Unrivaled Soldier in the City

Chapter 506 Royal Club

"Alright, tonight we won’t go home until we’re drunk!" Lin Kuang said with a laugh, looking at the two of them.

Truthfully, I’m feeling a bit repressed myself. This is a good chance to have a drink and blow off some steam.

"Then it’s settled. Brother Kuang, I’ll head out for now. We’ll come and pick you up tonight," Song Lingping said with a smile.

"Sounds good. Go on and get your things done. See you tonight," Lin Kuang replied with a smile.

Hearing this, Song Lingping and Su Huachen gave a nod and drove away.

"They really do come and go in a flash," Lin Kuang chuckled to himself, watching their departing figures.

With nothing else to do at home, Lin Kuang sat down under the old pagoda tree to begin his cultivation.

Time flew by. At five-thirty that evening, Lin Guodong returned home just as Song Lingping, Su Huachen, Xu Yingying, Shen Yanyu, and Huo Feifei arrived. Two other girls, whose presence surprised Lin Kuang, also showed up: Shen Yanxia and Yao Wenwen.

"Greetings, Uncle Lin," Song Lingping and the others quickly greeted Lin Guodong.

Seeing the group, Lin Guodong knew exactly what they were up to.

"Hmph, you little troublemakers. Try not to get into a fight after a few drinks," Lin Guodong said, looking at Su Huachen and Song Lingping with feigned annoyance.

"Ahem, how could we do that, Uncle Lin? We’re all upstanding citizens," Song Lingping said with a wide grin.

"You little brat, cut the crap. You two, upstanding?" Lin Guodong scoffed.

Hearing this, Song Lingping and Su Huachen could only smile awkwardly.

After chatting for a bit, Lin Kuang left with the group.

Lin Kuang got into the passenger seat of Shen Yanyu’s car, while Xu Yingying and Huo Feifei sat in the back.

Shen Yanyu seemed a little excited as she looked at Lin Kuang, though she was trying her best to suppress it. She hadn’t seen him in over a year, so now that he was here again, the thrill she felt was difficult to control.

"Lin Kuang, you’re finally back," Shen Yanyu said with a smile as she drove.

Lin Kuang smiled at her words. He was well aware of her feelings for him. After all, she hadn’t hidden them in the slightest for years. Even someone as dense as him in matters of the heart could figure it out.

"Yes, I have. And you’ve become even more beautiful, Yanyu," Lin Kuang said with a smile, looking at her beside him.

Hearing this, Shen Yanyu’s pretty face flushed slightly, and her heart swelled with joy.

"It’s been over a year, and your mouth has certainly gotten sweeter," she said, glancing at Lin Kuang.

"What do you mean? I’ve always been this smooth," Lin Kuang replied with a laugh.

The two continued to chat like this, catching up on everything that had happened in the past year, and the atmosphere was incredibly pleasant. Huo Feifei and Xu Yingying would occasionally chime in, and everyone had a wonderful time talking.

"By the way, Lin Kuang, thank you for what happened with Yanxia in the East Sea," Shen Yanyu said gratefully.

When Shen Yanxia returned, she reconciled with her sister and told her everything that had happened in the East Sea. Shen Yanyu knew that if it weren’t for Lin Kuang, her little sister would have been done for.

"Don’t mention it. It’s what I should have done," Lin Kuang said with a smile, not giving the matter a second thought.

Nearly half an hour later, Shen Yanyu pulled up to the entrance of a club.

"The Royal Club. It’s been a while," Lin Kuang murmured to himself, looking at the splendid, glittering building and the lot full of luxury cars.

"I knew you hadn’t been here in a long time, so I brought you here," Shen Yanyu said with a smile.

The four of them got out of the car. At the same time, Su Huachen, Song Lingping, Shen Yanxia, and Yao Wenwen emerged from their vehicle. The group of eight entered the Royal Club together.

Upon their arrival, the staff stationed outside enthusiastically greeted Song Lingping and Su Huachen. "Young Master Song, Young Master Su, welcome."

"Yeah, we’re here," Song Lingping nodded, stepping into the club.

The Royal Club’s membership had four levels, from highest to lowest: Diamond, Platinum, Gold Card, and the standard Silver Card. Song Lingping and Su Huachen both held Platinum memberships, as they hadn’t yet reached the status required for the Diamond Level. Of course, not many people in Yanjing could obtain a Platinum membership; those were reserved for individuals with powerful backgrounds or high-ranking positions.

As they walked into the Royal Club, Lin Kuang mused aloud, "I think I still have a Diamond membership for this place. I wonder if it still works."

"Of course it works! Brother Kuang, your name is its own membership card! Heh heh, to be honest, I haven’t been to the Diamond Level in ages. Looks like we get to ride your coattails this time," Song Lingping said with a wide grin. The Diamond Level is overflowing with beautiful women. Any kind you could ever want—actresses, pop stars—they have them all.

"You little rascal. Come on, let’s head up," Lin Kuang said with a laugh.

With that, the group of eight entered the elevator and headed straight for the sixteenth floor, a place only accessible to those with Diamond Level memberships.

When they reached the sixteenth floor, the group stepped out and saw two men in uniforms standing guard at the elevator doors. Seeing Lin Kuang’s unfamiliar face, one of the men frowned. "Excuse me, sir. Could you please present your membership card?"

Lin Kuang smiled slightly. "My name is Lin Kuang. I was given a Diamond membership when the Royal Club first opened, but I’ve lost the card. You can look it up in your records. There should be a file on it, since there are only a handful of Diamond members."

The man was taken aback by his words. Lose a Diamond membership card? A card like that is worth millions! And he just lost it?

"Sir, are you pulling our leg? Besides, only the general manager has the authority to check that kind of information. We don’t have that clearance. If you don’t mind, sir, you can wait here while we ask the general manager to come and verify for you," the staff member said. His tone was dismissive, clearly showing his skepticism.

What the staff member said was reasonable, so Lin Kuang saw no need to make things difficult for him. "Alright. How long will that take?" he asked with a smile.

"About one or two hours," the staff member replied after a moment’s thought.

"What the hell? Are you kidding me? One or two hours? You expect us to just stand here and wait for one or two hours?" Song Lingping snapped, his temper flaring.

"I’m sorry, sir, but one or two hours is the best we can do," the staff member repeated, a hint of impatience creeping into his voice.

And just who was Song Lingping? He was a Colonel in the military and the eldest grandson of the Song Family. While his family’s influence couldn’t compare to the vast power of the Lin Family, he was still a major figure in Yanjing. For a mere staff member to take such a tone with him was infuriating, especially since Song Lingping was a natural-born troublemaker to begin with.

With that thought, Song Lingping lunged forward and slapped the staff member across the face. "How dare you get cocky with me!"
