Chapter 417 - 407: From Today Onwards, No More Du Family in Demon Capital!
WHOOSH!
At the sound of footsteps, Du Tianyu stopped crying and Du Zhengxu stopped shouting. Father and daughter turned in unison to look outside the hospital room, their faces revealing a sliver of hope shining through the depths of despair. However, this glimmer of hope lasted less than five seconds before it vanished like smoke, replaced by an even darker, more profound despair.
A dozen young men ran into the room. The one in the lead approached Qin Fan and asked, his voice trembling with apprehension, "Are you Mr. Qin?"
"Yes," Qin Fan replied with a faint smile and a slight nod.
"Greetings, Mr. Qin!"
At Qin Fan’s confirmation, the leader waved his hand. The group of young men bowed in unison and shouted their greeting. Afterward, the leader stepped forward again. "Mr. Qin, we were sent by Master Chang. Please give us your instructions!"
"How did you get up here?" Qin Fan asked. He was just wondering why Du Zhengxu’s bodyguards hadn’t rushed up after the woman fell.
"Mr. Qin, there are three middle-aged men guarding the floor below!" the youth reported. "I told them I was here to see you, and they let me pass. As for the Du Family’s bodyguards and the hospital security, they all tried to force their way up, but those three took them all down!"
Qin Fan couldn’t help but chuckle. Well, well. Those three Dark Energy guys are pretty sharp after all.
He shook his head. "Alright, I’m sure Chang Yuanyi told you what’s going on. Du Tianyu is here. You’ll take her with you when you leave. Do whatever you want with her. Don’t hold back. After today, the Du Family will no longer exist in this city."
Do whatever we want?
At these words, the young men’s blood began to boil. They all fixed their gazes on Du Tianyu, their eyes blazing with lust, their veins pulsing with excitement. "No, no, no!" Du Tianyu’s delicate body trembled violently, as if she were having a seizure. She could already see her fate, and she began to scream frantically.
"Thank you, Mr. Qin!" The leader, who had already been briefed by Chang Yuanyi, licked his lips and swallowed hard as he sized up Du Tianyu.
Just then, one of the young men unexpectedly broke from the group and stepped toward Qin Fan. To everyone’s astonishment, he said, "Mr. Qin, I have a favor to ask, though I know it’s out of line."
"Speak," Qin Fan said, an amused look on his face.
"I want to beat Du Zhengxu to a pulp!" the youth blurted out.
"Why?" Qin Fan asked, his interest piqued.
"Four years ago, I was the son of a wealthy family! But Du Zhengxu set a trap and swallowed my father’s company. After that, my father never recovered. He drowned his sorrows in alcohol and eventually died from poisoning on the street. The shock of it all was too much for my mother; she suffered a mental breakdown and died from depression less than a year later. For all these years, I’ve been looking for a chance to take Du Zhengxu down with me! But I could never get close to him. Mr. Qin, can you give me this chance? I want to finally bring peace to my parents’ spirits!"
As the youth finally voiced the words he had suppressed for years, he burst into tears, his companions staring at him in disbelief. An eerie silence fell over the room. Just as the young man managed a bitter smile, ready to apologize for his outburst, Qin Fan spoke.
"You want to kill him?"
"Yes!" the youth answered without a moment’s hesitation.
"And you dare to kill him?" Qin Fan pressed.
"I dare!"
"Here," Qin Fan said, not giving it a second thought as he handed over the Hemp Vine Whip. "Take this and whip him to death. Right now."
"Nolan!"
"Nolan!"
"Nolan!"
His companions cried out in shock.
But the youth, Nolan, seemed not to hear them. He didn’t immediately take the whip. Instead, he dropped to his knees before Qin Fan. "Thank you, Mr. Qin! I, Nolan, will never forget this kindness!"
THUD!
With that, he kowtowed, his forehead hitting the floor with a heavy sound.
The youth stood up and took the Hemp Vine Whip from Qin Fan’s hands. Without a second thought, his face twisted into a mask of boundless ferocity as he raised his arm and brought the whip down on Du Zhengxu.
CRACK!
"AHHHH!"
The whip tore open skin and flesh, and Du Zhengxu, still on the floor, howled in excruciating pain.
"Dad! Dad! No! You demons! You’re all demons! Let my dad go! Stop hitting him, please stop!" Du Tianyu shrieked, watching the scene unfold in a mad frenzy.
The leader, seemingly unable to tolerate her shrill, miserable cries, brutally reached into her clothes, yanked out her bra, and stuffed it into her mouth. Instantly, Du Tianyu’s muffled sobs mingled with the sharp cracks of the whip and Du Zhengxu’s agonized screams, filling the entire hospital room.
Three minutes passed.
Five minutes.
Seven minutes.
Du Zhengxu’s screams began to weaken.
At the ten-minute mark, he went completely silent.
But Nolan didn’t stop. Even though Du Zhengxu was dead, he continued to flog the corpse. Another five minutes passed before he finally stopped, perhaps from sheer exhaustion. After crouching down to confirm that Du Zhengxu was no longer breathing, Nolan suddenly turned to face the floor-to-ceiling windows and fell to his knees.
Clutching his head, he let out a mournful, cathartic roar. "Dad! Mom! You can rest in peace! I killed that old bastard Du Zhengxu! I’ve avenged you! I’ve avenged you!" His roar faded, and he collapsed onto the cold floor, weeping uncontrollably.
In response, Qin Fan silently let out a breath. I know exactly how he feels. He crouched down, picked up the Hemp Vine Whip, and scanned the group of youths Chang Yuanyi had sent. "Du Tianyu is all yours," he said. "Remember my only condition: make her wish she were dead. And don’t worry, there will be no loose ends or trouble for any of you."
With that, he put away the Hemp Vine Whip and strode out of the room.
Du Zhengxu is dead. Du Tiancong is crippled. Du Tianyu is about to be dragged into the Hell Abyss. From this day forward, the Du Family is finished. My goal is achieved. All the grudges from my past life are settled the moment I step out of this hospital room.
Not a hint of joy or sorrow showed on his expressionless face.
His steps were even and steady as he walked to the elevator and pressed the button for the first floor.
DING!
The doors opened. Just as Qin Fan was about to step out, he froze. His brow furrowed instantly.
In front of him stood a middle-aged man, his hands clasped behind his back. The man’s back was to the elevator as he gazed up at the wall displaying the hospital’s senior physicians’ credentials. At his feet, the three Dark Energy Martial Artists were kneeling, clutching their chests and trembling in pain. When they saw Qin Fan, they cried out in a panic, "Master Qin!"
"All finished?" the middle-aged man asked nonchalantly, his voice calm. He didn’t turn around, his gaze remaining on the wall.
Qin Fan glanced at the three injured Martial Artists, then took out three Elixirs and tossed them on the floor. "Take these and leave."
"Thank you, Master Qin!" We don’t know what these dark little pills are, but with Master Qin’s status, he would never harm us. With this thought, the three men scrambled to pick up the Elixirs and swallow them. They shot one last fearful glance at the middle-aged man’s back before clenching their teeth and stumbling out of the building.
