Chapter 61
Chapter 61
They first presented the potential relic, giving Sonny a description of what the necromancer had done with it. If of course, the ability had been linked to the small spear rather than inherent to the monster they had fought.
“That would be some kind of Blood weapon ability. I would assume its quality hovers around the adequate stage, seeing how it was used by a necromancer, and how it didn't kill you on the spot, Veron, no offense meant.”
“None taken.”
Sonny looked the spear over. “Flashy spells like that, especially incorporating blood flames, use up a lot of Focus. It's difficult to master a relic like that. If it is a relic at all. That's what any merchant would tell you to lower the price. Truth is, any Blood Path relic will fetch a higher price than its quality and utility would likely provide. Even more so if it looks flashy.”
“Because it's adjacent to the Runic Path?” Isaac asked.
“Yes. And because any reasonably wealthy or important Runic Path from Sevarra to Lyrie needs a few relics to show off at balls and parties, and to impress their peers or romantic interests, be that at military training schools or the Grand Academy. With the quality you're probably working with here, this won't catch the interest of any actually important figure but for the sons and daughters of said figures, this is a perfect piece.”
Veron exchanged glances with the other adventurers.
“How much do you think it's worth?” he asked. “If it is a Relic.”
