My Wife is a Hidden Big Shot

After Benjamin Morgan spoke, the entire atmosphere felt wrong.

The smile on Luna Jennings’s face froze.

She laughed awkwardly. "Of course! He’s my buddy. We’ve been inseparable since we were kids..."

Benjamin Morgan glanced at her but said nothing more.

The atmosphere grew a little awkward.

"Benjamin Morgan, go get some juice," Alvin Morgan said suddenly.

Benjamin Morgan stiffened, detecting the displeasure in Alvin’s tone. He gave a slight nod and left the table.

Luna Jennings stared after him wistfully, the light in her eyes dimming.

Jenson Lawson, who was sitting beside her, took it all in. He pursed his lips and glanced in Benjamin Morgan’s direction.

The man’s bearing and looks were remarkably similar to the lead actor in Luna Jennings’s favorite movie.

’No wonder Luna’s so taken with him.’

A glint appeared in Jenson Lawson’s eyes. He thoughtfully handed her two meat skewers.

Throughout the meal, Jenson Lawson doted on Luna Jennings. The adoration in his eyes was so obvious that even a fool could see he was in love with her.

But the scatterbrained girl, whether she was feigning ignorance or genuinely oblivious, just kept treating him like a brother.

Benjamin Morgan never returned to the table. It wasn’t until everyone was leaving the small restaurant that they found him standing outside.

Looking concerned, Luna Jennings ran over to him. "Assistant Morgan, why didn’t you come back inside to eat?"

Benjamin Morgan ignored her, walking straight to Alvin Morgan to report, "Sir, there’s an anomaly with the institute’s Project S."

"Take them home first."

"There’s no need. It’s not far from our place. We can walk back on our own."

Aurora Sinclair replied, about to take Leigh Miles’s arm and walk home.

Just then, Jenson Lawson eagerly offered, "I drove. I can take them home."

Alvin Morgan shot him a look and refused.

"That won’t be necessary. Benjamin Morgan, go get the car."

Parking wasn’t allowed on this street, so Benjamin Morgan and Jenson Lawson had to walk to the end of it to get their cars.

The two of them ended up walking together.

Jenson Lawson smiled at Benjamin Morgan. "Has anyone ever told you that you look a lot like the male lead from the movie *Shadow*?"

Benjamin Morgan thought about the movie. ’Isn’t that Fourth Master’s debut film?’

The voice beside him spoke again. "Ever since that girl Luna watched *Shadow*, she’s been going on and on about finding a husband like Professor Grant. If she does anything strange, please don’t take it personally..."

Benjamin Morgan’s pace faltered for a second. He adjusted his glasses and said flatly, "I don’t find her strange."

Jenson Lawson was at a loss for words, and a sense of unease settled over him.

The two continued walking. Just as Benjamin Morgan reached his car, Jenson Lawson muttered, as if to himself:

"Luna just likes people who resemble Professor Grant. It’s not the actual person she likes."

Benjamin Morgan’s hand paused on the car door. Without a word, he got into the driver’s seat coolly.

A glint appeared in Jenson Lawson’s eyes.

「That evening.」

Benjamin Morgan suddenly received a friend request on his phone.

The request note read, "I’m Luna Jennings."

Recalling Jenson Lawson’s words, he ignored it.

But when he came out of the shower, he found Beta Morgan holding his phone, in the middle of sending a message.

"What are you doing?"

To his surprise, Beta Morgan snapped a photo of him.

Benjamin Morgan’s expression changed. He rushed over to snatch the phone back.

On the screen, he saw a conversation between "himself" and Luna Jennings.

[Pip: This is Beta Morgan. Pip is in the shower and didn’t see your friend request.]

[Luna Jennings: Oh, it’s fine! I just wanted to thank him for getting me those fan meet tickets.]

[Pip: Oh, what fan meet?]

[Luna Jennings: Darius Lynch’s. They were impossible to get.]

[Pip: Oh, my boss had him deliver them on Aurora’s behalf.]

[Luna Jennings: I figured. Professor Morgan really takes good care of Aurora, doesn’t he? (Hehe)]

[Pip: Pip’s out now. See? I wasn’t lying.]

[Pip: (Image)]

[Luna Jennings: (Heart eyes) So handsome!!!]

[Pip: Message retracted]

Benjamin Morgan’s face was grim as he glared at Beta Morgan. "Hasn’t anyone ever told you not to go through other people’s phones?"

Beta Morgan scratched his head. "She called you."

Benjamin Morgan opened his call log and saw that she had indeed called.

[Luna Jennings: Mr. Beta, why’d you retract the photo? I had no idea Assistant Morgan had such a great build, just like Professor Grant.]

Benjamin Morgan pressed his lips into a thin line. With a swipe of his finger, he added her to his block list.
