Chapter 501 Airport Turmoil
Lin Kuang was already restless and emotionally unstable. He wasn’t in a good mood to begin with, so when someone blocked his path, his pent-up frustrations immediately erupted.
"Get lost!" Lin Kuang barked, his voice ice-cold.
"Well, well, where did this wild brat come from, acting so arrogant? You bumped into this young master and you still dare to throw a fit? Motherfucker, are you looking to die?" said the young man Lin Kuang had bumped into, walking over with a disdainful look.
At the sight of this, numerous passengers stopped to watch, curious about what was happening. After all, it’s human nature to enjoy a good spectacle.
"I bumped into you, and I’ve already apologized. What more do you want?" Lin Kuang said, frowning at the young man before him.
"An apology? If apologies worked, what would we need the police for? In any case, you bumped into me, and that pissed me off. This isn’t something a simple apology can solve," Huang Liang said irritably, his entire demeanor reeking of arrogance.
Hearing this, Lin Kuang frowned again. "What do you want, then?"
"What do I want? It’s simple. Crawl between my legs, and we’ll call it even," Huang Liang said with a smirk. This was a clear attempt at humiliation; no normal person would ever agree to such a thing, let alone Lin Kuang.
"What? You want me to crawl between your legs?" Lin Kuang couldn’t help but ask.
"That’s right. Otherwise, you can just wait for the police to take you away," Huang Liang said with a smug smile.
He wasn’t bluffing. His father was the chief of the local police department, and his authority was considerable. With a single word, he could indeed have an ordinary person arrested.
But Lin Kuang was no ordinary person. In fact, he was someone who absolutely could not be trifled with.
"You’re courting death!"
With that, Lin Kuang, caring little for his opponent’s background, swung his arm and slapped Huang Liang hard across the face. Fueled by rage, he held nothing back. The slap sent Huang Liang flying, knocking out two of his molars.
Huang Liang screamed and tumbled to the ground.
"Motherfucker! Get him! Beat him! Beat him to death, and I’ll take full responsibility for it!" Huang Liang shouted from the floor, clutching his mouth, his face twisted into a grotesque mask of fury.
He had never suffered such humiliation in Yanjing. Especially after being slapped by Lin Kuang in front of so many people. How am I supposed to face anyone in Yanjing after this?
At Huang Liang’s command, the two bodyguards charged, swinging their fists at Lin Kuang. But how could they possibly be a match for him? Lin Kuang drove a fist into one bodyguard’s abdomen, causing the man to double over and collapse, sweating from the intense pain. The other bodyguard received a vicious kick to the shin and fell to the ground, howling as he cradled his leg. He was not only out of the fight but could now barely even walk.
Seeing Lin Kuang dispatch his bodyguards so easily, Huang Liang was dumbfounded. These two were no ordinary men; they were special police officers assigned to him by his father, and they were quite strong. Huang Liang had seen them in action before and had always been satisfied with them. But today, Lin Kuang had taken them down with such ease that Huang Liang was left completely stunned.
The onlookers were also astonished. Though they didn’t understand martial arts, Lin Kuang’s swift movements shocked them. It was like watching a movie.
"I’ll let it go this time. I’m not in the mood to deal with you. Make sure I don’t see you again," Lin Kuang warned Huang Liang, then turned to leave.
Just then, a dozen or more airport security officers approached, led by a man in his thirties who appeared to be a squad leader.
Seeing the man arrive, Huang Liang acted as if he had found his Savior, struggling to his feet and rushing over.
"Captain Zhao, this guy attacked people! He hit my bodyguards and he hit me! Quick, arrest him!" Huang Liang said urgently, grabbing Zhao Feng’s hand, his eyes filled with venom as he glared at Lin Kuang.
Zhao Feng had heard the commotion and, seeing the large crowd, had brought his men over to investigate. When he saw that Huang Liang was the one who had been beaten, a headache instantly set in. This was the director’s son, and Zhao Feng himself was under that director’s command. He had no choice but to intervene on Huang Liang’s behalf unless he wanted to kiss his job goodbye.
Having made up his mind, Zhao Feng turned with a cold expression, ready to teach Huang Liang’s assailant a lesson.
However, the moment he turned and saw Lin Kuang, Zhao Feng’s legs went weak, and he nearly collapsed to his knees. He recognized Lin Kuang. Of course, he desperately wished Lin Kuang recognized him, but that was just wishful thinking.
In Yanjing, Lin Kuang was a man of immense stature. Even the highest-ranking princelings had to show him deference. And Huang Liang had dared to act arrogantly towards him? Was this guy not courting death? Forget him, even Huang Liang’s father would have to kneel and lick Lin Kuang’s boots!
Thinking fast, Zhao Feng quickly bowed. "Young Master Lin, please go ahead. I’ll handle things here," he said with obsequious respect.
Lin Kuang furrowed his brows. I didn’t expect to be recognized here. But this was good, as it would save him a lot of trouble. "Hmm, I’ll leave it to you," he said.
With that, Lin Kuang turned and walked away.
Seeing Lin Kuang leave, Huang Liang was baffled. How could he just let him walk away?
"Zhao Feng, have you lost your damn mind?" Huang Liang yelled, grabbing Zhao Feng by the collar.
"I’m crazy? You’re the one who’s fucking crazy!" Zhao Feng roared, slapping Huang Liang hard across the face. The blow stunned Huang Liang into silence.
At that point, Zhao Feng ordered his men to take Huang Liang away. Huang Liang shouted and screamed the entire way, enraging Zhao Feng so much that he wished he could just put a bullet in him.
Once they reached Zhao Feng’s office, he immediately unleashed a torrent of abuse on Huang Liang, leaving the young man completely bewildered. Just as Huang Liang was about to retort, Zhao Feng cut him off by revealing Lin Kuang’s identity.
"Do you have any idea who that was? That was Lin Kuang of the Lin Family! Young Master Lin!" Zhao Feng said gravely.
Huang Liang was about to curse back, but his mouth hung open as he froze.
"Lin... Lin Kuang of the Lin Family? He... he’s Lin Kuang?" Huang Liang swallowed hard, his face turning deathly pale as cold sweat dripped from his forehead.
"Yes!" Zhao Feng confirmed harshly.
Upon hearing this, Huang Liang’s eyes rolled back, and he fainted on the spot. Damn it! There’s plenty of trouble on Earth I could have gotten into, but instead I had to go and provoke the heavens!
Seeing Huang Liang faint, Zhao Feng spat in disgust. What a coward.
