any means necessary in the Hollow Stacks!
And yet...
"Why?!"
...!
"WHY?!"
He howled out in pain until all that he felt left behind...was rage.
Rage as he looked toward the Glassblood Interstellar Beast Masters, cowards enough to not even reveal their faces.
As he clutched his dead sister, he wished and hoped.
He hoped that one day, this Masked Interstellar Beast Master would be ripped to shreds just like he had done to so many others here!
He wished this, but he also knew that Glassbloods...got away with everything.
So what could possibly happen to these Glassbloods today for them to actually get any sense of retributio...!
BOOM!
In the midst of the cold voice of the Glassblood Beast Master, a terrifying sonic boom was heard as a silver glow flashed.
And the Masked Beast Master crackling with lightning instantly turned around as something akin to a speeding train smashed into him!
Something gloriously silver.
Something powerful.
PAH!
Silver and gold clashed as, shockingly, the silver overwhelmed the gold, the figure of the Symbiotic Resonance Interstellar Beast Master smashed into actually flung back as it hit the walls of the Rustblood Circuit Arena!
...!
The scene was so shocking and different compared to the carnage that had been happening this whole time, it caused everyone to pause and take a breath!
And in the stands.
Injured and clutching a corpse, Valiant wondered...was that the retribution of the Glassblood Interstellar Beast Masters?
Was this someone who might actually be able to stand against powerful Glassbloods?!
Valiant’s eyes burned as, near him,
The head of another Stackborn peeked out amidst the destruction as he held his phone out, his screen blinking red.
He pointed the phone toward the battle below as he...was livestreaming the whole carnage occurring all around.
—
BOOM!
Damian felt the resistance and subsequent impact of the Masked Symbiotic Resonance Interstellar Beast Master right after, knowing that the Entropic Energy Values Kitsuul held, and what he held at this moment...were vast enough to overcome this Beast Master.
And since that was the case, he would give them the same taste of terror and death, as when he looked around in the audience stands, hundreds lay dead and torn!
Why did the Glassblood Beast Masters find it so easy to butcher Stackborn?!
Why did they not even consider them humans enough to value their lives, and just came down and killed them as if they were nothing?!
"WHY?!"
BOOM!
His figure shot out to the shocked companion of the Masked Beast Master crackling with lightning, her power being much lesser than even the other one, as Damian’s hand shot toward her like claws!
She scrambled to pull back and get away while her arms glowed with a poisonous green light.
And yet Damian’s own hands glowed a glorious silver that pushed that green light away, his arms acting like pincers as they grabbed onto the outstretched right hand of the Masked Beast Master!
BOOM!
CRACK!
The impact caused another sonic boom, as if two missiles smashed into each other, and a crack could be heard followed by a shocked scream from the Masked Beast Master as...
RIIP!
An arm was disconnected and torn from a shoulder!
...!
"Ah...!"
The Masked Beast Master was incredulous and horrified.
"You! Lowly! Stackborn!"
BOOM!
From the distance, golden lightning crackled madly as the Lead Masked Beast Master charged back like a wild beast, his power fully unfolding as Damian actually ignored it while focusing on the Beast Master he had injured before him.
He threw down the torn arm as he called out to Kitsuul.
Through their bridge of a connection.
Through her terrifying power.
And...
WAP!
He turned invisible right after as he disappeared entirely.
The lightning that was crashing down all around this area...did nothing to him, as his body could even phase through it.
And in such a terrifying state, he came up behind the shocked and terrified Beast Master who had her hand torn.
He looked at her figure that was looking around for him, and he covered his hands with sharp silver brilliance...before he proceeded to swing them down on the neck of this Masked Beast Master like axes!
...!
SHIING!
To the eyes of others.
In the next moment, the head of a Masked Interstellar Beast Master flew cleanly off as silver brilliance erupted from a neck.
Decapitated.
A horror-inducing event, as the moment the head flew, the silver blast of light also caused the mask on this Beast Master to fly off.
And a face of horror and shock was made clear to all.
It was...a known Glassblood Beast Master.
A known Guardian!
"Theresa!!!"
A cry of shock and horror echoed out from the Masked Beast Master crackling with lightning as the identity of a known Guardian was released, but this time, it was as her head was decapitated from her body!
