The Witch’s baby face flushed, but since she had long known that Lin Kuang had other women, she was only shy and didn’t say much. The others chatted with her, mainly to get her acquainted with Yang Ruotong and Yang Ruoxi and avoid any future awkwardness, as they would all be living together.

Around one in the morning, the women went back to their rooms to rest. The Witch went upstairs to take a shower, while Lin Kuang naturally waited for her in her room. When she returned from her shower and saw Lin Kuang lying on the bed, her face grew even redder.

"You’re back?" Lin Kuang asked with a smile, looking at the Witch’s flushed face.

"Mhm," the Witch nodded, her face still red.

Noticing this, Lin Kuang couldn’t help but chuckle. "What’s there to be shy about? It’s not like we haven’t been together before."

"Jerk, what girl wouldn’t be shy?" the Witch retorted peevishly.

Hearing this, Lin Kuang pulled the Witch into his arms and said with a grin, "You won’t be shy in a little while."

As he spoke, without waiting for her to reply, he immediately sealed her red lips, kissing her passionately.

The Witch naturally didn’t resist. After so many days apart from Lin Kuang, she had honestly missed him a great deal. She especially found it embarrassing to think about the times he became forceful.

The night passed without a word. At five o’clock the next morning, Lin Kuang woke up on time. In truth, he had barely slept. The two of them had been frolicking and chatting until after four, so he hadn’t gotten much rest.

After getting out of bed, Lin Kuang went into the bathroom to wash up. Afterward, he stood in the manor’s courtyard and began practicing Tai Chi Chuan. Just as he finished, his cell phone suddenly rang.

Lin Kuang was stunned. Who would call this early? He quickly took out his phone to check.

Seeing the call was from Zhang Lianmei, he was momentarily surprised but answered quickly. "Hello, Lianmei. It’s so early. What’s up?"

"Yes, something’s up. That newcomer in East Sea, Gao Dongran, is sending people to investigate you. He’s also secretly gathering information about your dealings with the Eagle Sect. I discovered this last night and have had my people looking into it. I only called after confirming it," Zhang Lianmei said hastily, her tone filled with worry. Through her channels, she had uncovered a few things, especially about the family behind Gao Dongran. Zhang Lianmei couldn’t overlook their immense power. If he truly decided to move against Lin Kuang, Lin Kuang would be in grave danger, so she was naturally very concerned.

Hearing this, Lin Kuang just chuckled softly. "Tsk tsk, that kid knows to gather evidence now? That’s not his style. It seems someone is advising him. Don’t worry, our contact has been minimal, and there’s almost nothing they can connect us with. They won’t find anything, even if they investigate. However, have your people keep an eye on him for me, including those around him. Inform me as soon as you have any news."

"Yeah, I understand. I’ve already wiped clean all traces of our dealings. They won’t find anything even if they try to check," Zhang Lianmei said confidently. After all, this was her area of expertise, and such matters were incredibly simple for her.

"Well, that’s good. You’ve been a great help these past few days, Lianmei. Once we’ve dealt with Gao Dongran, we can finally rest easy," Lin Kuang said with a smile after a moment of thought.

"Okay. But, Lin Kuang, that Gao Dongran is from the Gao Family, one of Yanjing’s four great families. Is it really okay to make a move against him?" Zhang Lianmei asked, voicing her biggest worry.

Hearing this, Lin Kuang laughed and nodded. "Since I’m the one dealing with him, I’m naturally confident. You don’t need to worry about anything else."

At his words, Zhang Lianmei immediately sighed in relief. Logically, someone in her position shouldn’t be so emotional. Yet, for some reason, his assurance made her feel at ease, as if he could solve any problem. Or perhaps it was her intense, suppressed love for him? Or maybe his overwhelming power had conquered her? Who knew...

"I understand. I’ll have my people monitor their movements and will inform you the moment I have news," Zhang Lianmei said with a smile.

"Mhm, thank you, Lianmei. Remember to get some rest," Lin Kuang said caringly.

At his words, Zhang Lianmei felt herself melt. Her heart warmed, and a layer of mist formed over her beautiful eyes.

"Yes, I will. You too, take good care of yourself," Zhang Lianmei said, her face flushing. Her tone became incredibly tender, like a young bride instructing her husband who had just left home.

"Alright then, let’s leave it at that. We’ll be in touch if anything comes up," Lin Kuang said with a smile before hanging up.

Listening to the beeping from the phone, Zhang Lianmei couldn’t stop the tears from streaming down her face.

"Do I still have the right to love him?" she muttered to herself, caressing her enchanting face.

By this time, Lin Kuang had entered the main hall, where everyone else had gathered, chatting and laughing. Yang Ruotong and Liu Shilin had gone into the kitchen to prepare breakfast.

The Witch was actually very sleepy and wanted to sleep in, but she wasn’t very familiar with Yang Ruotong and Yang Ruoxi yet and felt it would be impolite to get up too late, so she rose early. There she was, yawning on the sofa, so drowsy she could barely keep her eyes open.

At that moment, a sleepy Xinxin came groggily down the stairs. Lifting her little face, she greeted everyone with a cheerful smile. This cute little rascal was adored by everyone; at the very least, Lin Guo’er and Liu Shilin were very fond of her.

"Eh? I’ve never seen this auntie before," Xinxin asked curiously, looking at the Witch.

"Little girl, this is Liu Shiyu. She’s also your auntie. Be a good girl and call her auntie," Yang Ruoxi said, smiling as she ruffled Xinxin’s hair.

"Oh, hello, Auntie! My name is Xinxin," the girl said with a grin, standing before the Witch.

Seeing how adorable Xinxin was, the Witch’s sleepiness vanished completely. She stretched out her arms and pulled Xinxin into an embrace.

"Xinxin, you’re so cute," the Witch said joyfully while holding her. She hadn’t known there was a little one in the house.

"HEE-HEE, everyone says that. Auntie, you’re so big here, bigger than the other aunties," Xinxin giggled, her little hands playfully squeezing the Witch’s breasts.

Watching the scene unfold, Lin Kuang and the others couldn’t help but chuckle, eventually bursting into laughter. The little one was just too funny.
