Chapter 404 - 934: Do him!
What’s going on? What is this?
Jiang Yino was completely dumbfounded.
These guys covered in dragon and phoenix tattoos, obviously gangsters, are kneeling to Qin Fan? And begging for mercy, calling him ’Big Bro’?
Suddenly, Jiang Yino vividly recalled the sensational ’thorn apology’ incident that had taken the campus by storm. Isn’t this bald guy one of the people from that video?
"You’re the one from Jinling University, aren’t you? The one who was apologizing with thorn branches on his back?" Jiang Yino blurted out, staring at his shiny bald head.
"Yes, yes, beautiful lady, that was me! It was me and my big bro that day! I’m sorry, so sorry! I was a blind fool to have offended you both again. Please, I hope you can spare me this one time!" the little bald guy begged, his voice thick with tears as if he were about to prostrate himself.
"Qin Fan, this is...?" Jiang Yino’s lips twitched as she turned to him.
"Hm? What do you think we should do with him?" Qin Fan asked with a smile.
Hearing this, the little bald guy was so scared he nearly wet himself.
"Let it go. It’s not a big deal. It’s better not to get involved with people like this," Jiang Yino urged, biting her lip.
At this point, a thousand questions were swirling in her mind. What on earth was the connection between Qin Fan’s roommates in Room 708 and these thugs? First, there was the public apology on their knees at the campus. And now this. What exactly happened in between?
"Alright." Qin Fan, who couldn’t be bothered with these small fries anyway, nodded with a smile. He looked at the little bald guy and said, "Get up."
"Thank you, Big Bro! Thank you!" As if granted a full pardon, the little bald guy hastily scrambled to his feet, his body still trembling.
"Watch where you’re going from now on," Qin Fan said, shaking his head at the man’s comical state.
"Yes, yes, Big Bro, I’ll remember your teachings! I’ll keep a low profile from now on, a very low profile! Big Bro, can I ask you for one more thing? Please, whatever you do, don’t let my big bro find out about this! If he does, I’m toast!" the little bald guy pleaded, trembling with fear.
He may have dodged a bullet this time, but if the big bald guy found out, another world of pain was surely waiting for him.
But Qin Fan just shook his head, completely ignoring his pleas. Let his brother know? He’s thinking too much.
"Let’s go, Yinuo," Qin Fan said softly, tightening his grip on her soft hand.
"Mm," Jiang Yino hummed in agreement, a blush creeping up her cheeks as she felt the pressure from his hand.
SCREECH!
Just as the two of them were about to walk away, a Porsche 718 screeched to a halt right in front of them. Qin Fan and Jiang Yino instinctively turned their heads. The car window rolled down, revealing a face that was somehow familiar to Qin Fan, though he couldn’t quite place it.
"Well, I’ll be damned! Isn’t it the Qin family’s pathetic reject? And you’ve even scampered all the way to Jinling? Tsk, tsk. And would you look at that, you worthless bum, you even managed to land a girlfriend? How blind does a girl have to be to fall for the likes of you! Hey, pretty lady, the guy you’re with is a total loser, a worthless piece of trash. Ditch him and come with me. Where are you headed? Hop in my car, I’ll give you a ride!" The young man’s smug face was filled with nothing but scorn and derision.
He’d gone abroad during his sophomore year of high school and had only returned to Jinling the day before to see some friends. He never expected to run into that universally-bullied, pathetic loser from back in the day in a city this large. It was a genuine surprise. But along with the surprise, he couldn’t help but feel an urge to have some fun at Qin Fan’s expense.
"What? Don’t you remember me? The year before last, sophomore year, right before I went abroad. On my last day at Qi Middle School, I used you as my personal punching bag. I beat you black and blue, then ground my foot on your face and asked you how it felt. Ringing any bells now?" Seeing Qin Fan just staring at him, the young man grew even more amused. He deliberately switched from his Jiangzhou dialect, mangling his words in clumsy Mandarin with a thick Jiangdong accent.
A punching bag? Beaten black and blue and had his face stepped on?
Having already heard about Qin Fan’s past from the man himself, Jiang Yino felt an endless, towering rage erupt within her. How much of a bully do you have to be to do something so horrible? For no reason at all, her heart ached for him.
"You’re a disgusting bully!" Jiang Yino’s eyebrows knitted sharply as she roared at the young man.
"Whoa there, beauty, don’t say that! But fine, call me a bully if you want. It’s only because he’s so damn easy to pick on, haha! If I didn’t rough him up a bit, I’d be too ashamed to even admit we went to the same school! Now you see what kind of trash he is, right? Come on, get in the car. I’ll give you a ride!" the young man laughed dismissively. He then shot a look at Qin Fan, sneering, "What the fuck are you looking at?! Drop dead on the street, you fucking loser! You want me to get out of this car and beat your ass again? If you know what’s good for you, get the hell out of here and leave the girl! A pathetic punk like you, do you even deserve a girlfriend? Damn, you should thank your lucky stars my temper has mellowed out after two years abroad. Otherwise, you’d be toast!"
"Heh, now I remember," Qin Fan replied, meeting the youth’s gaze. He wasn’t angry. Instead, he laughed—a cold, mocking laugh dripping with irony.
"Good. Now that you remember, get lost, you worthless trash!" the young man sneered, shaking his head in smug disdain.
"You—!"
Before Jiang Yino could finish, Qin Fan pulled her behind him. He pointed a finger at the arrogant youth, his words directed at the little bald guy and his men. "Fuck him up."
"What?" the youth blurted out in English, as if he’d heard the most unbelievable thing in the world.
But before he could process it, the little bald guy and his crew, already psychologically scarred by Qin Fan, acted without a moment’s hesitation. They rushed the car, reached through the open window, yanked the door open, and dragged the young man out onto the pavement.
"What do you think you’re doing? Do you have any idea who I am?! Let go of me! Let go!" the youth yelled, pure panic in his voice.
All that talk about boxing? That was just an excuse to beat up Qin Fan. He didn’t know the first thing about fighting. As they dragged him from the car, a cold sweat broke out across his skin. One look at these thugs, with their menacing tattoos, told him they were not to be trifled with.
SMACK!
The little bald guy’s response was a heavy slap across the youth’s face.
"Fuck you! On our turf, here in Jinling, some out-of-town punk like you dares to act tough?" the little bald guy, an expert at bullying the weak, snarled viciously. He then turned to Qin Fan and asked, "Big Bro, what’s on the menu for him?"
"Smash the car. Beat him until he can’t take care of himself. If there’s any trouble, find Chang Yuanyi. If he can’t handle it, come find me. If the sky falls, I’ll hold it up for you," Qin Fan said with a malicious grin, his voice rising to a shout. "Fuck him up!"
"Yes, Big Bro! Mission accepted!" With Qin Fan’s guarantee, the little bald guy roared with laughter. He desperately needed to vent after being so terrified, but more than that, the chance to finally do something *for* Qin Fan filled him with a thrill.
He snorted at the youth’s terror-stricken face. "Buddy, you’d better call a hospital and reserve a bed."
Then, the little bald guy turned to his men and bellowed, "The Big Bro has spoken! Fuck him up!"
