Divorce, Please: The Young Master Does Not Love Me

Chapter 725 - 713: I Want You to Marry Me (Part 1)

"So, you’re surprised to see me awake? Disappointed?"

Yara Ross’s expression faltered. "Harold, what are you talking about? I’m overjoyed that you’re awake."

"Is that so?" Harold Bishop sneered, a sarcastic smirk on his lips.

"Of course it is, Harold. Don’t you know what kind of person I am? I’ve been dreaming of the day you’d wake up."

Harold Bishop pushed himself into a sitting position on the bed. He looked at Yara Ross and laughed self-deprecatingly. "Heh, Yara Ross, we’ve been married for many years. I thought I knew you well, but now... I really don’t know what kind of person you are." All those years he was in a coma, his mind had been clear. He knew every single thing Yara Ross had said and done.

He didn’t care how Yara Ross had treated him—that was the punishment he deserved as the failed head of the family. But his precious daughter shouldn’t have had to suffer.

"Harold Bishop, what is that supposed to mean? You’d better explain yourself!" ’I took care of him for all these years, through thick and thin, and now he has the nerve to say he doesn’t know me?’

"Yara Ross, I know exactly what you’ve done and what you’ve said. There’s no need to keep up this pretense of being a virtuous wife in front of me."

Yara Ross pointed a trembling, emotional finger at Harold Bishop, her voice a mixture of tears and accusations. "Harold Bishop, I took care of you for so many years! How can you treat me like this the moment you wake up? Do you have any conscience?"

"Yes, you took care of me for many years. I know it wasn’t easy. But Yara Ross, no matter how hard it was, you had no right to treat our daughter that way! Eleanor is our precious daughter! How could you use her as a bargaining chip to make money?"

"And whose fault is that? Do you think I wanted to do it? If it weren’t for you, Eleanor and I wouldn’t be in this situation..."

Hearing Yara Ross’s words, the light in Harold Bishop’s eyes dimmed. He gave a bitter smile. "When I, Harold Bishop, was at the top of my game, you lived in luxury, enjoying a status others could only dream of. But the moment I hit rock bottom, what did you do, Yara Ross? Why couldn’t you stick with us through it all? Heh... Forget it. I’m not asking you to endure this hard life with me. Just go. Go back to your Ross Family and live your good life."

"Harold Bishop, are you trying to get rid of me?" Yara Ross looked at him, shocked.

"I’m not getting rid of you. I’m granting your wish. Divorce!"

Yara Ross pointed at Harold Bishop angrily. "Harold Bishop, you want to divorce me? You have the guts? Say it again!"

"I said, divorce! Right now! Eleanor, get the car ready! Get the papers! I’m going to divorce this woman right now!" Harold Bishop threw off the blankets and tried to get out of bed.

Hearing her father’s words and seeing that he was serious about the divorce, Eleanor Bishop panicked and quickly tried to stop him. "Dad, don’t be angry! You just woke up, you shouldn’t get so worked up or move around. Just rest. If Mom is being too loud, I’ll have her step outside so she won’t disturb you, okay?"

"Harold Bishop, you want a divorce? Fine! Let’s get a divorce! Did you really think I wanted to stay here and suffer this miserable life with you?" Provoked by Harold’s words, Yara Ross was no longer afraid. ’A divorce is a divorce. Who’s afraid?’ she thought. In any case, even with Harold awake, their family’s situation wouldn’t change. They would still have to live a hard life.
