The Villain Reborn as Game's Final Boss

Chapter 388: Deal [12]

Arthur gritted his teeth as he channelled more mana into the circuit, thereby increasing the potency of the spell.

Diana, seeing the scale of the attack, was a little startled at first, but she wasn’t a rookie in combat either.

Quickly adapting to the situation, Diana launched several spells to counter the fire released by Arthur while at the same time, her domain worked to suppress the explosion that was trying to destroy it.

If Arthur had initiated a single large spell, then the damage could have been curtailed with relative ease, but with all of his clones isolated all across the domain... Diana had indirectly fuelled Arthur’s attack, paving the way for such a level of mass destruction within her domain.

Still, being inside her domain... Diana was the de-facto ruler and the Sovereign of its territory, allowing her to better use the mana at her disposal to reduce the extent of damage Arthur’s spell could do to her domain.

But the damage wasn’t small, as the entire domain was just a step away from being destroyed, or at least that was what would have appeared to the observers of the battle, had there been any.

The entire expanse of purple, including the surface as well as the purple sky suspended above... all of it had developed massive cracks that were devouring the vitality of the domain at a rapid pace, as Arthur’s spell was still in motion... its destructive fire spreading to every corner it could reach before being culled by Diana’s own spells.

Using the mana from nature, Diana kept replenishing her reserves while at the same time, she employed new spells and perfect abilities developed by her, that were a counter to the raging fire that was trying to burn down her domain in its entirety.

And to an extent, she was being successful in it, but—

Arthur’s smirk didn’t escape her notice, as the guy once again implanted his sword within the cracks formed across the surface of the domain.

The solution that Arthur had arrived at was... in a way, quite the simple one.

If one couldn’t directly overpower an enemy with immense vitality and a never-ending source of energy, then the next best thing that could be done was to hollow out the enemy from within.

And that was exactly what Arthur was trying to accomplish at the moment.

The domain, after being severely damaged, wasn’t able to resist Garthel’s intrusion like it had done before, and thus Arthur was able to implant his sword into the enemy’s domain with... relative ease.

Not only that, but he was even able to influence the mana deep within the domain with finer control, as Diana was still busy trying to counter the aftermath of his spell.

All of his clones had now already implanted their swords within the surface of the domain, while Diana tried her best to predict what Arthur was trying to do, in order to stop him before it was too late.

But no matter what, she couldn’t understand why the kid before her was being so confident in himself.

Did he find some weakness in her domain, or was there something else?

The thought was a brief one for her, as she had to once again focus on consuming huge chunks of her mana reserves to battle the spell deployed by Arthur across her entire domain.

Maybe isolating his clones wasn’t the best decision she could have taken in the battle.

Arthur, on his part, took a deep breath before closing his eyes and focusing his entire attention on his mana core, which was still providing the mana required for his spell to blossom.

"Come Forth—Gartha."

Arthur softly whispered, willing his domain to come into existence around his vicinity once again.

But—

There was a difference compared to the last time Arthur had called his domain.

At the moment, the domain wasn’t spreading out of Arthur, but taking Garthel as the epicentre... the domain was spreading around it, and with the sword being implanted into the surface of Diana’s domain—

Arthur was effectively trying to mix his own domain with hers.

Or, to say in simpler terms, he was trying to pollute Diana’s domain, after analysing her weaker control over it.

All of Arthur’s clones spread across the vast expanse of purple did the same thing, and so... the purple expanse began to develop hints of a blackish hue, with its cracks being filled by the influence of Arthur’s domain that had now begun to seep deep into Diana’s fragile domain.

Maybe if Arthur had a complete domain, he wouldn’t have been able to do so, or maybe... he would have been able to achieve the same outcome with greater efficiency.

No one could tell, but one thing was certain.

At the moment, whatever feat Arthur was trying to accomplish could very well turn into his death sentence.

A domain wasn’t just an extension of its user; it was a world filled with condensed mana of the individual who owned the domain.

Mixing his domain with Diana’s, Arthur was practically inviting foreign mana to influence his own mana.

With an incomplete domain, his defences were far weaker than Diana’s, but... that didn’t stop him from taking the risk.

"Madman!"

Diana’s roar echoed in the open expanse, as she realized what her enemy was trying to accomplish.

Arthur simply smirked as he willed more of his mana to support the spread of his domain into Diana’s world.

With the two opposing forces clashing with each other, more cracks began to form across the purple world, the only difference being... this time there were hints of a black poison invading their space.

The mana required to power up large-scale spells in multiple locations while at the same time having employed an ability like Mirage Clone... Arthur’s mana reserves were dwindling at a pace like never before.

Adding to that was the expenditure of his domain, which was using its entire might to conquer all the territory around it.

The fight had somehow turned into a battle of egos, as if the two domains had come to life, refusing to lose against their counterpart.
