A sharp crack echoed, followed by Liu Yangeng’s agonized scream. His entire shoulder blade had been shattered, and his arm hung uselessly as he slammed heavily onto the ground. His face instantly turned deathly pale.

"Apologize," Yang Qi said, glancing at Liu Yangeng with indifference. "Now, do I have the right to make you apologize?"

Just moments before, when Yang Qi had ignored the Green Emperor Sect members, they had all thought him arrogant. But now, after seeing him cripple a man with a piece of gum, they realized just how terrifying he truly was. That gum was soft, yet it had just shattered Liu Yangeng’s shoulder blade.

"You scoundrel! How could you be so cruel!" the elder bellowed, fuming with rage. Aside from Xu Yihan, Liu Yangeng was the Green Emperor Sect’s rising star, and now Yang Qi had destroyed his shoulder blade. He was so furious his eyes seemed to spit fire as his own terrifying aura flared to life.

"Hah, as I said before, an expert’s wrath can leave a field of corpses," Yang Qi scoffed disdainfully. "I asked you to apologize, but you refused, insisting on provoking me. Now that you’ve lost, you throw a tantrum? Old man, his injury is your fault; you can’t escape the blame. As the Great Elder, you’re completely blind and possess no judgment whatsoever."

"You little bastard, how dare you insult me!" the Great Elder roared. "So what if you defeated Liu Yangeng? Do you think that gives you the right to look down on me?"

Xu Yihan grew anxious. "Great Elder, you are no match for Commander Yang! Don’t do it! He’s on a completely different level!"

"Step aside!" the Great Elder bellowed.

"Great Elder, come look at Senior Brother Liu! His shoulder blade is completely shattered! This man is ruthless!" Zhang Miaomiao cried.

"Ruthless?" Yang Qi said coldly. "If not for Xu Yihan’s sake, after you provoked me like that, it’s already generous of me that you’re still alive. Besides, his attack just now held no mercy. He was aiming to kill me. Did you really expect me to go easy on him?"

The Great Elder’s brow furrowed as he faced Yang Qi. "Regardless, you have injured a disciple of my Green Emperor Sect. As the Great Elder in charge, I must regain our honor. Make your move!"

"Fight me? You’re not worthy," Yang Qi said with a glance. This man was merely a Fifth Rank Overlord. While strong, he was nothing to the current Yang Qi.

"You go too far!" Enraged, the Great Elder could no longer hold back. With a roar, he charged at Yang Qi like a fierce beast.

Yang Qi chuckled coldly. "Shameless fool. You were given a chance to save face, and you threw it away."

He took a single step forward and swung his hand in a slap.

CRACK!

With a sharp report, the Green Emperor Sect’s Great Elder was sent flying, a spray of blood erupting from his mouth. He tumbled a dozen times across the ground before coming to a stop, utterly disheveled and covered in dirt. But the filth on his body was nothing compared to the devastating blow to his pride.
