Global Awakening: Infinite Gift Pack System

Chapter 204: The Worker’s Skills

Kai took out the Status Crystal he purchased from the Gene Trader. The last time he had checked Amer was when he was only Level 4.

However, after getting Alpha Gene Enhancement Serum and absorbing a C-Grade Core before, Amer’s level should’ve been at least Level 7 or 8. Now, with Amer’s participation, it wouldn’t be surprising if he were already a higher-level Survivor.

[ Status Crystal: A rare crystal that reveals the complete status of the person who touches it. When activated, it displays their name, title, level, skills, and stats for exactly 10 seconds before fading.

Cooldown: After use, the crystal requires 30 seconds before it can be activated again.

Charge: 18 ]

[ Recharge Requirement: Once its charges reach zero, or even before that point, the crystal must be replenished by pouring Spirit Energy into it. Without this infusion, the crystal will remain dormant and unusable. ]

"Alright... Put your hands on it." Kai said as he showed the small crystal...

"Thank you!" Amer said with a smile as he put his hands on top of it, and soon, his status was analyzed, and a window containing his information appeared for everyone to see.

[ Name: Amer ]

[ Title: None ]

[ Level: 10 ]

[ Health: 315 / 315 ]

[ Spirit: 185 / 185 ]

[ Physique Rating: D- ]

[ Active Skills: None ]

[ Passive Skills: Spirit Sense Lv0, Dexterity Flow Lv0 ]

"I have two passive skills?" Amer’s eyes widened. He didn’t expect this at all.

However, as he thought about it, he realized that there were indeed times when, if he focused, he could sense everything in his surroundings.

"I think I can check the skills’ description... Wait." Kai said as he manipulated the Crystal and gave a quick look at the two skills.

[ Spirit Sense (Level 0): Heightens awareness through spirit energy, detecting subtle movements and threats. It gives a minor boost to reaction speed. ]

[ Dexterity Flow (Level 0): Enhances coordination, improving agility and precision. It improves evasion chance. ]

"Ohh! This looks nice!" Amer said. Just like that, the time limit passed and the notification finally vanished.

However, Amer had already seen it.

"That’s amazing... The Spirit Sense and the Dexterity Flow will help you a lot. Right, this Global Event will take several days, so make sure to participate and get more experience points." Kai reminded.

Furthermore, deep inside, Kai was actually shocked by the amount of his Spirit Points!

The 185 points were huge! Amer was comparable to someone who had drunk several Gene Enhancement Serums!

However, Amer didn’t know it yet.

"I will participate in all battles!" Amer was now excited. Without a doubt, he would work even harder in hopes of leveling up his skills.

Furthermore, he wanted to reach a higher level to become even more useful.

After all, he was able to get food almost for free. He was also not worrying about the shelter, the drinks, the weapons, and other things. It was all thanks to Kai’s support. With all of this given to him, he really wants to pay Kai back and support him in his battles.

Soon, the other locals who didn’t have a system interface of their own, curiously asked if they could also use the Status Crystal.

Kai thought for a moment. Since there weren’t any significant attacks yet, he nodded.

"It hasn’t been long since you last checked, so the changes shouldn’t be that big yet. But... go ahead. Three of you can try."

The workers exchanged glances, and three stepped forward nervously. One by one, they placed their hands on the crystal.

The first window appeared:

[ Name: Rolan ]

[ Title: None ]

[ Level: 6 ]

[ Health: 160 / 160 ]

[ Spirit: 35 / 35 ]

[ Physique Rating: E ]

[ Active Skills: None ]

[ Passive Skills: Enhanced Stomach Lv1 ]

[ Enhanced Stomach (Level 1): Grants resistance to spoiled food and minor toxins. Slightly reduces hunger effects. ]

Rolan blinked in surprise. "So my skill leveled up! I knew it, I just kept eating random things... It helped a lot."

Kai recalled this man before and smiled at him. He had no idea how useful it was since Jonas had a better stomach. In any case, he encouraged him to work hard.

His purpose may be unknown for now, but he believed that they’d be useful someday.

The second worker stepped forward...

[ Name: Demy ]

[ Title: None ]

[ Level: 6 ]

[ Health: 125 / 125 ]

[ Spirit: 105 / 105 ]

[ Physique Rating: E- ]

[ Active Skills: None ]

[ Passive Skills: Desert Endurance Lv0 ]

[ Desert Endurance (Level 0): Increases tolerance to dehydration and fatigue. Slightly reduces stamina loss when food or water is scarce. ]

This skill explained how she managed to survive those days as a slave without water.

Demy smiled faintly. The Skill didn’t level up but it was alright.

Finally, the third worker touched the crystal.

[ Name: Tomas ]

[ Title: None ]

[ Level: 5 ]

[ Health: 225 / 225 ]

[ Spirit: 90 / 90 ]

[ Physique Rating: E ]

[ Active Skills: None ]

[ Passive Skills: Iron Skin Lv0 ]

[ Iron Skin (Level 0): Toughens the body’s surface, granting minor resistance to cuts, bruises, and blunt force. Slightly reduces damage taken from physical attacks. ]

Everyone was surprised to see this skill...

When Tomas was checked before, he was only Level 4. Now, after reaching Level 5, he actually obtained an incredible passive skill!

"So that’s why I feel really good during training. My Iron Skin makes me tougher."

The survivors murmured among themselves, impressed by what they had just seen...

Then Tomas turned to Kai, as he felt a little curious, "What do you think the limit of this skill is? Can I block bullets?"

Kai chuckled, shaking his head. "Don’t try that yet. Maybe start with blades first. See how much punishment your skin can take before you start thinking about bullets."

Tomas laughed awkwardly, scratching the back of his head. "Fair enough. I’ll test it carefully later."

"Good..." Kai nodded.

This passive skill could definitely help him protect this shelter.

Kai then noticed something and addressed everyone.

"These are foundations. They may look small now, but they matter. With more battles and more experience, they’ll grow stronger... For now, we need to get ready. We have a visitor outside." He reminded.

The workers straightened as they immediately turned to see what was going on outside!

Kai smiled and turned to everyone... "Alright... This time, I want the front liners to equip the Steelbreakers. We might have to fight in close range."
