Divorce, Please: The Young Master Does Not Love Me

Chapter 226: Catch Me

Hearing Eleanor Bishop’s words, Archie Summers roared with uncontrollable rage, "Eleanor Bishop, shut up!"

His roar sent a shiver through Eleanor Bishop’s entire body.

Tears of hurt welled in her eyes. "Archie, I’m sorry. I... I didn’t mean to say that."

Archie Summers suddenly waved his hand, looking exhausted. "That’s enough. I don’t want to see you right now. Just go." With that, he turned and left without sparing Eleanor Bishop another glance.

Watching Archie walk away, Eleanor Bishop sank to the ground, clutched her head, and began to sob bitterly.

’Yes, she’d used Archie. She’d climbed into his bed. But she also truly loved him. If it were only to save the Bishop Family, why did she have to choose Archie...?’

After crying for a long while, Eleanor Bishop finally wiped away her tears and stood up. She had barely taken two steps when a mocking male voice rang out from behind her.

"Eleanor Bishop, so this is the fine man you’ve chosen."

At the sound of his voice, Eleanor Bishop trembled slightly, her face turning deathly pale. She fought to hide her fear and kept walking forward.

But the man’s voice came from behind her once more. "Eleanor Bishop, what’s so good about him? He doesn’t love you at all. Why can’t you give up on him?"

"This is between him and me. It has nothing to do with you." Eleanor Bishop turned to face the man leaning against the wall at the corner, his head lowered as he smoked. Her tone was firm.

The man tossed his cigarette to the ground and walked over to Eleanor Bishop. He looked down at her pale face, his lips curling into a sinister smirk. "But you seem to have forgotten—I’m the one who’s supposed to marry you."

"Jason Lockwood! If it weren’t for your schemes, why would I ever be engaged to you? Besides, the one I was supposed to be engaged to was Archie, not you! You’re just a pathetic substitute living in his shadow."

The sinister glint in Jason Lockwood’s eyes grew more intense. He took another step closer to Eleanor Bishop. "Eleanor Bishop, sooner or later, you’ll come to me in tears, begging me to marry you. When that time comes, you’ll find out which of us, me or Archie Summers, is the one truly capable of marrying you."

With a cold, wanton sneer, Jason Lockwood departed. Eleanor Bishop watched his back, trembling all over. ’This man is a terrifying force. He’s the person I’ve feared most my entire life...’

A dark, inscrutable smile never left Jason Lockwood’s lips. He undid the buttons at his collar as he headed for the stairwell.

Recalling Eleanor Bishop’s words, the vicious glint in his eyes deepened. ’Eleanor Bishop has been a princess in everyone’s eyes since she was a child, and a king should be the one to marry the princess.’

’He didn’t love her, but he absolutely had to marry her. She was a prize he had been determined to win since childhood.’

"Ah... Help... Catch me, catch me...!" Just then, a sudden cry of alarm came from overhead.

Jason Lockwood looked up to see a woman tumbling down the stairs right at him. He frowned and coldly sidestepped, letting her fall past.

With a loud SMACK, the woman landed spread-eagled on the floor.

The loud thud made even the perpetually heartless Jason Lockwood frown slightly. He actually felt a pang of pain on the woman’s behalf...

He froze for about three seconds, then simply walked around the spot where she had fallen and continued on his way.

The woman watched as the man not only refused to catch her but also completely ignored her after she’d fallen. Her fiery temper flared, and she couldn’t stand for it.

"You bastard, you’d better fucking stop right there!" Jasmine Warren scrambled up from the floor, grabbed his arm, and roared.
