Divorce, Please: The Young Master Does Not Love Me

Chapter 237: The Move

After arriving at the airport, Mika Summers said goodbye to Ian Shaw and hurried toward the VIP lounge.

After she left, Ian Shaw rubbed his nose awkwardly. He then pulled out his phone and began reporting to his superior.

The call connected, and he had just said "Tristan" when someone clapped him hard on the back. "I’m right here."

The sudden clap nearly gave Ian Shaw a heart attack. His face darkened as he spun around and roared, "Tristan Grayson, are you a fucking ghost?!"

"Did you get clear answers to my questions?" Tristan Grayson asked with a cold expression, ignoring Ian Shaw’s profanity.

"Yeah, I got it all. The child you saw is Archie Summers and Eleanor Bishop’s. He has nothing to do with you."

Hearing Ian Shaw’s words, Tristan Grayson’s handsome face instantly fell. "Then what about my child?"

"What the hell, how would I know? You’re asking me about *your* child? Who am I supposed to ask?!" ’Besides,’ he thought, ’it’s not like I could just ask Mika Summers the moment I saw her, ’Hey, have you ever given birth?’’

"..." The light in Tristan Grayson’s eyes dimmed. He gave a self-deprecating laugh, pulled a pack of cigarettes from his pocket, took one out, lit it, and began to smoke.

Seeing Tristan Grayson fall silent, just smoking with a detached air, Ian Shaw’s brow furrowed. He reached out and snatched the pack of cigarettes from Tristan’s hand. "Tristan Grayson, what the hell are you moping around here for?" he said coldly, his voice laced with displeasure. "You miss her, you can’t forget her, you’re worried about her—so just go find her! Clear the air with her face-to-face." ’He truly didn’t understand what was so scary about liking someone. Just say it out loud, for crying out loud.’

"But she hates me... She doesn’t want to see me... What else can I do...?" ’For the past seven months, one of the reasons he’d been afraid to sleep was the nightmares. Every time, he dreamed of that same scene: her, holding a pistol, about to kill herself.’

’In the dream, he tried to stop her, to save her, time and time again, but he always failed...’

’He would always jolt awake in terror, and each time, he was just thankful that it was only a dream and not real.’

’Eventually, he’d been scared so many times that he simply didn’t want to sleep. Even if it was just a dream, he was unwilling to face that kind of pain again...’

"Tristan Grayson, you’re a fucking coward. You’ve ended up in this mess precisely because you don’t understand women. Listen, the more a woman says she hates you, the more she actually loves you. And when she says she doesn’t want to see you, it means she’s dying to see you."

Hearing this, Tristan Grayson dropped his cigarette and looked at Ian Shaw like he was an idiot. "She’s not like other women. Stop trying to judge her by their standards."

"How is she any different? They’re all women, aren’t they? Tristan Grayson, do you fucking want her back or not?"

"Of course I do!" ’If he didn’t, why would he have spent the last seven months searching for her?’

"Then just listen to me. I’ve got one trick that’s guaranteed to get her back in your arms!"

"What trick?"

"Shameless persistence!"

The words were barely out of Ian Shaw’s mouth when Tristan Grayson aimed a kick at him. "Get lost!" ’Shameless persistence? Impossible. How could that ever work? The woman hated his guts; there was no way she would forgive him just because he pestered her relentlessly...’

’If he wanted to keep her by his side, there was only one way. He couldn’t think of any other method...’

「In the VIP lounge.」 An elegantly dressed woman stood with her arms crossed, looking haughtily at Mika Summers.

She spoke, her tone dripping with scorn and disdain. "Boss Hall, since when does the VIP lounge allow *this sort* of person to just walk in?"
