Chapter 1011: More Dead Dragons.
The open structure of the castle was mostly for convenience, but it was also because the things living in this castle do not need walls to protect them from anything.There was someone inside the castle now. It was a dragon sprawling its large mass and wings across the floor some distance from the entrance.
This dragon possessed three pairs of wings, each being large enough to cover a lake. Its scales were mostly red, with some orange sprinkled in across some areas. It had four white horns on its head with red tattoos drawn across them.
The dragon was motionless. It had its eyes closed and seemed to be sleeping. It was either that or it was dead because there was no sign of breathing.
Its chest wasn’t rising and falling, and air wasn’t coming out of its nostrils. If not for the occasional flip of its tail, it would pass as a statue or a corpse.
Another dragon flew over from the mountain range around the summit and landed in front of the castle, kicking up dust from the beating of its wings. Then the dragon rushed over to the castle in haste.
This second dragon was about a tenth the size of the one in the castle. It only possessed one pair of wings, and it had more orange scales on its body than red scales.
Before the second dragon could enter the castle, a voice came from the motionless dragon in the castle, saying, "What’s the hurry, Ajax?"
The smaller dragon, Ajax, said, "I come bearing news, my emperor. It is news from the Blessed Heaven World."
The emperor was about to say, "What news could put you in such a state? Is the world coming to an end?"
But when he heard that the news was from the Blessed Heaven World, he didn’t bother to question the importance of the news. In fact, the large dragon opened its eyes and sat up straight.
"Tell me, Ajax," the dragon emperor said as it sat up and straightened itself. "What news do you bring? What has happened in that world?"
Ajax came to a stop in front of the dragon. He was about to bow when he heard the emperor say, "Dispense with the formalities and tell me what you know."
So Ajax said, "I come bearing two important pieces of news. As for which is more important, that is for your judgement."
"The first news is that a dragon appeared in the Blessed Heaven World four weeks ago. The dragon seemed to have snuck into the Blessed Heaven World by pretending to be a human."
This made the dragon emperor frown and say, "Why would a dragon sneak into the Blessed Heaven World? Clearly, it was exposed."
"The fact that you know that it snuck in there is proof that it couldn’t hide. Doesn’t it know that that world is a forbidden ground for dragon people? Is it an idiot?"
Ajax shook his head and said, "I don’t know whether it is an idiot, my emperor. I do not know what it went to the Blessed Heaven World to do either. What news I received stated that it ran into the second heaven when its presence was exposed. From there, it tried to escape."
