Orion Osborne’s gaze fell on her subtle movement. He asked, "Is your stomach upset?"

"No!" Claire Sinclair immediately denied it. "Do we really have to wait eighteen days before we can go up?"

Orion Osborne nodded.

"Mr. Quincy must be worried sick..." Claire Sinclair muttered. ’And I don’t even know who kidnapped me and brought me here. What if they find me hiding here?’

Orion Osborne seemed to see right through her worries and said reassuringly, "As long as you don’t take off your mask, no one will dare to harm you."

Claire Sinclair suddenly looked up, meeting his gaze. "Then, can you get my watch and phone back for me? I... I... I’m begging you!"

"I’ll have to look for them a bit later. I have something to take care of shortly."

"Alright then..." Claire Sinclair looked around again. The huge suite was cold and deserted, lacking any sign of life. Even with the lights on, it felt a little sinister.

Orion Osborne handed her a glass of warm water. "There’s food in the fridge. If you get hungry, grab something and heat it up."

"Are you leaving?" Claire Sinclair looked up hastily, the anxiety in her heart welling up again.

Orion Osborne raised his hand and gently smoothed her hair, his tone softening. "While I’m gone, don’t open the door, no matter who knocks. If someone tries to force their way in, use this on them."

As he spoke, a small pistol appeared in his hand, and he pressed it into hers.

Claire Sinclair looked down, and her heart clenched.

Without another word, Orion Osborne turned and left.

Claire Sinclair hurriedly called out, "Wait!"

A charming smile played on Orion Osborne’s lips. "The only thanks I accept," he said, "is you giving yourself to me."

Adrian Quincy’s eyes narrowed. He shot to his feet, startling everyone in the room.

"To find Claire," he tossed out, leaving without a backward glance.

Everyone hurried after him, shouting to stop him. "Young Master Quincy, everyone is already out looking for the Young Madam! You just need to wait for news!"
