Evolving My Mythic Legion With A Legendary Skill

Chapter 155: Finding Linda

As Xander heard Neil’s words, his expression changed to one of extreme rage.

It seemed he was about to bleed from his very eyes, and Neil dared to speak it all so nonchalantly.

This truly angered Xander, yet no matter what he tried, he couldn’t move his body.

Not wasting any more time, the frost blade materialized in his hand.

Then Neil pushed the blade down into Xander’s chest, and it tore through his skin, flesh and bones without any difficulty.

The cold energy rushed into Xander’s body, quickly freezing up his very blood and essence.

"..." Within a few moments, life disappeared from Xander’s eyes.

[You have killed a 4th Origin Gold Class human!]

Neil then walked out of the room, the assassins who were standing around were surprised at the way Neil killed him.

Surely, he had taken a lot of lives.

No normal lord could kill another with such coldness.

"You are done?" the strongest assassin asked.

"Yes, there is nothing else, right?" Neil asked, now he was done with both of his minor enemies.

There were still some major figures though, like his parents.

"Yes, you can go, we will take care of things here." The assassin said, then Neil nodded and ran away at full speed.

He had again used the Agility Lock, he could also test how long this skill would last and how fast he could move.

"Nemo, have you found that Linda woman?" Neil asked, after running some distance away.

"Yes, I have found her, master." Nemo answered.

It was the same woman he had met when entering the flying ship, she was the one who put that mechanical insect on him.

So, she might know more about it and be responsible for that entire lizard attack.

"Alright, let’s first deal with the closest domain, then I will go meet her and at last attack two more domains."

Neil inhaled, this day was going to be long.

The start was quite nice, but he wasn’t sure how it would end.

Following the directions given by Nemo, Neil arrived in front of a domain after traveling a large distance.

It was also present outside of the settlement and was wooden.

There weren’t too many people there though, around 20 or so and their strength was rather weak.

"This is Diamond Class, too weak." Neil looked at the domain from not too far away, the lord of the domain was a man in his twenties.

"Let’s go take the core then." Neil started walking towards it, and before long the people inside had noticed him.

"Who are you? Why are you here?" a man shouted, he was holding a bow.

"..." Neil just continued to walk and used Sonic to put him to sleep.

He released a few more attacks of Sonic and soon all of them were unconscious, only the guardian remained and it wasn’t affected by Sonic.

[Aquamorph Activated!]

Bullets of liquid shot through the guardian’s body, quickly defeating it.

This was all way too easy.

Neil directly walked into the domain and took the domain core, then walked out.

The whole thing took no more than a minute, unfortunately there was no one to see it.

"And that’s one core, now need two more only." Neil spoke to himself, getting 2nd Origin domain cores was easy.

In fact, finding them was the harder part, and especially since they were located too far away.

Now his next destination was settlement number 65 where he would find Linda as well as the teleportation gate.

"After things are better here, I should return to Earth to meet Aunt May." He decided and sprinted towards the next destination.

As for his test with Agility Lock, the effect ended only once he stopped using it, when he stopped running.

So he could keep using it for quite some time even after moving away from the locked target.

...

Neil ran at full speed, and after a long travel he finally arrived at the settlement.

It was quite similar to the one he almost entered before, maybe a little bigger.

People were entering and exiting constantly, the security was just as high as the other settlement.

"Nemo, there shouldn’t be any problem with me entering, right?" he questioned, making his way forward.

"Yes master, it’s fine." she answered confidently.

Neil joined at the back of the line that was entering and watched how the security checked a few things before letting them in.

But with Nemo’s help, Neil had no problem as he passed through the check safely after a few minutes.

Walking inside, he looked around at the settlement, it was like he was back on Earth.

There were big buildings, shops, it was completely like Earth, well developed and prospering.

Many people had placed their domains inside too, all of them were busy with their work.

A few glanced at him, some just continued while many women took several glances at him, his appearance was quite eye-catching after all.

"Let’s first go greet Linda." Neil mumbled as Nemo started showing him the directions.

Linda’s house was located around three or so kilometres from his location, there were several taxis that were either running over the ground or flying in the air.

"Nemo, do I have any money?" Neil asked, he had forgotten about it after all this time.

"Yeah, but not much, I can sell a few corpses and gene points to get more money." she replied.

"Do it, I need to think of a way to get some money." he mumbled.

Nemo quickly sold some things and got the cash.

"We have enough money now, master." Nemo said merrily.

"Hmm, let’s get a cab then." Neil looked around but before he could do anything, Nemo booked one for him.

"It’ll be here in a minute." Nemo spoke, finally things were looking better.

Soon a flying car stopped in front of him, it only had one seat and no driver.

Though it really wasn’t surprising for Neil; he had travelled through such taxis plenty of times back on Earth.

He sat inside, looking at the busy surroundings through the window.

If nothing had gone wrong then he would also be just living a normal life here.

"Can I have more gene potions...?" Just then a voice sounded in his mind.

Neil sat back and yawned, then wondered: "Did I just hear something?"

Freya felt frustrated but for now all she could do was do whatever he wanted, even if he couldn’t kill her, he could still make her disappear slowly and painfully.

"M- Master, can I have a few gene potions?" she asked, her tone very polite this time.

"Good girl, here are the gene potions for you." Neil took out several gene potions and made them float before him.

Freya quickly absorbed them and felt a lot better, once she had found a suitable body she would leave as far away from him as possible.

"The security here is pretty tight, is this normal?" Neil looked down and asked.

"No master, it is because of the event two days later. A lot of talents are going to participate so it is also a great opportunity for the enemies to attack and wipe out humanity’s future." she replied in a serious tone.

"Hmm, with so many powerful lords being there, someone would still attack?" Neil wondered which groups held so much power.

...

"And here we are master, this is where Linda is living." Nemo spoke as the ride finally ended.

Neil walked out of the car and stood before a luxurious house, it really showed Linda’s riches.

That house alone was worth far more than all the surrounding houses, it seemed she didn’t lack money.

Neil walked up to the main door and then pressed the doorbell, after which he took a step back and waited.

After a minute, the door opened and a woman appeared, she was a maid.

"Yes? How can I help you?" she asked politely.

"I am here to meet Linda, is she here?" Neil asked, he smiled faintly not showing any of his intent.

"Oh sorry, you came at a wrong time, Miss Linda has been away for several days now. Neither do we know where she is nor when she will return. I am sorry, but if you leave your name here I’ll inform her of you."

The maid spoke in the same polite tone.

"Hmm" Neil frowned, he was hoping to find out about the things that had happened in the background.

About the people who had been trying to kill him and aside from the name of his parents’ company, Linda was his only lead.

’Freya, is she lying?’ Neil asked while appearing deep in thought.

Freya sighed but she had to work since her master had asked, so she used her dealing ability to seal the maid’s very ability to lie.

"I see, you really don’t know anything?" Neil asked again.

"Yes, I don’t. She has been gone for over a week now." the maid replied with a helpless shrug.

"Okay, thank you, I will return next time." Neil said, then turned and walked away.

"Wait, at least tell me your name..." The maid found herself enchanted by the looks of this handsome guest, she even forgot to ask this.

But Neil was already gone, so she sighed and returned into the house.

"That was disappointing." Neil walked aimlessly for a bit, massaging his temples.

He wondered if he should keep trying to search for her or just wait, maybe whoever had asked her to start the plan already killed her to remove any loose ends.

Or maybe she got wind of something and ran away.
