Apocalypse with my SSS Harem Beauties

Chapter 250: The Presence Inside

Red did not even spare a single glance toward his severed hand after it separated cleanly from his wrist. The limb fell behind him only to crumble into ash before it could fully touch the ground.

His attention never shifted away from Myles as his gaze burned with pure hatred that remained sharp and unwavering as if nothing else in the world existed anymore. While the loss of flesh, the collapse of his own body, and even the damage that should have crippled him completely held no meaning to him.

Because only the urge to destroy remained and that instinct fixed itself entirely on the figure standing in front of him without hesitation or doubt.

Myles met that gaze and allowed a grin to form slowly across his face as the black energy surrounding his body responded immediately to his will. It tightened with controlled precision as it wrapped around the shallow wounds carved into his shoulder and side to seal them before the corruption could spread further.

The flow of that energy stabilized his condition in an instant and closed the damage enough to maintain his full combat capability without any disruption to his movements.

At the same time his attention had already begun to move beyond the surface of the battle as his eyes no longer focused on Red himself but instead traced deeper into the unstable mass within him until they locked onto the true source hidden beneath the ruined flesh.

"So that's where you are…"

That realization settled clearly in his mind as Red himself no longer held any importance.

That was because what stood before him had already become nothing more than a shell that continued to move only through borrowed power. While the body itself could no longer sustain the power that had been forced into it. Every passing second pushed it closer toward total collapse.

However, the presence inside him remained entirely different as the Blood Sun embryo pulsed with a vast and ancient weight that did not belong to this battlefield or even this world. Even in its restrained and incomplete state it radiated power far beyond anything else present, which Myles felt with perfect clarity as his ambition rose.

"Why destroy it when I can take it?"

That thought anchored itself firmly in his mind as his intent sharpened. The moment that intent focused directly on that presence, a foreign sensation slipped into his consciousness without resistance.

Heat spread through his awareness and carried with it the thick and suffocating scent of blood before a voice emerged from within that sensation.

Tts laughter echoing heavily as it filled his mind.

"Hahaha… you are quite daring. To push my vessel into this state," the voice said, its tone heavy with amusement. "Though, I suppose I should not expect much from him. That body was fragile from the start. It could not even handle a fraction of my true power."

A brief pause followed, as if its attention shifted entirely.

"But you…" it continued, a subtle interest slipping into its voice. "You are different. Heheheh… That power within you is not something that belongs to this lowly. The Voidheart… how curious."

Myles' eyes narrowed slightly as the name settled into place, confirming what he had already suspected. But his expression did not change as he answered without hesitation, his voice cold and direct as it cut through the presence in his mind.

"I don't care what you think," he said flatly. "Stop talking and give me your power."

A brief silence followed before laughter burst out again. It was louder this time and filled with clear mockery.

"Arrogant brat," the voice replied, amusement thick in every word. "You think a mere fragment of the Voidheart gives you the right to demand anything from me?"

Before the exchange could continue further, reality snapped back violently as Red's body exploded and released a surge of thick red liquid that burst in all directions with overwhelming force.

It struck Myles directly and threw him backward several meters as the pressure carried him across the broken ground. The entire conversation within his mind had not even lasted a full second before it ended.

Myles landed cleanly despite the impact as his feet slid slightly before stabilizing. The moment he regained his balance his gaze lifted toward Red again, only to find that what stood there no longer resembled anything human as the deterioration had progressed far beyond its previous state.

It left no skin behind and exposed blackened flesh layered with visible muscle, sinew, and bone that was still under the unstable power still surging within him.

Blood continued to flow freely from every part of his body without structure and his face collapsed further as his eyeballs began to melt within their sockets, distorting his appearance to become even more grotesque than before. But despite all of that he still stood and continued to move with the same singular intent to destroy.

Myles observed that sight without hesitation and let out a quiet scoff as the grin on his face widened once more.

He observed that grotesque figure for a while. His intent formed clearly in that moment as he no longer aimed to damage the shell in front of him but instead directed everything toward the source itself.

The feeling and thought rose naturally from his instinct as if something within him already understood how to reach it.

That thought anchored itself firmly in his mind, and the power within him responded immediately without resistance as if it had been waiting.

Myles did not question how it worked or where that understanding came from because his body moved with complete certainty. The black and faintly colorful Ether surged outward from him like flowing ink, thick and fluid as it wrapped around both Fangblade and Noctyrix in uneven currents.

The energy clung to the edges of his weapons and extended beyond them, forming a faint distortion that did not follow the rules of physical space.

Then he moved.

His body surged forward in a direct line, while at the same time Red launched toward him with equal ferocity.

The distance between them vanished instantly as both of them closed in at the same moment, and their clash erupted once again.

Myles struck first.

Fangblade cut forward in an arc aimed at Red's upper body while Noctyrix followed from the other side.

Red responded purely on instinct as his blade rose to intercept the attacks with brute force.

Blades collided violently as the weapons met. The physical strikes were blocked just as before, held back by the sheer strength that still surged through Red's deteriorating body.

But that was not the real attack.

The moment the blades connected, the Ether wrapped around Myles' weapons surged forward and slipped past the point of contact without resistance. It moved through Red's defenses as if they did not exist.

The black and colorful energy did not strike flesh or bone. It passed through them. It sank deeper through the unstable mass within and pushed directly into the core where the Blood Sun embryo resided.

The attack connected.

Then the reaction came.

"What—?!"

The voice that had filled Myles' mind earlier erupted again, but this time the amusement vanished completely and was replaced by sharp shock and rising anger.

"How are you touching my soul?!"

The pressure surged violently as the presence reacted to the intrusion. Its tone turned harsh with disbelief.

"That power… you are directing it here?! Impossible!"

Myles did not stop after the first connection. The moment he confirmed that his attack had reached the core, his entire focus locked onto that point without wavering.

His body continued to move in perfect coordination with that intent as his blades struck again and again. The Ether wrapped around them surged deeper with every impact.

The physical clashes above remained violent and loud as metal collided and force erupted between them, but Myles no longer paid attention to that layer of the fight. His awareness sank inward and followed the path of his own power as it pushed directly against the Blood Sun embryo.

The resistance came immediately. A heavy and burning pressure surged back through the connection as the Blood Sun attempted to repel him.

Heat flooded his senses and the scent of blood thickened within his mind as the presence lashed out with violent force. It was trying to overwhelm and crush his intrusion. It pushed back again and again, its anger rising with every failed attempt to expel him.

But Myles did not yield.

His attacks grew sharper as his control tightened. The Voidheart power within him responded more smoothly with each strike as if adapting in real time.

The black and colorful Ether pressed forward relentlessly through the resistance layer by layer, as it invaded deeper into the core.

The Blood Sun's angry voices turned unstable. Its earlier arrogance faded as strain crept into its tone. Each clash weakened its defense further as its fragmentary state began to show clear limits.

Myles pushed harder.

The pressure shifted.

And finally, the resistance broke.

What remained of the Blood Sun embryo began to collapse under the sustained assault as its presence flickered and shrank.

Its power destabilized and faltered as Myles overwhelmed it completely, driving it toward its inevitable defeat.
