Divorce, Please: The Young Master Does Not Love Me

Chapter 225: Tolerance

Watching the intimate display between the two in the hospital room, Eleanor Bishop found herself rooted to the spot. The color drained from her lips, leaving them deathly pale.

She had never seen this gentle side of Archie Summers.

If she didn’t know any better, she wouldn’t have thought anything of it...

Only after seeing Mika Summers close her eyes did Archie Summers stand up. The smile on his lips vanished the moment he turned, replaced by a cold, indifferent expression.

He glanced at Eleanor Bishop standing in the doorway, his handsome brows knitting in displeasure. He strode over, grabbed her by the arm without a word, and pulled her out of the room.

They walked for a while. Once she was sure his men could no longer see them, Eleanor Bishop’s face crumpled in distress and she began to struggle. "Archie, let me go."

"Eleanor Bishop, what do you think you’re doing here? How many times have I told you to behave yourself during your pregnancy? Did my words just go in one ear and out the other?"

"I didn’t, Archie. I just came to see Mika today."

Archie Summers sneered, flinging Eleanor Bishop’s hand off him. He questioned her sharply, "See Mika? Let me ask you, I never told my parents that Mika was in the hospital. So how did you know?"

"I... I, Archie, I..." Eleanor Bishop looked around guiltily, unsure how to answer.

Seeing her like this, Archie Summers gave another derisive laugh. "I can let it slide that you had me followed. Now, get out of my sight and go home."

Her eyes red with hurt, she grabbed tightly onto Archie Summers’s arm and explained frantically, "Archie, you haven’t been home in days. I was worried about you! That’s the only reason I had someone follow you. I swear I didn’t mean anything else by it."

"Worried about me? Right. You certainly should be worried. If I found another woman, your position as Mrs. Summers wouldn’t be so secure, now would it?"

Eleanor Bishop looked at Archie Summers in a panic. "Archie, how could you think that of me...?"

Archie Summers once again pried her hands off him without a shred of mercy. "Eleanor Bishop, my tolerance has its limits. But you can relax. As long as you are carrying my child, I, Archie Summers, will not abandon you."

’As long as I’m carrying his child, he won’t abandon me... but what about after I give birth? Does he plan to abandon me then?’

"Archie, I know I was wrong in the past. I’ll change, I will. But I love you. I really, truly love you. You can’t be this cruel to me."

"Don’t you dare talk to me about love, Eleanor Bishop. Anyone in the world has the right to talk about love, but you? You’ve lost that right."

With red, resentful eyes, Eleanor Bishop said, "Archie, you weren’t like this to me when we were abroad. Why did you change the second you came back?"

"You’re asking me why I treat you this way? Don’t you know the answer to that?" ’The two things he could never tolerate in his life were deceit and betrayal. And this woman had deceived and betrayed him multiple times.’

’So why on earth should he treat her as well as he once did? Why on earth should he give her everything she wanted?’

"Archie Summers, do you have ulterior motives toward Mika Summers? Is she the reason you’re treating me like this?" ’Before, she might have understood why, but not anymore. She didn’t understand at all. She felt like she couldn’t read Archie Summers anymore.’

"Eleanor Bishop, what the fuck are you talking about? Mika is my own sister! I won’t have you spouting such nonsense." Startled by her sudden accusation, Archie Summers immediately snapped at her.

"Your own sister? You can use that line to fool outsiders, but don’t you dare try to fool me with it."
