Chapter 67: Anomaly II
Chapter 67: Anomaly II
Anastasia had her rage, but she also knew her limits. After defeating the Widowmaker, she didn’t continue to blaze too brilliantly. After another fight, one that summoned a Cybernetic Beastmaster with a poorly Modified Elephant...
"Well, this is a load of bullshit, is it not?!"
The roars of HAO rang out at the displayed results- showing a Cybernetic Beast Master with his chest caved in, and the poor Elephant, just a normal animal and in no way a stellar beast...beginning to rampage all around the Arena madly.
"Ahem! The Blood Witch came and conquered, and we give her her props, and now I’ve got to send out drones to kill a poor elephant... I love my job!"
The Hostile Arena Operator screeched out as Anastasia already began to walk out of the Arena.
"Oh?! Blood Bitch, you don’t want another match? Think of the Credits! The poor, lonely credits!"
The Hostile Arena Operator called for her, but she didn’t pay any attention. She simply waved her hand back nonchalantly as she left, leaving behind a booing crowd.
Getting back on the upper floor, she claimed her Credits and her items and devices, and proceeded to actually go to the highest floors of the Rustblood Circuit Arena where the VIPs were as she reserved the private room all to herself.
Getting out her laptop and other devices, she quickly had a setup ready as she began to see just how fortified and secure the servers of this place were.
These were the Hollow Stacks.
If they could infiltrate the security of ZENTHRA, surely this couldn’t actually stand in her way, right?
She stretched her body and cracked her fingers as she thought of the man who introduced her to the possibility of revenge- and even the chance to take the Natural Nanotech Blood Serums.
She remembered his eyes that seemed to burn with rage, and yet...there was always calmness and courage she could never have.
She remembered how his body felt when-...!
"No."
She said the word out loud.
As if to remind herself, loud and clear.
That was the man who married her sister.
And she wasn’t some girl in a fairytale. She lived in the real world.
And in the real world, there was only blood left for her.
Only blood- and vengeance.
As she thought of this, she became entirely focused, her fingers tapping away, her body still pulsing with power. She knew she might just make a habit of coming down to this Arena to let loose her rage whenever she needed to.
Until the day came when she could use her own hands to rip apart the Drunken Butcher!

KAA!
The cry of a Flaming Eagle Archaeopteryx boomed across the skies as its claws left jagged, bleeding cuts on the body of the Anaconda. The Symbiotic Resonance Entropic Beast roared out as its jaws opened to release a cloud of venom!
A cloud that the Flaming Eagle Archaeopteryx ignited with a fireball- and when the floating Anaconda beat its bony wings to search for it...the Interstellar Beast was already behind its back, its beak releasing lava-like flames that latched onto the entire body of the Anaconda.
Screeches of pain erupted instantly as, shockingly, the skin of the Anaconda began to melt and simmer- its life force fading rapidly!
The Interstellar Beast of Guardian Flameborn...was that powerful!
And of course it was.
Damian affirmed this as he looked at its Entropic Energy Values.
[22,875 Entropic Energy Value – Tier II Symbiotic Resonance Interstellar Beast]
22,875 Energy Values.
That was nearly four times as much as the Anaconda displayed. The beast was outmatched by four times.
So shockingly, its skin and muscle and bone were scorched and melted by the raining lava from the Flaming Eagle Archaeopteryx, as its body fell from the skies and smashed into the dreary red earth.
The majestic cry of the Eagle echoed again as it eyed the swarm of Initiate Entropic Beasts and swooped down like a jet, its jaws unleashing more lava-like flames beneath- scorching anything they touched.
The Trial Guardians stared at this scene in shock as they saw the discrepancy between their power and the power of a genuine Guardian.
The stages between Initiate and Symbiotic Resonance Interstellar Beast Masters...were this drastic?
"Don’t sit there looking stupid—those with long-distance Beasts, help clear these weak ones!"
Guardian Flameborn roared while closing her eyes and breathing in. Then she opened them again, raising her hand as, from her palm...balls of fire began to rise.
...!
As if she were a Beast herself, capable of commanding the elements.
Everyone watched with rapt attention as fireballs formed over her palms, and she hurled them out like sizable bombs- each one exploding and killing at least three Tier III Initiate Entropic Beasts per shot.
It was an exemplary display of power. The Trial Guardians could barely keep up as they launched their own attacks.
Damian continued to talk with Kitsuul- and at this time, he received a single, drastic message.
A big one is coming! After this burst, my growth spurt will come!
Kitsuul’s words rang out as the invisible storm of Entropic Energy surged another octave. The surroundings grew incredibly thick with power, even Guardian Flameborn sensing the change as she looked around!
But the only change truly worth their notice was the fact that—at that very same moment...
Coincidentally or not...
The tear in the sky that had spat out a single Symbiotic Resonance Entropic Beast now flashed with brilliance- and widened.
Guardian Flameborn looked to the skies.
Damian sighed...and looked up, too.
And there.
From the tear in space...
One aura after another blazed, flowing out with glory and power. And they very clearly revealed their standing as Symbiotic Resonance Entropic Beasts!
Guardian Flameborn stared at the skies, now spilling Symbiotic Resonance Entropic Beasts, and sighed as tendrils of flame gathered around her.
High in the sky, the Flaming Eagle Archaeopteryx rose even higher- plucking off any weak Symbiotic Resonance Entropic Beasts, and the one responsible for causing all this...
BZZT!
Felt the bridge between Kitsuul and himself become intricately built. He knew, in the next moment, that a massive power boost was coming.
And silent, silver brilliance began to pulse from her small figure. From behind her...a tiny, seventh tail began to bloom, joining the other six!
A transformation was starting.
And it had to be masked and veiled- right in front of multiple Guardians, inside a Rift that had just become anomalous.
